Camille
Very hard to handle, she can easily dash on you, her shield allow her to deny most of the poke, and her ult makes your unable to use yours. Play as safe as you can.
Viego
You can help him getting resets or just his passive shapeshift, which makes it perfect to go with Eve.

Champion Build Guide
I'm Alachiel, a high gold main Eve. At first, i fell in love with Evelynn as a jungler, but the more i'm playing her, the more i feel like she is better as toplaner.
I wanted to do a guide because i've theory crafted a lot about her builds, from the classic "one shot" build to the Manamune build :)
I hope you will enjoy this guide, and don't hesitate to like or comment if you have any suggestion !
Low win rate or not, she is extremely fun to play, she feels like you really are playing a different game like Hitman, but clearly not League of Legends.
Her kit is satisfying, you can usually carry games alone with her.
Pros
- Very versatile champ
- Fantastic in early game as toplaner
- Fun and satisfying to play
- Easy to learn kit
- Many different ways to build her
- Never gets banned because people think she is bad
- Nice curves
Cons
- Hard to play well (most of Eve players will just kill one guy and die or ult)
- Very bad if you are behind, and if your team is too
- Hard to handle tanks comps, need to do specific builds (bruiser or tank builds)
- Very reliant on Mejai
Burst Evelynn
This build is quite intuitive to use: kill low HP targets, stay in enemy team's back, and wait for someone to engage (except if you can kill somebody without dying, of course).
You will simply build damage items, and rely on mejai stacks, so try to keep it above 10 for the extra movement speed.
Use this build if :
- Enemy team has at least 4 champs with low HP pools
- Enemy team has no "hard-to-escape bruiser", like Volibear or Xin Zhao
- You are a beginner on Evelynn, best build to learn the champ
Speed Evelynn
This one can sound like an off meta build, but it's actually even better than the burst one, IMHO.
You will still build damages items, but a bit less DPS output (like 20% less).
Instead, you will focus on getting movement speed. You will use Celerity and Water walking in your second mastery page. You can even play Predator if you are jungler (don't do that on top). You will build Cosmic drive and Lich bane as soon as you can.
This build will give you like 500 move speed inside the river, and easily 450 outside.
Your E is also giving you speed, so you will run even faster. You can build Chemtank or Sunfire for extra move speed as last item, if you don't need damage.
Mejai will also help, thanks to his bonus movement speed when above 10 stacks.
Use this build if :
- Enemy has some front lane (don't do this build with 5 DPS in enemy team)
- Enemy has some easy-to-kill targets (Senna...)
- Some enemy champs can get kited quite easily (mostly melee bruisers)
- Some enemy champs rely on important spells that you could dodge (Xerath, Lux, Mordekaiser...)
Bruiser Evelynn
Ok, things are starting to get serious. Evelynn has really low CD, which means she can stay in fights for a while. So, this build make use of this specific point by making you tankier and staying longer in fights.
First, you will do a Rift Maker, to get some sustainability during fights. Afterwards, you will have 2 choices: either going a bit tanky, by building Demonic Embrace, Rylai, Fimbulwinter, or either going reaaaally tanky, building Demonic, Chemtank/Sunfire, Dead Man Plate or Force of Nature.
This build is all about balancing, and you will need to do probably 10 or more games to figure out what to buy.
If you feel like you need damages, go for an AP-bruiser item.
If you feel like you are getting killed too fast, build some tank items.
Be careful: if you build too many tank items, you will be useless. You will never have enough damage, so if you are hesitant, build damage items.
Check out the example builds above if you need some help.
Use this build if :
- Enemy team has a strong front lane
- There are not many champs you could one shot, maybe one or two but not more
- They have at least 3 melee champs
Tank - Manamune Evelynn
Finally, the real off-meta build. Manamune is giving you many damages each time a spell deals damage. But since Evelynn Q's are hitting 4 times, it has an insane value on her. Plus, since you always want to start tear, that makes it even better.
Once you got this item, you need to build a mana/AP item, being Luden or Liandrys.
Both are good, i'd recommand Liandry if you wish to go really tanky, and luden if there are some things you can still kill easily even by building bruiser.
Afterwards, you need to build a Frozen Heart. Don't do this build if a Frozen Heart has no value against their comp, since this is one of your core items. So avoid this build if they have a mostly-AP comp.
Once you got your Manamune/Mythic/Frozen Heart, you have many choices, like the bruiser build. You need to balance AP and survivability: you need to be tanky enough to survive fights, but you also need to have enough damage to not be that cute girl launching spikes that deals 50 dmg per wave.
This build is really fun to play, especially if they are full AD. Of course, we want to use Conqueror, since we will stay in fight for long.
Use this build if :
- You are a real gamer
- They have a heavy tank comp
- Fights will probably last for a long time
Passive - Demon Shade
When out of combat, Evelynn enters Demon Shade. Demon Shade heals Evelynn when she is low on health and grants Camouflage after level 6.
Tips
- Very useful in lane (which makes her wonderful at toplane)
- Makes you unable to die, except against high burst tops (which aren't here quite often)
- Allow you to take greedy trades, because if you survive you will heal back
- After 6, can roam mid/bot if you're behind or if your lane is pushed
Q - Hate Spike
Evelynn strikes out with her Lasher, dealing damage to the first unit hit. Then, Evelynn can shoot a line of spikes at nearby foes up to 3 times.
Tips
- Main DPS output in early, huge amount of poke so make sure to use it a lot
- Tear of the Goddess allow you to spam it, even to farm
- Gives 8 stacks of conqueror, and can also proc electrocute by itself !
- If you wish to kill your laner, wait the last seconds of your Q to send your waves, in order to surprise your opponent, because you will get another Q back right after.
W - Allure
Evelynn curses her target, causing her next attack or spell after a delay to charm her target and reduce their magic resist.
Tips
- Really useful in early/mid-game for cc and magic resist reduce
- Be careful: Don't use it in late game if you can already kill your target, because that will make enemy team ready to protect the targeted one
- Proc it before the charm ends for an extra slow: can be useful if you are going to get killed soon, and you won't have time to finish the charm cast. You can also use it when ganking, if the enemy is going to get out of range before the charm gets ready.
E - Whiplash
Evelynn whips her target with her Lasher, dealing damage. She then gains Move Speed for a short duration.
Tips
- Huge amount of damages based on max HP
- Bonus damages when exiting invisibility, so make sure to engage with it (if you can)
- Will also be an AOE if used in passive, so always target the furthest champ (or minion) to maximize damage output and wave clear.
- Always use the movement speed it gives you, it's actually very high. It's more often better to run around someone than just right clicking him.
R - Last Caress
Evelynn briefly goes untargetable and decimates the area in front of her before warping backwards a long distance.
Tips
- Use it when enemies are below threshold, except for tanks. This will become quite easy to see once you'll take a hand with her.
- Try to R behind walls if you are in trouble, since it doesn't make you dash really far if enemies are following you.
- Don't hesitate using it to go back, better lose your ult than 10 mejai stacks !
Level 1
At level 1, you should hard pressure your opponent. Use your Q on cooldown, make sure you hit him the first spike, else the waves will do less damages.
If you are using Eletro-cute (:3), don't rush on him, better hard poke and abuse your range.
If you are going Conqueror, you can literally run on the enemy champ. If he doesn't know that Evelynn is god-like at level 1, he will trade back, and he will usually lose. Don't do this against Darius, Urgot or that kind of strong level 1 champ, but otherwise you can go for the kill. Your conqueror will get 12 stacks in 1 Q + 2 autos, and then the trade is yours.
Since you are building tear, you don't have to worry about your mana until level 4/5, when you will probably back/tp.
Level 2-5
After level 1, you are still pretty good. Now, you will need to know the matchups.
If you are against a champ that can't handle your poke, just keep using your Q on him to out-farm him as much as you can.
If it's a very aggressive champ, like Sett or Volibear, just stay under your tower. Evelynn farms very well with her Q paired with auto-attacks.
Level 6+
After level 6, the fun begins. You can now be invisible, so your opponent will have issues knowing where you are.
You can stay on lane invisible, he will ping that you are missing and push, but you will be still here, waiting for him to push and catch the wave before it goes under tower.
The other way around, if you roam, he won't be sure that you are not there, so he will maybe ss too late.
So after 6, your goal is to push as much as you can, and roam mid. If your midlaner is already pushing, you can go back to base, roam bot, and TP top after your move.
Farm on Evelynn isn't mandatory, since levelling her spells will be less important than getting mejai stacks and golds. So if you need to lose a wave to get a kill, just do it :)
