Introduction

Zilean The Chronokeeper is a AP support/AP carry who excels in controlling team fights. Although he falls off late game his support is pretty good.

Runes

For runes I use Magic Penetration Marks, Health per level seals, MP5 per level glyphs, and Magic Penetration Quints.

Items

The items in this build are very conditional, it depends on the team you're facing and the team you're supporting. Gauge your teams need for your help. Guardian's Angel is a very good item for Zilean because you can save your ulti for a carry rather than on yourself. The same goes for Zhonya's Hourglass, you use it to peel attackers off of you for a few seconds. Remember to buy wards in between buying your items to keep Baron and Dragon warded at all times. Counter warding is also effective with Zilean.
