PASSIVE
ABILITY
ABSORTION (Passive): When units die near Senna, their souls are periodically trapped by the Black Mist. Senna can attack these souls to free them, absorbing the Mist that held them in death and granting Senna 8 gold. Mist fuels her Relic Cannon's power with increased Attack Damage (0.75 attack damage per soul), 20 Attack Range and 10% Critical Strike Chance every 20 stacks.
Q
Piercing Darkness (Q): Senna shoots a bolt of piercing shadow through an ally or enemy. Dealing physical damage to enemies and slowing them by 20 for 2 seconds. Allied champions hit are healed.
W
Last Embrace (W): Senna sends forth the black mist, dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit. After a 1 second delay the target and other nearby enemies are rooted for 1.25-2.25 seconds.
E
Curse Of The Black Mist (E): Senna dissolves into a cloud of mist, becoming a wraith. Allied champions who enter the mist are camouflaged and become wraiths when they leave. Wraiths gain 20% Movement Speed. They are unselectable and hide their identities as long as no enemy champions are nearby.
R
Dawning Shadow (R): Senna fires a blast of light with global range. Enemy champions hit take physical damage. Allied champions hit in a wider area receive a shield for 3 seconds. The shield's power scales with the amount of mist Senna has collected.

This leveling will be your typical skill leveling. You max Piercing Darkness because it's your main damage (besides auto attack), then Last Embrace; its root duration increases, and finally Curse of the Black Mist, because maximizing this ability only gives you more camouflage duration

This leveling is like the standard, but you level up Curse of the Black Mist for the first time to level 4. This will give you more damage and healing by sacrificing movement speed and Curse of the Black Mist camouflage. I only recommend doing this if you feel safe in your lane.

FLASH

Flash
Always use this spell, it is the most useful for escaping from complicated situations or for engage.

HEAL

Heal
This is my favorite spell when your adc is using another one, if he doesn't want to change his Heal, don't take two, swap to another spell.

IGNITE

Ignite
This spell is very good against teams that have a lot of healing, like Aatrox, Yuumi, Soraka, Samira, etc.

BARRIER

Barrier
It is not one of my favorites, but in some situations it is useful. I recommend to use it against aggressive bot lane, such as Draven, Leona, Alistar, etc.

EXHAUST

Exhaust
For me this is the second best secondary spell you can take, it is very useful against many champions and even more vs. assassins.

Tank

Grasp of the Undying allows you to stay in lane with the healing it gives you, besides giving you permanent health for the late game.
Biscuit Delivery helps you not to run out of mana when healing your allies or poke enemies with Piercing Darkness.
Approach Velocity gives you an easier way to get souls in lane by applying Piercing Darkness and then an auto attack.

Lethality #1

Fleet Footwork helps you to stay in lane longer without dying thanks to the rune's healing, it also gives you some movement speed which can be useful in some situations.
Biscuit Delivery helps you not to run out of mana when healing your allies or poke enemies with Piercing Darkness.
Approach Velocity gives you an easier way to get souls in lane by applying Piercing Darkness and then an auto attack.

Lethality #2

First Strike makes enemies take more damage and at the same time get your build faster because of the additional gold it gives you.
Future's Market like First Strike helps you get your power spike faster by being able to buy items even if you don't have enough gold.
Presence of Mind helps you not to run out of mana by damaging an enemy.

Anti Engage & Engage

First Strike makes enemies take more damage and at the same time get your build faster because of the additional gold it gives you.
Bone Plating gives you a lot of survivability in team fights and makes it harder for assassins to burst you.
Overgrowth gives you permanent maximum health to get to the late game more robust.

Healer (4FUN)

Summon Aery gives an extra shield to your allies when hitting them with Piercing Darkness, Dawning Shadow and even Curse of the Black Mist gives them aery shield during the camouflage effect.
Manaflow Band gives you mana, which this build needs a lot of.
Transcendence gives you a ton of ability haste to spam Piercing Darkness and Dawning Shadow in late game.

MYTHICS

Divine Sunderer
This is my favorite mythic because of the good balance between the health it gives you and the damage it provides. In addition to this, it's a good tank melter thanks to its passive; which does damage according to the maximum health of the target, and its mythic passive; which gives you 5% armor penetration per legendary item.
Eclipse
This mythic is the one which grants you the greatest amount of damage due to the large amount of AD and lethality it has in its base stats. Also, the shield of the passive can be extremely useful to survive in duels or team fights.
Locket of the Iron Solari
Although it seems weird or troll this item is pretty good for Senna, it gives you enough health and resistance to avoid being one-shot, a shield for your allies that will make enemy assassins weep and it is also cheap so you will get your mythic before anyone else in the game.
Imperial Mandate
Like Locket of the Iron Solari, this item is very good in some situations. If there's a Hecarim, Rammus or something similar in your team I highly recommend this item, the enemy carry will not be able to do anything thanks to the extra damage that gives you the mythic by applying Piercing Darkness or Last Embrace.
Moonstone Renewer
As I said before, this item is only 4fun, it is not viable for ranked games. It is based on the ability haste of your abilities and that, with each auto attack you hit, you heal nearby allies.



LEGENDARIES

Anathema's Chains
This item will prevent being one-shotted by someone who is fed, besides allowing you to root someone with Mercury's Treads for a longer period of time.
Ardent Censer
This item is only useful in enchanter builds, your Piercing Darkness healing and Dawning Shadow shield will increase and it will boost your and your allies' attack speed.
Axiom Arc
In addition to the good offensive stats of the item, it will allow you to have Dawning Shadow faster after getting a kill or assist.
Black Cleaver
This item is essential in almost all Senna's builds, it gives you good stats of health, damage and ability haste, it will also reduce the armor of the enemies, which will allow you to kill tanks faster.


-OR-
Chempunk Chainsword & Mortal Reminder
Both items do the same thing, apply grievous wounds; the only difference is that Chempunk Chainsword gives you more ability haste and health, and Mortal Reminder critic and AD.

Edge of Night
This item will help you to avoid cc and not to get picked up. I strongly recommend it against Leona, Nautilus, Morgana and Blitzcrank.

Guinsoo's Rageblade & Infinity Edge
Both items are critical modifiers, Guinsoo's Rageblade does not allow you to hit them, but gives you more attack speed, and Infinity Edge makes them do more damage. In my opinion infinity edge is better, but it depends on each person.

Lord Dominik's Regards
This item allows you to melt tanks with a lot of health more easily. It is good against Sion, Zac, Ornn and Dr. Mundo. It is not recommended in the tank build because you don't get 100% of its potential.
Navori Quickblades
This item reduces the cooldown of your abilities when you hit critics, it is only feasible in the healer build, in which it is essential to spam Piercing Darkness and Dawning Shadow.
Rapid Firecannon
This item has a very good synergy with Senna's passive Absolution, it is useful when you need to out range some abilities like Zenith Blade, Mystic Shot or Alpha Strike.
Serpent's Fang
This item is rarely used, but it is very powerful thanks to its shield reduction passive, vs. peel supports such as Lulu, Karma or Renata Glasc is the best you can buy.
Staff of Flowing Water
This item is very similar to Ardent Censer with the only difference that instead of giving attack speed, it gives your allies AP and ability haste.
The Collector
This item is very useful in Senna as it gives you 3 important stats in the champion (AD, critics and lethality). It is very effective against squishy compositions.
Titanic Hydra
This item is similar to Black Cleaver because of the high amount of health and damage it adds to your stats. It is useful if your team needs more wave clear.
Umbral Glaive
This item is perfect for AD supports, it helps you to control vision and at the same time provide good damage thanks to the lethality of the item. Besides detecting wards it also sees Noxious Trap, Captive Audience, Bushwhack and Jack In The Box.
Vigilant Wardstone
This item was very bad when it came out, but after a buff it entered the scene. It allows you to have 3 Control Ward in your inventory and place 2 of them at the same time on the map. It also increases your AD, health, AP and ability haste by 12%.
Youmuu's Ghostblade
This item is good for the large amount of lethality it gives you, but actually the active is almost useless, maybe to follow someone who is running away but it is not one of the best actives.


BOOTS

Berserker's Greaves
It can be useful in the lethality build, but there are better options than attack speed.

Boots of Swiftness
These boots are the best in general, they allow you to kite more easily, counteracting her slow auto attacks

Ionian Boots of Lucidity
They are useful in builds dependent on ability haste, such as engage, anti engage and healer.

Mercury's Treads
It is a great help in any build, it gives you more magic resistance and tenacity to shorten the duration of cc.

Mobility Boots
They are not the best option to help the other lanes, you have Dawning Shadow which is better to help from the bot and not leave your ADC alone.

Plated Steelcaps
As Mercury's Treads is a good option in any build, it is very valuable against AD and auto attack compositions.

Sorcerer's Shoes
Just, no.

PASSIVE TIPS & TRICKS


Souls Drop Ratio


This is one of the most important things to know when playing Senna, the soul drop ratio is different for each unit.
  • Epic Monsters (Drakes, Herald and Baron) = 100% ➡ 2 Souls
  • Enemy Kill = 100% ➡ 1 Soul
  • Large Monsters (Red, Blue, Big Wolf, Big Raptor and Big Krug) = 100% ➡ 1 Soul
  • Large Minions (Cannon and Super minion) that Senna doesn't kill = 100% ➡ 1 Soul
  • Small Minions (Melee and Caster) that Senna doesn't kill = 28% ➡ 1 Soul
  • Small Monsters (Small Wolf, Small Raptor and Small Krug) that Senna doesn't kill= 28% ➡ 1 Soul
  • Any Minion and Small Monster that Senna kill = 2,7% ➡ 1 Soul

So... if you are alone in lane and no one can farm the wave you should only farm melee and cannon minions.

Q TIPS & TRICKS


Q Range


The range of Piercing Darkness is the same as the range of auto attacks. Buying Rapid Firecannon and having souls increases the range of Piercing Darkness.


Ward + Q (Enemies)


As well as allies, you can throw Piercing Darkness to wards, this is very useful for chasing running enemies.


Ward + Q (Tower)


You can also use ward + Piercing Darkness to throw towers without entering its range.


Ward + Q (Drake)


And to steal drake from outside the pit too.


Vision Plant + Q (Drake)


Also to steal drake you can use the vision plant with Piercing Darkness.


Q Cooldown


For each auto attack that Senna hits, the cooldown of Piercing Darkness is lowered, this is useful if you need to heal an ally quickly because someone applied him Ignite or poison.



W TIPS & TRICKS


Instant Root


Last Embrace takes some time to root, but if it kills an enemy when hit, the root is applied instantly in its area.


W + Flash


You can extend the range of Last Embrace by using Flash at the same time as this ability



E TIPS & TRICKS


E Entry


Although it may not seem like it, Curse of the Black Mist is a great way to enter places like the drake or to gank. Enemies think it's only Senna, but there are 4 more champions in there.

R to objetives


You can't steal objectives with Dawning Shadow (please don't do this, I've seen many senna doing this).


R to souls


With the R you can grab the souls from the floor. This is not useful but I think it's important to know to learn the 100% of the champion.
