How 2 nunu as ap
Summoner Spells
SMITE
Considering you are playing jungle, Smite will be a necessary summoner spell to take. Even if you didn't want to the client will now force you, this is the first spell for Nunu & Willump. I personally prefer Chilling Smite but you can play around with Challenging Smite if it fits your playstyle.
FLASH
Flash will be your second summoner spell as it is the best option for escaping or engaging. You could attempt to run Ignite but I haven't tried, your team may flame if they see a Nunu & Willump cosplaying Graves.
A run down on abilities
PASSIVE
ABILITY
CALL OF THE FRELJORD (Passive): Gives 20% bonus attack speed and 10% bonus movement speed to Nunu and the nearest ally. It also causes Nunu & Willump basic attacks to splsh for 30% AD in a cone in front of him.
Q
CONSUME (Q): Willump takes a bite out of a target enemy causing damage and healing himself. Healing is increased by 50% when below 50% maximum health (this can really throw off enemies as his base healing has +72% AP scaling from champions).
W
BIGGEST SNOWBALL EVER! (W): Willump breaks free of active slows and begins rolling in the direction of the cursor for 10 seconds. You will be slowed by 50% for the first second but then become immune to slows (this is very useful when running away). On collision the snowball explodes and knocks up the enemy for 0.5-0.75 seconds, this ability has +30% AP damage and is where a lot of your damage will come from.
E
SNOWBALL BARRAGE (E): Nunu throws 3 snowballs and enemies hit are slowed for 1 second, after 3 seconds enemies hit by the barrage will be rooted for 0.5-1.5 seconds. This ability has +80% AP damage, and can also catch enemies off guard once you have items.
R
ABSOLUTE ZERO (R): Nunu and Willump charge up and cause enemies to be slowed by 0%-95% and giving Nunu a shield based on 50% bonus HP and +150% AP, once channeling is done or cancelled the enemies take 0%-100% magic damage with +250% AP!! This is HUGE as the base damage for a max level R is 1275, get ready to NUKE enemies.
General Tips
- Try to take the kills, ignore your team if they spam ping. YOU are the carry.
- Prioritize ganking, but only if they are available as you are very squishy and if you get put behind you will feel useless.
- Don't underestimate your damage, once you have Sorc boots and mythic you can 1 combo essentially any squishy champ.
- Level 6 you will be able to 1 shot anyone if you get a full ult charge off... you will surprise yourself with the damage.
- You will be extremely squishy, but late game you will go from 5% health to 100% from one Q, and your R shield is disgusting and can keep you alive in team fights to catch your enemies off guard.
- Have fun with this build, and please try it in a normal game first. Don't get upset if you go 1/10 in a ranked game and blame it on me....
As AP nunu and willump you will need to understand how squishy this champ will be early.I recommend to do a level 2 gank with snowball on adc if possible, but after that it is better to farm. Taking bad trades on nunu while fighting for scuttle is OK because as long as you win you will get more exp than your opponent. However this is not worth dying over unless you got your teammate to refrag you. the scuttle will be 1 shot on its first death because your e or w will clear out its shield letting your q and smite 1 shot it. After winning first scuttle if you are high enough to walk to next scuttle through mid go for it. But if you are too low suxh as 200 HP or lower thanks to your scuttle fight go do krugs/gromp. BTW you want to do a camp clear so you confirm that scuttle win. After that everything ill be easy. Try to get six ASAP then go ahead go those easy ganks with giant snowball. Aim for bot because they are usually squishy camps easy for those 1 shots. GLHF!
