Hmm, Silver III has been a frustrating experience for me. For one, it seems like nothing is under control. It's like everyone just dies left and right for no rhyme or reason. Everybody just wants to kill each other, but not focus on doing things that win the game. Teammates' are very inconsistent; they're either ridiculously good or horrendously bad.
For me, the result has been a series of up and down streaks. win 2, lose 2, win 3, lose 3. I've made it to two promotion series, only to lose both of them in straight games, but then I get right back into one. I'm currently on my third try to get promoted from Silver III. Hope I don't lose it AGAIN.
I wonder if this has been just a bump in the road and I could possibly climb further, or whether I'm actually nearing the end of the road. I'm not even really sure if I've been playing that well. Maybe I'm just getting used to the pace of the game at this higher elo and I'll take off on another streak again. Or maybe I'm nearing the end and settle down around silver II or I, or perhaps Gold V if I'm lucky. I dunno. I can't really tell if I'm actually playing poorly during my losses or if I'm just getting unlucky with teammates (I know, I shouldn't blame the teammates but some games I swear... just total baddies).
Anyway, here's to another couple of promotions... hopefully.

At times like these, you just admit you're bad, man up, and learn to carry your team.
^ This. I've been in Silver 2 a lot, then fallen to Silver 3 and had a hell of a time trying to get out. Eventually, you just acknowledge the fact that your teammates are going to be bad 90% of the time, you pick a role to main, and you carry your team.
Plus, as bad as your team is, most of the time the other team is just as bad (ok, maybe a little btter), so if you see them do something incredibly stupid, rally your team together and exploit their mistakes.
Just put the team on your back and carry their ***es! If those comments I read above are true, that you only play support mainly, DONT. Support is probably the worst role to carry games.(I am not saying support is useless, they just can't carry) Another solo Q tip, don't blame teammates, blame yourself. I would do the same thing and say the reason I was in Bronze 1100 ELO was because my teammates were just bad. But if you have that mentality EVERY loss, you will not improve yourself thus making you lose more games. In solo Q, EVERYTHING is your fault!
Please.
It's only after I decided to learn support that I realized how naive it is to think that you can't change a game by playing support.
While yes, at a certain point it becomes impossible, I've had teams that were just impossible to do anything about.
BUT
if you do it right, you can turn fights around. I cannot even count the amount of times that I have saved my teammates in what would otherwise be a triple kill, or turned an expected ace into acing the enemy.

also, on a side note, actually playing support is intense as ****. When you actually get to team fighting, your literally just mashing your buttons in a frenzy.
So, **** all of you.
Support is the REAL hardcore role.
reasons cuz im bad

Showoff.
Jk, but yeah I eventually do just suck it up and try to carry.
Psychofrench purty much said everything I was gunna say to bioalchemist, lol. And yes, finding an ADC bro would be awesome, but alas, it hasn't been meant to be quite yet. Honestly, I'd rather duo with a sick jungler than a sick ADC tho.
I just started ranked myself Sunday, and I main support. I read the same thing, that support is the most difficult role to main to go up in the rankings. I almost believed it,after going 5/5 in my placement and getting dumped in Bronze I. Then I won 6 straight games and 7/1 in my league to move to Silver V, all as support. I feel I have more control over my lane and you still have an influence on the game by making suggestion in champion select, warding properly, keeping track of timers and making calls. Yes, you can't carry and you can't make other people play better, but you can still contribute greatly to your team success through other means. Just don't give up and keep trying, it will happen.
well said. not saying he can't move up...trying to make the point that if you find a good adc to duo with it should make things a lot easier.
I stalked your summoner profile and found that you main support. That is most likely why you can't move up. Not that I am an expert at support but you and I both know that (A) a whole lot depends on your ADC and (B) you are the one role that really has no ability to carry a team to victory. Unlike say mid akali that if fed can snowball like a boss and carry a ****py team. Overall based on your stats though seems like you are a beast support (obviously miles better than me) so just grab a good adc that you find through random games and duo queue. At least than you don't have to go in wondering if the adc will be good or awful.
