Ability Sequence
Overheal | ★ Overheal is useful if you're building lifesteal, otherwise its basically useless. Not sure if it works with Trundle's passive King's Tribute. Will test this soon. |
Triumph | ★ Triumph synergizes well with Trundle's passive King's Tribute as they both give you health when something dies. |
Presence of Mind | ★ Mana regen is not needed on Trundle. Both Overheal and Triumph are far superior choices. |
Legend: Alacrity | ★ Trundle makes great use out of attack speed as his most reliable source of damage are his auto attacks. |
Legend: Bloodline | ★ Auto attacks and Chomp are his main source of damage, and lifesteal procs from both. This rune got nerfed but it is still an okay choice. |
Coup de Grace | ★ Good if you do or your team are able to do a lot of damage. |
Cut Down | ★ Trundle usually gets a lot of health in many of his meta builds so he will almost never be able to use this well. |
Last Stand | ★ Reliable rune on Trundle as he is a frontliner that heals midfight. I usually take this over Coup de Grace. |
Cheap Shot | ★ Chomp slows its target by 75% for 0.1 seconds, so he will able to proc the bonus true damage with every q. Allows works with his Pillar of Ice. |
Taste of Blood | ★ Pillar of Ice actually does "0 proc true damage" according to the wiki, so you might be able to activate Taste of Blood with your e. |
Sudden Impact | ★Useless on Trundle as he has no reliable way to proc Sudden Impact in his abilities. |
Zombie Ward | ★ Utility + stats, takes a while to stack as you need to kill enemy wards. Works for support or jungler role as they clear wards the most. |
Ghost Poro | ★Utility + stats, takes a while to stack as your wards need to expire NOT killed. |
Eyeball Collection | ★ Pure stats and no utility unlike the previous two, but can be stacked a lot faster. |
Ravenous Hunter | ★ Gives you omnivamp which Trundle can use well as his autoattacks, Chomp, and Subjugate can activate this. If you're going domination secondary then this is one of the best options in the tree. |
Ingenious Hunter | ★ Cooldown on active items, only useful on Trundle when you're building Stridebreaker or Goredrinker. |
Relentless Hunter | ★ Out of combat movement speed, useful when you're running to gank as Jungler or roaming as Top/Support |
Ultimate Hunter | ★ Subjugate allows Trundle to crush/match up to his opponent, so the cooldown reduction helps a lot with that. |
Nullifying Orb | ★ extra survivability vs AP threats. |
Manaflow Band | ★ Trundle doesn't really need the extra mana or mana regen so its not that useful on him. |
Nimbus Cloak | ★ Movement speed is amazing on Trundle as it allows him to RUN FASTER to escape enemies or chase them down. Especially great in the Jungle as he can smite to gain movement speed. |
Transcendence | ★ Trundle doesn't really need cooldown reduction to do good. Only real use of this would be to reduce cooldown for Subjugate and Pillar of Ice. Could be useful as it also reduces basic ability cdr by 20% of remaining cooldown for every takedown, so his Pillar of Ice can be used twice within 30 seconds. |
Celerity | ★ Again, movement speed on Trundle is good. Boosts movement speed with no condition, gets even better when he uses his Frozen Domain or with Waterwalking. |
Absolute Focus | ★ Only gives you bonus stats when you're 70% or more hp but Trundle is a frontliner so this will never be good on him. |
Scorch | ★ Only works when you damage with your ability so only works with your Chomp or Subjugate, not sure about Pillar of Ice. |
Waterwalking | ★ Extra movement speed while in river, so only useful in the Jungler or when you're roaming as Top/Support. |
Gathering Storm | ★ More stats the longer the game goes on. Get this if you think the game will last long. You outscale most tanks so this will let you do that but even more. |
Demolish | ★ BIG damage on turrets based on your health, and Trundle usually builds health which will allow you DEMOLISH turrets. |
Font of Life | ★ Heals your teammates if the enemy is slowed/cc'ed by you. Viable as both Chomp and Pillar of Ice slow. Get this if you want to help your carries stay alive. |
Shield Bash | ★ Basically useless on Trundle as he doesn't have shields. Can't be reliably used so you will almost never use this. |
Conditioning | ★ Bonus armor and magic resistance after 12 mins, this is amazing on Trundle as he usually builds tank and his Subjugate steals armor and magic resistance from enemies, which is then further boosted by Conditioning. |
Second Wind | ★ Healing after getting damage. This is great into ranged/poke matchups and will allow you sustain in lane. |
Bone Plating | ★ Damage reductions for 3 attacks/abilities. Amazing since it will massively reduce any damage you take in short trades or against burst. Better than condition before 12 minutes. |
Overgrowth | ★ More health. Synergizes with Grasp of the Undying, Demolish, and anything health related. |
Revitalize | ★ More healing/shielding, especially when you or your teammates are below 40% health. Can be great on support if you're using Guardian or Locket of the Iron Solari. Trundle heals alot anyways so this basically boosts it by 5% or more. |
Hextech Flashtraption | ★ Flash but you can time it. Can be used to suprise the enemy or make plays. I think this is great if you're playing support or looking to make plays. |
Magical Footwear | ★ Free boots and extra movement speed. |
Perfect Timing | ★ Not that good on Trundle as he will never build anything out of it. |
Future's Market | ★ Allows you to go into debt to finish your items. Situational, but I almost never use it. |
Minion Dematerializer | ★ Extra damage to minions. Viable on support? |
Biscuit Delivery | ★ Free potions that heal more when you're low and give you max mana. |
Cosmic Insight | ★ Summoner CDR and item CDR, can be great on support. |
Approach Velocity | ★ Gives you movement speed towards enemy if they're slowed?! Guess who has two slows. |
Time Warp Tonic | ★ 50% of potions are given immediately, and the rest of its duration. Extra movement speed when you use them too. Great with Corrupting Potion. |
