Rune Choices - Sorcery and Resolve
The Sorcery tree is best main tree for Sona as it provides AP, cooldown reduction, Mana and a bit uf utility.
The Resolve tree will give some little resistances to Sona in lane.
Bone Plating will absorb a little poke damage but will not protect you if you get all-inned because Sona is very squishy and can be bursted down very fast.
Revitalize will amplify the healing and shielding , very useful for healing from Aria of Perseverance and its shielding as well as for the shielding from Summon Aery
Summon Aery will provide some extra damage in lane when poking with Hymn of Valor or basic attacks while it could potientilly save an ally's life with its shield. It scales off ability power, so it will still be use- and impactful in later stages of the game. |
Manaflow Band will increase your maximum mana by 250 after hitting enemies with spells ten times. It will help with Sona's mana problems a bit after it is fully stacked. It will also synergize greatly with Seraph's Embrace. Also it will refill a part of your missing mana every few seconds. This effect will also be useful in teamfights because your mana will last much longer. |
Transcendence will give you 10% cooldown reduction upon reaching level 10. It will also grant you 2 AP per 1% excess of CDR (more than 40% CDR). The spoiler below explains the connection between the rune and the former item choices. |
Gathering Storm starts weak early but will provide some AP over the course of the game. It will stack up every 10 minutes and will also provide AP for the passive of Rabadon's Deathcap |
