So ive played ekko since the launch and i was noticing that even with a very good ultimate and getting the regen from it i was still dying fairly quickly in extended teamfights. So i thought i tried try out rushing rod of ages and i think i may have just found the ultimate ekko build path. this build shows the path for building against double ap BUT the only major difference is whether or not you build abysal scepter, and with the RISE of the new RYZE i thought it would be necessarry. so next time you are able to pick up Ekko try it out. Rush rod of ages, i even go as far as starting with mana crystal and backing as soon as i have enough gold for catalyst, so back around 1000 gold pick up the catalyst some pots and some wards or a pink. After you got Rod complete you can then move into his traditional core items such as ludens echo deathcap and zhonyas. Remember if youre up against double ap pick up abysal asap. I've also found that lich bane is kind of a waste of gold when it gets to late game because of Ekko's low cool downs you are able to spam abilities while still utilizing his passive stacks with his E.
