Welcome to my first guide, featuring Evelynn The Widowmaker

You probably want a Evelynn that can kill but also refuses to die, well here she is :)

In this guide I will be showing you how to build that Eve, and how to play her.

What makes this build different from many other build is the skill sequence and the items. Which is the most important.

If you are a pro with Evelynn but want to get better. Then just jump to Skill sequence, items, summoner spells and early game-late game

For runes I take,


9x Mark of Insight for Magic Pen, easier to kill people early game. That's what you want right?

9x Seal of Potency, For the better start.

9x Seal of Potency, Same as above.

1x Quintessence of Potency, Same as above.

2x Quintessence of Insight, Same as Mark.

Pros :)
-Great Ganker
-Stealth ofcourse xD
-Kill Squshies (Kat,MF,Ashe) in about 5 sec.
-Great Carry
-Cleans up kills after team fights xD (If that lucky Yi runs is a bush to recall :P )

Cons :(
-Oracle or Vision wards. (They will see you in stealth)
-Weak laneing
-They will probably focus you if you are a threat, which you will.

For Masteries I take:

9/0/21

Making sure I got that magic pen on offensive, and better exhaust.

21 in utility. Because you want:
-Better Flash.
-More Exp.
-More Mp5.
-More movement speed = survivability and better ganking ;)
-Even more reduced cooldowns.

Evelynn's passive skill will repenlish your mana and get you in stealth if you are out of combat for 8 seconds. This passive is very good if you go to gank from your jungle, by the time you gank, you will have enough mana without having to recall.


Your main skill. You can proc your Sheen with it :) Also it does insane damage. Remember that it priorites the target you attack. If you go in Wolf camp and attack the big wolf, your hate spikes will hit the big wolf, so posistion your self to hit all 3 wolfs :P


This skill will give you movements speed for 3 seconds and also remove all slowing effects.

This skil also has a passive. When you attack a enemy champion you get movement speed. The effect stacks up to 4 times.


This skill is really awesome, you get insane attack speed from it for 3 seconds. Remember that it proc's on hit effects. So if you build a for example, Madred's Bloodrazor, It will proc 2 times. :D


It will deal 15%/20%/25% of enemy max health in magic damage. + 1% every 50 ap you get.

Also for every enemy you hit you get a 150/225/300 health shield. Which lasts for 6 seconds.

At lvl 6, if you hit 5 you would get 5x150. Meaning a shield with 750 health!.

If you are jungling I strongly recommend Smite and Ghost

Now this is the Important part of this guide!

Why do we max Ravage before Hate Spike?

Yes your DPS is way higher with Hate Spike than with Ravage. Think this way, you want to go gank that Miss Fortune, you Exhaust her and start spamming Hate Spike. and when Exhaust wears off she has more than 40% hp left which is more enough to run away with Ghost and Flash

We want to kill that Miss Fortune not to waste our Exhaust and let her run...

But if you max Ravage first, your fight will turn out like this.

You use Ravage, right after start spamming Hate Spike. and THEN Exhaust continue spamming Hate Spike. If she flashes, Flash after her. Your Ravage should be up before the Exhaust wears off. And you got the kill safely.

Max Hate Spike second. Will be your secondary attack and the ultimate Lich Bane Proccer

Put ONLY 2 points in Shadow Walk. You don't need to be in stealth more than 20 seconds, if you do then you are doing something very unnecessary

NOTE: I have to say it now, I don't buy a Soulstealer. Why?

Pros with Soulstealer
-Very high AP
-15% Cooldown Reduction on 20 stacks
-Its like 2 items in 1
-Highest AP item.

Cons with Soulstealer
-If under 20 stacks this sh** is useless
-You will be risking your life for kills and you won't get them.
All soulstealer user's stops thinking if its about stacks.


Core Build:


I find Rageblade really good when stacked with Hate Spike
Remember to always buy blue elixir's for extra AP and CDR

Situational Items:


If they got heavy magic resist


If they stack hp and magic resist



If you get focused late game, when the battle is at its climax



Consider buying Oracle's yourself if you think the other team is using .

Grab your Boots 1x Health Potion and 2x Mana Potion


All you can do early game is just to farm and last hit minions. Remember to use your Q too :P

Don't bother with the enemy champs. But if they are very low on hp and cross the midline then go for it.

Remember that you got very low damage on low level so you shouldn't be taking any risks. Don't feed the other team!
When you got 650g you should recall to buy your Mobility Boots

Farm some more and get a Meki Pendant.

At this point you should be watching the other 2 lanes for possible ganks. Gank Mid/Side whenever you can. You need kills/Assists

Try to finish your Morello's if you haven't allready done it. Allways look out for ganks. You are Evelynn, you must allways kill someone! "I like it when they scream!"

After getting some kills you will be getting your items earlier. Which will increase your damage.

Remember to get Elixir of Brilliance, it will give you more AP and CDR which is allways good to have :)

If they got a on their team, consider buying a Oracle's Elixir. Stalk him and kill him whenever you can. He is a threat to your team like you are to their.

If you got most of the items, you should be very dangerous now.

Teamfights should be happening all over the map, your job is to get thoose low hps behind their turret's/friends. If you see anyone with under 30% health or something, don't be afraid. Stealth in kill that noob with ravage. Pop your ulti and GTFO Repeat :P

Did you know?:
If they spend money on Oracle's Elixir they won't be able to buy their core items, which will bring your whole team to advantage :D

Consider buying a Oracle's Elixir if they are using Vision Ward

The only way to counter Evelynn is

If you see someone with the oracle buff ask your team to gank him as soon as possible. You want to get rid of all Oracle's to be effective.

The only time you engage a Oracle's Elixir user, are teamfights. Wait for your team to jump in and jump after them. Kill the Oracle's Elixir user first and stealth around :)
