Welcome to my Shen build! Normally you build him a high health ap/ad off tank, but for this build, we're going full out ridiculous tank. By sacrificing health and ap/ad you do less damage, but with these items plus his shields, his tankiness is significantly increased, which helps amazingly for taunting and/or team fighting. My friend Alexa has helped me with this build (not really mostly just talked about something her friend sent her >.>) but whatever, it's ok cuz she has boss swag. Anydoozles, I hope you enjoy the build, because I tried really hard and I'll kill myself if you hate it.

For the runes, since the build doesn't involve much health and such, I mainly chose the health and health regen runes for sustain in lane and to boost your passive a bit. That way, you can afford to build the tankier items with not as much health.

The masteries give a bit of movement speed and health for sustain and mobility, yet also giving great deals of defense against champions and turrets, so you can taunt and turret dive more.

The items are really tanky instead of including health like most shen builds. This allows for effective turret dives using shields plus barrier if you have to and tanking tons of damage! Also, you'll be like Rammus with your taunt due to thornmail and tankability! Very swagalicious!

Maxing shield first allows for effective taunt tanks as well as it stacks with barrier, for a massive near full health shield. Then you max taunt second for effective baits and traps. The tanky items should make you very hard to hurt, while your masteries and runes somewhat make up for lack of health. Usually, in teamfights, Q the person who will be focused, so your allies know who to focus, and would be rewarded for it with heals. Then, proceed to taunt and shield, and stack shield with barrier if needed. This is an extremely effective method for focusing down squishies, if you wish to ignore tanks.

Take Barrier and Teleport. Teleport will help you get around the map or back to Top if your ult is down, and barrier stacks with your w for huge shielding if needed. These will pretty much enhance your skill set as well as make you a mean machine on the Fields of Justice! And Alexa hates me and deleted me on skype and now I hate everything T.T

In all, building this way is the best way for focusing carries and squishies for your team, rather than the normal tanky damage dealing Shen. It's a bit different and a risk, but very fun and rewarding if done correctly. Credits: Kurt - Everything Alexa - NOTHING
