you should play what ever give you most fun and satisfaction, I recommend if you want to improve to stuck to little pool of champions so you will be able to focus more on the macro game (raoming and objectives) and farming. in addition you should watch high elo streamers that explain what they do in the game so you can learn from it, i recommend on Tillterella and SoloRenektonOnly
if you want something else feel free to ask :-)
The other way is to get good at everything besides mechanics, and play an easy champ to focus on learning to build, play the map, splitpush, and call objectives, If you’re going this route, you’ll want to watch some pro games (I usually just watch worlds). This will help you get into highter elos once you settle down on a lane to play.
So, you can get out of elo hell with Graves, but you’ll hit a point where you’ll have to learn to play more than mechanics. However, most of you’re opponents won’t know what to expect from a Graves, and you’ll be able to steamroll a lot of people with some invades and ambushes.
