Lets now start with our OP Shen Build guide and how to win games easier than ever!

Let’s start about why we call Shen with this build IMMORTAL, the answer is pretty simple cause its going to be close to IMPOSSIBLE to die, no matter what enemies you will have!
Shen as a champion got a very powerful and almost non-punish kit, you can literally go in with your Shadow Dash then press Twilight Assault behind the target to apply the bonus damage from the skill and then Spirit's Refuge that together with your Ki Barrier that giving you a SHIELD and DAMAGE cause of our runes that we will explain next and do an insanely big damage to the target while taking ZERO DAMAGE BACK, lane phase and overall the game itself is all about how good you can "Trade" with the enemy and how "healthy" you are going to be after your engage, we created a build that will let you be always FULL HP while sustaining tons of damage and doing even MORE to the enemy targets!

With this build Shen will be a total MONSTER in ANY LANE, be it Top, Mid, Jungle, support or even BOT cause we maximizing his potential greatly by using the BEST item-runes combinations that will make you unstoppable while of course having tons of fun while playing him!
Shen is one of the champions that not only will totally destroy any champion, or even 3 champions (1v3) with our build, but will also support his teammates cause of your ultimate that giving a great amount of shield and cause of Revitalize even more!

So Balorians lets get started by explaining WHY Shen with our build is the STRONGEST one of all, by first understanding what our Runes will give to our favorite champion!

Let’s start by talking about runes that will start making you the real TERROR of the summoner's rift!
For Shen we got only 1 option of main rune choice and 3 choices for the secondary runes tree
For Resolve:

Grasp of the Undying One of the most powerful runes in the game for champions like Shen this runes will give you 3 stats, bonus damage with % of your HP that will work greatly with your Twilight Assault that giving max HP from the enemy target, % of HP HEAL back and one of the most important stat that most people forgetting is the 7 permanent HP each time you using it!

Shield Bash A super important rune, a MUST TO HAVE for Shen and one of the reasons that to go for Grasp is the only way, it will give you bonus Armor-Mr each time you got a shield PLUS bonus damage that scales with the % of the shield for your next basic attack cause of your Ki Barrier you will use Shield Bash EVERY single time and will give you great sustain and damage at the same time and cause of the new Spirit Visage and Revitalize that will increase the healing and shields by 40% the damage from this rune will be EVEN GREATER than before!!

Second Wind Another monstrous rune, HP REGAIN each time you receiving damage from the enemy that scales with your MISSING HP, people keep underestimate this rune, but cause of this rune and Doran's Shield you will be totally UNSTOPPABLE early, cause of this double regeneration from level 1 you will have ability to trade with the enemy for AS LONG AS YOU WANT and kill them easily while being Full HP!

Revitalize One of the most BROKEN runes that on certain champions works incredible, Shen is one of them, 5%-15% BONUS HEALS that together with Spirit Visage you will increase this to 30%-40% and will make you an IMMORTAL MONSTER! Also you will increase your SHIELDS by 30%-40% that means your Ki Barrier plus your Stand United to shield your allies and give them much more sustain as well!

For the secondary runes tree we got two different options!

Domination:

Sudden Impact Bonus true damage after using your E or R, another powerful option instead of Cheap Shot

Cheap Shot Bonus True dmg after your CC, that means you will activate this rune non stop with Q-E making you use also true damage on your engages!

Taste of Blood If you want better sustain, then this is your option, bonus HP each 20seconds while damaging your enemies, this amount will multiplied by 40% cause of Revitalize and Spirit Visage

Ultimate Hunter Bonus Ability haste for your Ultimate, our Stand United is one of our biggest weapons for our Immortal bear, now we will use it FASTER and destroy them more EASIER!

And also Precision:

Triumph Missing HP Heal plus bonus gold for every kill/assist, you think the heal value is low for this rune, but in reality you will be gaining more than 500-600 HP per kill/assist, cause you will multiply this heal by Revitalize and Spirit Visage

Legend: Alacrity If you got close to none CC against you, then to go for this rune is a must, bonus attack speed that together with your Twilight Assault will let you activate Sunfire Aegis second burn effect WAY MORE TIMES than before and apply even more damage!

Or

Last Stand Bonus damage while you are low hp that will combine with the bonus damage from Riftmaker and reach up to 21% bonus damage effect!

By having this combination of runes you will realize that Shen is many times stronger than you think, making him impossible to die while having the damage to kill them all!
Now that you understood what our runes giving to our monster let’s continue with the item choices.

As we talked above Shen start item will ALWAYS BE no matter what the Doran's Shield plus a Health Potion this will give you an insanely big amount of regeneration that from the early stages of the game will make you unstoppable and unable to die!

Doran's Shield is a super gold efficient item that will give you stats that goes up to 300+% of its actual cost and together with Second Wind is going to be the reason that with just these two together you will be close to be IMMORTAL from level 1, also cause Shen doesn’t need mana (only energy that you will refund while fighting) you can freely farm, poke, fight for as long as you want!

Our first back item will always be Bami's Cinder not only you will have bonus HP but also AOE damage around you also we need a Refillable Potion and Cloth Armor if we got enough gold, your main focus is to go back to base with 1150 gold, in order to buy Bami's Cinder and Refillable Potion something that people ignoring is that by buying Refillable Potion as soon as possible in the game, you will have free pots all lane phage long and you will also sell it and gain back some of the gold that you invested to this item, making it TOTALLY FREE!
Then our main focus in to first buy Bramble Vest cause of the armor and its effects will make us even stronger, you will repel back damage while applying the Grievous Wounds effect that will reduce their healing at the same time!


Note that the armor of the Bramble Vest will not only reduce the physical damage that champions doing to you but also the physical damage from creeps, jungle camps, towers and overall any source of physical damage, making it ALWAYS to be IMPORTANT to have!

Then we will finish Sunfire Aegis one of the most powerful item for Shen, this item will give you HP, ARMOR and AOE Burn damage to destroy everyone easier, but also give you the ability to clear the waves much faster!

If we got an AP Type champion against us then, instead of Sunfire Aegis we will build Bami's Cinder into Hollow Radiance, this item will give us, HP, MR, Hp regen, a burn damage effect but also an explosion type effect that will help us clear waves easily but also damage the enemy champions!

Then we will finish our Boots into MOST OF THE TIMES Mercury's Treads cause we need the extra TENACITY effect, plus to balance out the ARMOR and MAGIC RESIST, we will only have Spirit Visage for magic resist and together with the boots it will be MORE THAN ENOUGH!
If you playing against FULL AD teams with ZERO CC, then go for Plated stealcaps especially against champion that using basic attacks as main source of damage, like for example Tryndamere Yasuo or Master Yi etc. this item will COUNTER THEM completely, cause it will reduce their pre-armor reduction damage by % (it’s pretty big, cause after that you will reduce it even further cause of your resistances)

**IMPORTANT NOTE** I am 100% sure that people will say "Why not to go for Tiamat to farm better" the reason is SIMPLE, we creating a build that will make you a total monster from early to full late game, Tiamat is a 58% gold efficiency item, that means its stats are worth 700 gold, while its cost is 1200, people think that they need this to farm and thats why all Shen getting DESTROYED and they are unable to do anything, you got 2 powerful tools to farm, except of course your Q and hits, these are Sunfire Aegis/ Hollow Radiance Thornmail all of these items will give you MORE THAN ENOUGH damage and ways to clear an entire wave within seconds, especially Sunfire Aegis that doing DMG PER SECOND around you!
With this build we are not wasting gold or time by making us WEAKER we only getting stronger and stronger with each minute, to get Tiamat on Shen just to clear the wave faster early while the champion NOT EVEN scales with AD its just the fastest way to go 0-10 (against our builds this is the score that you will have 100% of the times) while you could be 10-0 with our style

After Sunfire Aegis and while having the Bramble Vest as it is, we will start bulidng our next item Kaenic Rookern
This item will be super useful, if we got lots of magic damage against us and fully counter it, while also increasing our damage and sustain through Shield Bash

If there is not that much magic damage in the enemy team, then complete Bramble Vest and increase your HP, Armor and gain repel damage from their basic attacks!

After finishing our 2 Core items, Sunfire Aegis or Hollow Radiance and Kaenic Rookern or Thornmail we will start bulding our 3rd core item!

As next item we will fully use the power of Riftmaker, this item will increase your AP, HP, Ability haste, bonus AP from your HP and Bonus Damage plus OMNIVAMP. A super powerful combo that will let you as Shen to fight for as long as you WANNA, while also increasing your damage and R's Shield by a HUGE MARGIN, making you an absolute MONSTER!

Our 4th item will ALWAYS BE Spirit Visage this item might be one of the most important to have items for our build, the reason is cause of the combination of Revitalize that we talked about you will have an insanely amount of bonus healing, that will help you sustain and easily right now destroy any kind of enemy, be it FULL AD or FULL AP and even have the power to 1v3 easily! The stats that Spirit Visage gives are the most gold efficiency stats that you can buy in the game, not only you will have HP-MR-Ability Haste-REGAIN but you will also have 25% BONUS HEALS and SHIELDS that together with Revitalize this number will go up to 40%, to understand how powerful this is, everything from your Runes will get stronger, the amount of shields that you will have will be literally game breaking and the sustain will increase even further, the more you fight!!


Now you got the following options as Last items

1. Warmog's Armor the MOST gold efficiency item in the game, its passive alone is 1000% of its cost as a stat and this item of course is Warmog's Armor not only you will have HP, HP Regain, movement speed bonus but you will also have an insanely out of combat HP REGAIN, imagine that you will have the power to go in, fight literally for AS LONG AS YOU WANT and then, if you are TOO LOW, to flash or E away, wait for 10seconds and then go in again with FULL HP

To realize why to go for Warmog's Armor is important, not only you will be able to stay full hp all game long after getting this item, but you will also have INCREASED Damage with Grasp of the Undying and of course more HEALING at the same time
Is it only that? Of course not, you will also have BIGGER SHIELDS with your passive that scales insanely good with the HP that you got and that means more damage with Shield Bash that it will also scale with the %Shield and %HP!
As you can understand all the build-runes-skills of our Immortal Shen working together in order to make you the STRONGEST monster of all, from super early till late game nothing will be able to win against you no matter WHICH CHAMPION they will pick!!

2. Thornmail if you decided to not build it early, then you can also finish the Bramble Vest into its complete form, to gain HP, Armor and the repel damage, this item will be very powerful against champions that mostly using basic attacks for damage type!

3. Jak'Sho, The Protean a Very powerful item, that will be useful if you got mix type of damage against you, gain HP, Armor, Mr but also a huge % of armor and magic resist the more you fight, by having also Riftmaker for healing, you will be able to fight for as long as you wanna, while taking also no damage back!

4. Force of Nature a very powerful anti-Magic damage item, not only it will give you HP, MR, mobility (bonus Ms) but also an extra MR and MS stats that will make you almost immortal against magic damage

5. Redemption a support related item that is not meant only for supports, you will use the HP, Ability haste and BONUS HEALS/SHIELDS effects plus a huge AOE Heal for you and your allies but also a 10% MAX HP TRUE DAMAGE effect for the enemy team. Super low cost, very powerful active effect with decent stats, making it for sure a last item option but also must to have if you are playing as "support"!

6. Abyssal Mask another powerful item, super cheap, that will increase your HP, MR and also give you an extra MAGIC RESIST REDUCTION effect around you, plus increasing your own magic resist even further while you are fighting against the enemy champions

7. Titanic Hydra lots of people keep asking about this, so lets add it as last item choice, Shen is a champion that will use lots of basic attacks so this item will be somehow useful but not ideal. The stats are AD, HP, Bonus AD that scales with your HP and on-hit damage but with A HUGE ITEM COST and weak close to useless item parts with very low gold efficiency, even Redemption will be far more useful with better sustain and even damage than this. But we got the Tiamat lovers that need it! Personally I will always choose any other choice than this, the final choice is up to you and what is working for you. To fully use the Titanic Hydra and to not effect the overal performance of our Immortal build itself always buy it after finishing your 3rd CORE item that we talked about above, so as 4th, 5th or full late game 6th item while selling the boots!


And now Balorian you can fully understand why this combination of items-runes and skills is BY FAR the most powerful one that you can even play with!

Lets talk about the strategy here. To play with Shen inst only use his PURE Strength as your weapon, like any other WARS, at league you need to use your HEAD as well to win the game.
So lets talk about what you need to focus.


Creeps(FOCUS on FARM): The most important thing is to focus on your farm, you need to farm fast and if you can kill all the creeps without missing even one. This way you will take the lead from your enemy champion, dont be afraid to use your skills for last hits even at the 1 level.

Stay Alive: To not to die at lane and not have any kills is more worth than to be 3-3 or 4-4 with your enemy Lane champion.
Your build focusing to be the strongest at the MID-Late game, doesn't matter if you cant kill now, focus on farm and you will be able to show your true Strength at the right time of the game.

Even if you wont kill your enemy, they will start losing focus from this strategy.
They wont be able to go close to cs, and lose EXP-FARM so after doing this a couple of times the game is yours.

Always engage with your Shadow Dash while having your Ki Barrier to reduce the damage that you will receive from the enemy, just by doing that, you will easily overpower them all!

So remember the most important thing in this game is FARMING and to STAY ALIVE to overpower and kill them all will come as long as you focusing on these two things! Our Immortal Shen build will always be the strongest in full early to full late game, no matter how bad you play early, clear all the waves, get your gold that you need, use your Ultimate to help MID or BOT to get some assists/kills, play with focus and you will always end up VICTORIOUS!
