Best Comps to play in TFT Patch 13.24 – Las Vegas Open Edition

Crowd Divers and Ahri comps are kind of... broken. Find about these comps that dominated The Vegas Open this last weekend (and use them to climb too!).

Teamfight Tacticsț biggest LAN event just ended this last weekend crowning Milala as the champion. And while the TFT Vegas Open TVO) had a presence on some of the most popular comps from the last patch, there were new ones that were mainstays throughout the entirety of the tournament.

Not only these comps are among the BEST in the game currently, but a few of these setups haven’t been picked up yet by most players. Find about these comps and more below.

Winning with Annie Reroll

Crowd Diver Yone

Crowd Diver Yone comp

The new most OP comp, Reroll Lv. 7

Don’t sleep on Yone, since the last patch he has been ramping up and destroying China TFT lobbies (one of the best servers), and with buffs for several key units (Yone, Zed, and Viego), this comp is on another level this patch.

When do you want to play this comp?

  • If you have good components/items for your carries (Recurve Bow, B.F. Sword, Titan's Resolve)
  • If you find on your level seven rolldown a Yone Headliner with the Crowd Diver bonus
  • If you aren’t contested (one of the most popular comps of the patch)

This comp is all about using Yone as your main carry, the extra omnivamp when fighting prolonged fights and damage from the Crow Diver trait turns Yone into a 1v9ing god. Also, having extra carries in Viego (Edgelord, Pentakill) and Zed (Crowd Diver) makes this comp even better.

The problem with using him is that you do rely on hitting your Crowd Diver Headliner bonus in the trait, on positioning (don’t let your Yone die early), and that by going level 7 you can bleed out before fully coming online.

This comp was a protagonist on the Final Day at TFT Las Vegas Open

However, if you end up finding your six Crowd Divers and have your setup complete, it is one of the strongest comps to win lobbies.

If you like to play with one unit becoming a GOD and 1v9ing the board alone, and for those who want to rack free LP and love to play melee comps, this is your best bet.

To learn the ins and outs of this comp, you can check LeDuck’s guide to have a much better understanding of the comp (units, items, augments) along with the strategy (when to level, positioning).

Quick side note: There may be times when you cannot find Yone with the Crowd Diver bonus, in those cases you can opt to play him on Edgelord but keep in mind that is not that good. Or look to go for level 8 and play instead Viego/Zed to play a trio carry setup. If it’s Heartsteel just skip it and play another comp like Country Samira.

K/DA Spellweaver

Spellweaver Ahri comp

Ahri is popping off in 13.24. Lv. 8 comp – Fast 8

After nerfs to Fast 9 and outliers, Ahri rose to the spotlight quite literally in this K/DA Setup.

What makes this comp so deadly is capping with the K/DA bonuses with both Ahri/Akali as your carries. Right now Ahri should melt most frontline quite easily while Akali takes care of the back line.

In the TFT Las Vegas Open it was one of the best-performing comps.

When do you want to play this comp?

  • If you find a good KDA/Superfan Opener
  • If you have good components (Tear, Needlessly Large Rod, etc.)
  • If you find a lot of Ahri and Akali copies at level 8

In regards to drawbacks, one of them is that this comp is not the best to cap and win lobbies. It gets run over by the likes of Yone Crowd Diver comp.

Secondly, you may struggle to find units like Akali that are contested by other comps such as Pentakill or True Damage.

Overall, this is a fairly simple comp that curves pretty well into the late game. Great for getting Top 4s and snatching some wins now and then.

You can can check LeDuck's guide on how to play K/DA Spellweaver to learn the different board variations, when to level, items, and much more.

Miss Fortune/Bard Jazz Reroll

Jazz MF Bard comp

Not the best comp anymore, but still really good. Reroll Lv. 6/7

Talking about capping hard, again Jazz makes up the list and is still one of the best comps if you go to nine (with four Jazz). However, nerfs to Jazz’s augments along with the trait/unit tune now make you rely on hitting your 3-starred units.

Besides the negatives, with Jazz being far less contested is going to be way easier to play it compared to the last patch, where everyone was spamming it, so if you mastered this comp already you can still use it (you’ll be surprised by its strength).

When do you want to play this comp?

  • Find That’s Jazz Baby Augment
  • Find Headliner Miss Fortune or Bard
  • You aren’t as contested

To play this comp effectively, especially which units to prioritize, best augments, tips, and strategy for the different stages (including the strategy to play around one-cost rerolls), you can check out this guide from LeDuck, which goes in-depth explaining each aspect.

Akali/Karthus Pentakill

Akali Karthus Pentakill

Pentakills are scary on this patch. Lv. 8 comp – Fast 8

Although 2 Executioners got nerfed (mainly to nerf this comp), the buffs to units like Viego and people figuring out to play more around Mordekaiser 3*, actually make this comp even more powerful than in the last patch.

When do you want to play this comp?

  • If you find yourself with copies of Karthus/Akali at level 8 (or find them as Headliners)
  • Find Metalheads or good combat augments for this comp (Idealism, Healing orbs)

The main strength of the comp is taking advantage of the sheer power of your duo Karthus and Akali. Akali is great at threatening the enemy's backline (remember to position her on the opposite side of their carries) while Karthus finishes them off with his ability.

To top it off, you have the Pentakill trait bonuses ramping with kills and a third carry unit on Viego.

However, there are chances that you are contested in both Akali and Viego (see other comps).

On the bright side, Pentakill emblem still is as good as ever and without a lot of people playing this comp, this is your chance to smash your enemies.

If you want to learn Karthus's way and Pentakill enemies, check LeDuck's guide on how to play this composition properly.

Country Samira

Country Samira TFT

The second-best Reroll comp and one of the most popular comps from TVO. Reroll Lv. 7

The nerfed healing and attack speed bonus from this patch did not impact much the strength of this comp and still stands among the best ones.

When do you want to play this comp?

  • If you find early copies of Samira or Urgot
  • If you find Country headliners early (Tahm Kench or Katarina helps)
  • You are not contested (you MUST hit your units)
  • Good augments to reroll or Items for your carries (Samira and Amumu items are key)

This comp is all about Tempo and getting your Samira or Urgot Headliner 3*. The key to this comp is to win streak early thanks to your extra unit from Country’s Dreadsteed (Summoning Unit) to save up HP and buy yourself sometime when rerolling to get your 3-star units.

Once you have your units online, Samira and Amumu are your golden duo to win fights even against the most capped boards.

After that, you can level up and get extra units to get the W. There are many more details to play this comp the right way though, for that you can check LeDuck’s guide to learn all the ins and outs.

Annie Reroll

Annie Reroll

After the nerfs, she’s still really strong. Reroll Lv. 5

Annie’s change to the Superfan Item (Spear of Shojin to Jeweled Gauntlet) did impact her performance in the game. However, she’s still really good in getting Top 4’s, and one of the easiest comps to play around (and one-trick).

It is really important though that you play faster than in the latest patch, now this comp really needs 3-star Annie early to take advantage of your power spike and win streak through Stage 3 before falling off.

When do you want to play this comp?

  • If you find a lot of Annies in the early rounds (and you are not contested)
  • If you have good components/items (Recurve Bow, Giant's Belt, Tear of the Goddess, B.F Sword)
  • If you have good Augments (like Learning to Spell or Combat Caster)

This comp still has the chance to win lobbies if you play your cards well, having Sona at 9 and Ahri’s recent buff still allows this comp to be one of the most powerful to climb with.

To play this comp effectively, especially which units to prioritize, best augments, tips, and strategy for the different stages (Including the strategy to play around one-cost rerolls), you can check out this guide from LeDuck, which goes in-depth explaining each aspect.

As in every patch, especially Remix Rumble, having a flexible outlook on the game is what going to make you climb besides knowing the best comps.

One way to know the different options is to learn about them. You can check LeDuck’s Augments Tier Lists (to learn the best Augments), or look at the team comps section so you can learn the different lines that weren’t covered here and help you to become well-versed at adapting like the pros.
