This guided is aimed toward taking the best of Taric as a tank.
Why tank ?
cause in my opinion Taric's armor buff is one of the best tanky def abilities. combining that with his stun and massive buff ulti and you got yourreself a rather good supporting tank.

this guide may not be complete so if you like give me some feedback pls.

The runes are pretty straight forward for a mana tank.
Marks
For Marks i like to tank the Greater Mark of Alacrity this will let you atack faster so you can get mana back quicker.
you can swap these out for another Mark, but i find these to be the most effective

Seal
For Seals i takeGreater Seal of Clarity this will help to keep yourre mana up. this means you can keep stunning champions and keep healen you and youre laning partner early game.

Glyphs
For Glyphs i like to take Greater Glyph of Shielding why these and not armor? cause taric already has a great armor buff.

Quick explanation of my masteries pretty straight forward for tanks 0/21/9

Resistance 3/3
Magic res always good.

Hardiness 1/3
just to get to the next tier so... yeah.

Strength of spirit 3/3
I love Strength of spirit espacialy since Taric's mana pool will be pretty high so this will give you a good HP/5 boost.

Evasion 3/3
just nice to have to activate dodge for the next masterie.

Nimbleness 1/1
nice to have since yourre tank and often guarding the rear while retreating.
saved my life a few times.

Veteran's scars 4/4
Nice amount of hp to keep you alive early game.

Ardor
Nice amount of atackspeed + ability power will help youre heal+ulti.

Reinforce
very nice since i picked fortify, very usefull if the enemy team is backdooring.

Tenacity
yourre tank, pretty mutch explains itself

Perseverence
Regen is good, HP and Mana regen is great.

Good hands
had to pick something, can be swaped if you choose other summoner abilities.

Expanded mind
mana regen for youre abilities.

Greed
i like to have this since yourre not gona grab to mutch farm from youre laning partner.

i start with a Faerie charm 2 sight ward sight ward
and a hp pot
this will get you though the first few lvl's,

After that grab some boots and maybe a Philosopher's stonePhilosopher's stone great allround regen will make you lane longer... plus the gold is nice

Then uprgade yourre boots to mercury's threads mercury's threads and start building towards catalyst of the protector catalyst of the protector

finish up on banshee's veil
after that force of nature
