[12.12] Cynical Soraka Guide WIP

CynicalSora
Hey, I am Sora. I first started playing League of Legends in 2015 where I almost exclusively played Aatrox and Master Yi, Top/Jgl. While I am not a high ranked player or the most experienced Soraka player; I spend a lot of time thinking about how her kit can be used more effectively and experiment with her regularly.

I first started playing Soraka in casual 1v1's on my NA account where i was consistently winning (from first blood) against higher ranked players on their mains. I then played Soraka Top exclusively on my main account where I got M7 at 30K MP. All this to say I am very well aware of how strong Soraka is and what her limits are. Additionally (in context of MP) I am currently ranked #1007 on EUW with 553,000MP.
Abilities
Q - Starcall. AOE that damages and slow. Grants her Rejuvenation. Soraka calls down a ground targeted star that deals magic damage to, and slows any target hit. It grants vision within its AOE and can be used to chain into AA in bushes. If an enemy champion is hit it grants Rejuvination to herself healing her over time and increasing her MS. If Astral Infusion is used while Soraka has Rejuvenation the ally healed will also gain Rejuvenation healing them over time and increasing their MS.

W - Astral Infusion. Single targeted ally heal. Soraka heals the target allied champion (excluding herself). This costs 10% maximum health aswell as mana. However the cost is reduced if Soraka has Rejuvenation from Starcall. At level 1 the reduction is 80% which reduces the 10% maximum health cost to a 2% maximum health cost.

E - Equinox. AOE that damages, silences and roots. Soraka creates a ground targeted celestial zone at the target location, dealing magic damage to enemy champions within the area at the time of cast. The zone then persists for 1.5 seconds, silencing all enemies within. This should be used in conjunction with ally abilities to more consistently root the target(s).

R - Wish. Auto targeted global ally heal. Soraka calls upon the stars, removing Grievous Wounds from herself and all allied champions before healing herself and them. The healing is increased by 50% on targets below 40% of their maximum health so should be held onto for team fights where you are healing multiple people below 40% maximum health. If you are going to die you should use this as it may save you and even if it doesnt it may grant enough health to the rest of your team to win.

P - Salvation. Movement Speed Soraka gains 70% bonus movement speed while moving towards nearby allied champions that are below 40% of their maximum health. This is the most undewhelming part of Soraka's kit but can atleast be used as an indicator to use Wish and assist in effective ganking.
Runes
Keystone. Summon Aery is the only keystone that really fits Soraka well. Arcane Comet is better if you have enough AP but you will rarely reach that on Soraka. Both give Soraka more damage, although Summon Aery helps keep your bot laner in lane as it blocks some damage with the shield.
Artifact. Manaflow Band is generally the best choice and should be taken whether sorcery is primary or secondary. It helps greatly in laning phase since Soraka has to burn mana to poke with Starcall to maintain her health for Astral Infusion. However Nullifying Orb is great into burst mages.
Excellence. Transcendence is amazing on Soraka. The CDR is necesary to cast Astral Infusion as much as possible and being able to reduce its CD by getting assists is strong. Its almost unfortunate because Celerity would otherwise synergise with the MS from Salvation and Starcall perfectly.
Power. Scorch is generally the go to but its not necesarily the best. If your team scales up and wont be ending early, just take Gathering Storm and wait for the late game. Equally if you expect a slow bot lane you are better off with Waterwalking and securing victory on objectives and solo lanes.

Keystone. Guardian works well as a more defensive keystone but it requires more teamwork in lane. Although there is a case to be made for Grasp of the Undying which I have seen consistent success with in previous seasons. You can easily get stacks while poking for gold with Spellthief's Edge.
Strength. Font of Life allows you to conserve your own health aslong as you are hitting the same enemy as your allies with Starcall due to having to cast Astral Infusion. Keep in mind Demolish is equally valid aslong as you are confident in winning your lane and getting plating.
Resistance.
Vitality.
Cores
The standard core that most People go for to get Warmog's Armor. Costing 8,200.
> > >

A cheeper build path uses Dark Seal to get Warmog's Armor considerably faster. Costing 6,250.
> > >

Bulwark of the Mountain gives enough health that you can skip Dark Seal. Costing 5,900.

Itemization
Mythic

Moonstone Renewer. Heals and increased heal/shield power. Moonstone Renewer is the best mythic for most healers. While Soraka is in combat it will heal the lowest health nearby enemy every two seconds and will increase heal and shield power (max 25%) every second. It can be built in any game since Soraka's healing is potent even in games with a lot of Grievous Wounds.
