Hi, sorry for the bother but I just wanted to ask why do you take demolish for hard matchups and shield bash for even ones, isn't it supposed to be the opposite? (I'm sorry if the question is stupid please keep up with me here)

So I take demolish in hard matchups because, Sion can push wave really fast (Q+W and sometimes you can E the wave too), so after your opponent backs you can hardpush the wave take a plating, and back, because enemy wave will slowpush towards you, so when you come back in your lane the both waves should be in the middle of the lane (If your opponent has tp, then just push the wave asap and back, after some time wait for your opponent to back again and THEN you can push and get a plating). And I take shieldbash in easier matchups because, your strong trades can become even stronger, shieldbash scales with Sion's kit amazingly (yes I know demolish does too),but shieldbash can be more effective than demolish, I think we can all agree that shieldbash is more usefull in teamfights rather while splitpushing, this also depends if your team is fed or not. If you want to learn when to splitpush check the comments below. I hope this kinda helped xD?. (Also you can swap shieldbash for demolish whenever you want, it's just my preference).

I'd say the best one is full lethality, because lethality and armor penetration actually ignore some turret armor so you just basically eat those towers, and it's best if you run demolish, because it scales of your max HP, and Sion doesn't need to buy health items - he gains a lot of health from his W passive. So if you have at least 3 lethality items and demolish a turret will get destroyed in about 5 seconds :)

You should splitpush if you have a fed carry in your team (Yasuo, Yone, Samira, Jax, Kaisa and so on..). Lets say there is a drake spawning in 20 seconds, and all teams are grouping up to teamfight/contest it, if you have teleport available you can tp to a pushed in wave near an enemy tower, and destroy, this will make enemies worried about their base so they will either back (which mean they give your team the drake) or they could teamfight. Basically splitpush when your team is fed, DO NOT splitpush if your team is losing as this could tilt your team and get the enemies ahead, but if both teams are stalling for an objective and you have tp, then sure why not. Sion is more of a teamfight champion with lots of CC, splitpushing is good but not the best. And if you're getting ganged up on and stopped, splitpush when you see all 4 or 5 enemies on the map, if you don't see at least 2 or 3 then back off because they are most likely coming to kill you.
