I peaked emerald. I'm usually a tanky jungler. My mains are Rammus, Zac, and Amumu as of this moment.
From my experience, would be to master your jungle decision making if you want emerald. Another tip would be being able to track the enemy jungler. That skill alone will help your decision making on if to gank or to not.
These are champions that I found are good to pick up for climbing the ranks. Easy to learn and pretty straight foward for overall play making.
I recommend learning one solid build or try finding the core item/s that makes the champion hit their power spike.
For example, Rammus power spike would be Thornmail.

Easy plat
These champions alone may be all tanks but trust me. You can get plat learning the simple one build from each of the champions. Easier to learn your one category of tank items since the champions below all used them.

These champion have speed. You ARE THE CARRY. Kill kill kill and win those games.

champion to better your ganks
You will see these champions often gank and can gank as early as level 2. Look for opportunites to do so.
