Henlo TOPLANEPROFESSOR! Been super busy, so I have not been able to get around to doing much but I am here. These are going to be the things that we are going to be looking through ideally with this review. STRUCTURE: From an organized perspective, this is essentially how you develop and utilize code. CONSISTENCY: Frequency with which you change things around. INCLUDINGS: Things like Runes, Items, Matchups, and even whole sections that should be added. MY CONCERNS: Anything that doesn't pique my interest enough to serve as a guide or as filler.
Items and Runes Your attention should be drawn to the fact that this section of the guide should be detailed without being excessively complicated. Although your runes and are documented well, your notes contain a number of typos, including grammar and capitalization problems, in addition to having an excessive amount of information with the wall of items.
Wall of items When you reach this section, where there are numerous recommendations for him, you won't see Tahm Kench constructing the majority, if not all, of these items. While I only ever play as our lord and savior, Teemo and not him. In my own view, it is an eyesore and should be removed or condensed a bit more, try to be more like the below example.
Condense Example Because the majority of people will simply copy and paste the elements in the order that they appear on your guide without giving any thought to the reasons why (this) and (that) are preferred in different scenarios, you should make sure that it is easy to understand and straightforward by utilizing the grouping feature of your guide.
Matchups You might already know that the "cheat sheet" for match-up information is the portion right after the items and runes section. This is a really lengthy piece of writing. In contrast to your Synergies, which are legible and do not contain a plethora of symbols and all capital letters, the excess of that is not ideal because it gives the impression that you are attempting to highlight the runes you wish for people to choose or do a lot of code, but the result is incredibly messy and unappealing because code does not work in notes. The tools here aren't great for those who want to be detailed, so it's usually best to discuss matchups in detail in a spreadsheet or Powerpoint instead or in a dedicated section in the body text. For the purpose of readability, I would keep these uncluttered and plain, without any capitalization or symbols.
Lacking Given that you expressed interest in participating in the next Guide Contest, I feel obligated to let you know that, personally, I prioritize well-written, well-structured, and aesthetically pleasing content that is both informative and engaging. I don't see anything aside from "I was Rank #1" (not that I think that's a terrible thing). Other than attempting to increase views and utilize it more as a publicity stunt, I fail to see how that translates to being the a good guide. There are some very good guides out here that are made by unranked players all the time. Videos and information are available here but reading or watching it does not feel great unless you improve the appearance. There is a lot of vibrant colors orange, blue, and white with lots of underlining. Putting up a guide like this is to me feels lazy, though I am overly critical. In short, there is no code outside of the base ones which are very easy to apply by tapping a button in the editing console. You can learn the fundamentals of guide design and structure from any number of guides published by Mobafire staff members and community members. These guides will teach you how to create basic tables, columns, and more. Again, it feels really basic, so I'd like to see some effort put into it as a whole if at all possible.
If you want to achieve a Semi-good looking guide carefully edit the cheatsheet and considering the body text (BBCODE). But for the time being, it's just a jumbled mess with too many colors, too much text, and no discernible structure or form. Don't punch me! ~Cat

Thanks for the review , i have improved some things according to the points you made . That being said i dont intent on expanding my introduction as i am here to show you what to do to play this champion optimally , also the #1 is absolutely a publicity stunt( gotta convince the viewer that im not just saying random reccomended items that i came up with in my iron 4 games ) and having cool colors and fancy graphics should be used only when there is a point to make ,im not trying to build a garden here , just the raw information ppl need compressed into one guide instead of wasting 50 games to learn them. But maybe our points of view just dont match for example you say "There are some very good guides out here that are made by unranked players all the time." I am 100% not in sync with that. Either you know something and can prove it or you don't have anything of value to offer.

Items look a bit tidier, could definitely be polished a bit more, but that's more of a me thing for perfectionism. I can't say we agree with each other, overall then.

I've previously been Rank #1 on a few servers as Teemo (EUNE and LAN) as a Platinum-Diamond player with an 82% WR (I hate ranked), but I don't really care to disclose this because, in my opinion, it's not something that really matters outside of sounding like "I'm the best, shut up your opinion is invalid, lol" which always comes off as super condescending as it is easy to manipulate that outcome by playing a fresh account.

Many guides today are simply that. "I am the best player in the entire world, click this link!" Which irritates me because, no matter how good you are, there will always be someone better than you, it's just unlikely that they care to disclose any information pertaining to the champion because they don't have the time to explain or more importantly code. In my case, I have always hated my guide and I always want to make it better, visually and informatively, which shows motivation to teach, create and grow, rather than again boost publicity.

So what I'm trying to convey is, at least for me. I search for quality and accuracy not just rank. Take a guide made by @ Shark of Void for example. A constant format throughout. They put effort into their images, comprehension of the champion, clear speeds, and all that good stuff making it a nice read. The more creative you get, the better.

How does this review work:

I'll be going into four 'main' topics: Cheatsheet, Content, Presentation and What can be Improved?. All of these topics alone can turn a great guide into an even better one. Just knowing the ins and outs of your champion alone won't be enough if you're not able to properly convey said information. The end goal is always to make it easier for the readers that come to your guide of course.

I'll specify these main categories with purple text within this review, as well as some subcategories which will mostly depend on your guide chapters and for that I'll use the following rating system:

>Runes: Adequate

I see that you have and here together with . However, some statistics say that most players that play toplane make use of and coupled with where and is used. How come the rune options you've picked are better here for Tahm compared to what stats are currently showing?

The only times is used as a 2nd on him is when building AD - but here you run , not , and you still run and , not the options you've chosen. You explain that is better than no matter what in your notes, but I just find it hard to believe when stats don't really corroborate that.

You also mention and here whilst showing . If Second wind is the current best value rune to pick (hence why it's shown/recommended), then Conditioning is not "best value" - if it was, it'd be picked instead. I believe you should remove conditioning if it's not worth picking compared to the other 2, the explanation for bone plating is a lot better.

's use is not explained - why should me as a reader pick this rune when I play Tahm?

provides a lot, but so does , I don't really see why footwear should be prioritized more than the latter, when the latter (biscuits) is picked more by stats.

I believe the explanation for the smaller runes (Adaptive/MR/Armor/AS) could be a lot more concise. It's already pretty obvious that these only give what they're supposed to give, either Attack damage, magic resist, armor or attack speed, shouldn't be needed to explain it so much in my opinion.

Honestly quite unsure about your page, you swear that it's a good page because other players play it, but you're not really confident about it at all. If you don't use the page, isn't confident about it and absolutely despise the tree, why would it be even needed within the guide? It wouldn't seem very viable if it's not a page that you'd use and to me (as someone who does not play ) - all I'm understanding from this is that the rune page sucks.

For your ADC Kench rune page, as mentioned before, stats indicate that and is used the most and not and , why are these options better than the stats that show what everyone else is already building? The rest of your rune choices here along with your secondaries do corroborate what statistics show as well which is good.

You mention that you essentially need for this page - but not why. Why is this rune useful? What does it even do? I also don't think your explanation for choosing here is that valid (considering as a secondary page is also used for other lanes like Toplane and Midlane by most players who play this champion, not just at Botlane because the lane is 4 players). I believe it could be explained a bit more.

>Summoner Spells: Adequate

ADC Kench spells seem terrible. Stats pretty much always prefer + , so I truly wonder how these 2 spell combinations become better for ADC - this can be explained with notes here, since currently you have none for these 2 spells.

>Items: Decent

Your items are a bit messy personally, I would try to change them to something like this maybe:

By doing it this way, you'll be able to explain your items a lot easier and it won't feel so crowded. You can include notes for your starting item (and I changed it to "Starting Item", not "Starting Items" as it's only one item), and also include notes for your example build that briefly explains why the build is important.

All your situational items are split up into their own descriptions, this way you can include notes with brief explanations of why each item actually matters for , instead of having all of them placed into one massive mess.

The options for boots is also included here instead as both of them aren't necessary to have within your example build (a full build is only 6 items including the boots, you can just include 1 pair, it's fine). I've also grouped together all the mythic options you've got, and if you'd like you can include your notes for those mythics here instead, it's easier to explain each of their importance this way.

>Ability Order: Adequate

Other Tahm players tend to run Q>W>E as their first 3 levels, but here you are recommending Q>E>W instead, why? You mention that you should Q max and W max, which is great - keep this. Just explain the reasoning behind your early level options.

>Threats & Synergies: Exquisite

Note: These are already good as is. Ideally you can just include some more synergies as some of the ones you've got are pretty empty.

Note: There are some spelling mistakes here which I would recommend you to fix. Try using a Google Document or Microsoft Word otherwise to check your grammar if you've got a difficult time with it.

I believe you can expand onto this section a bit more, as the text is a bit messy to read through and it's hard to grasp what the purpose of them are.

What you can also do is turn your youtube links into actual videos, this makes the section a lot easier to bear with. Something like this:

This lets you show the video instead of having random links scattered throughout your guide using the embed feature. With the use of the "center" tags you can also center the videos if you wish. Additionally you can use the "width" tag to change the width of the video depending on if you want it to be bigger or smaller by changing the amount of pixels within the code (currently at 500 pixels in the example).

Note: Could just turn this section into an introduction, introduce yourself. It'll help. Otherwise it just feels pretty bland.

This section can be expanded more. I'm pretty positive there are many more "general guidelines" for toplane (and even adc) that can be talked about other than this. It feels way too short.

There are 8 positives you talk about when it comes to his strengths, yet there are apparently only 3 negative? I feel like there are a lot more negatives to .

This section can also be formatted better, in lists or otherwise. Make it so that you can see each point of positive or negative in itself instead, rather than all of it being a massive wall of text.

Presentation

If there's one thing I'd say about your guide that I feel like you can improve on, it'll definitely be this. I know very well that making use of BBCode can be a very tedious task in of itself to make use of or just to be able to get familiar with in general, but when it comes to presentation, making use of some more code can really make your guide become more alive, so to say.

Here are a few coding guides that we already have on the site that could help you if you'd be willing to dedicate some of your time to learning it (or if you just want some quick templates to make your guide look a bit more tidy):

- Making A Guide (has lots of free to use templates)
- BBCode Guide (the actual bbcode guide if you'd want to know how different codes work)
- A Table Coding Guide (talks about the bbcode that is called tables)
- Responsive Columns (talks about responsive columns; mainly for mobile side coding)

>Theme of guide (color scheme): Will need a lot of work

I feel like having a bit of a color theme would go a long way for any guide. This will be especially clear if you were to incorporate some BBCode for your sections. When I say the word 'color theme' I mean using colors that best represents the champion & guide you're trying to make. For example, you're currently using the "Shan Hai Scrolls" skin, which means that a good color theme to have could be e.g. Blue/Green/Gold to fit with the skin. If you were to not use a skin and only the base one, Gray/Red would be a very nice combination with that one and so forth.

You use a lot of different colors for your guide, but they tend to become quite a overbearing. I would rather stick to a few colors and rather warmer colors, so they don't become way too much.

Your guide is also riddled with spelling mistakes. I would advice to try and fix them if you're able to and if it's too difficult you could also look to use a Google Document or Microsoft Word to help with grammar.

What can be Improved?

Making guides more extensive takes a very long time and a lot of dedication, but if you want to spend more time making your guide more informative try to explain more topics such as:

- Early laning phase
- Game phases (how to play Tahm in the Early- Mid- and Late Game)
- How to play around objectives (apparent as an ADC)
- Explaining the actual matchups - it always varies (especially for Toplane and Botlane)
- How to avoid ganks / tracking the enemy jungler
- Vision and warding in general
- Combos?
- Splitpushing (apparent as a Toplaner)
- Sidelaning (apparent as an ADC)
- Wave Management - What is slow pushing, fast pushing and freezing
- How do you set-up a freeze
- Lane Priority
- Playing around your jungler
- Potential win cons - if any, again objectives play a good part here

These topics can all be useful topics to explain, and of course there can be multiple more I haven't mentioned that you can talk about when it comes to Jungle as a role, but I feel like these are some of the more important ones to consider.

Overall Thoughts

For your first guide you've made, it's pretty alright and the information is okay. Like mentioned already, if you fix up some sections a bit more and work more on the presentation aspect of your guide, it can definitely become a more solid source for players looking to pick up .
