Very annoying but you outrange her and have many ways of outplaying her. Just run cleanse and keep your distance. If you get too close you're dead because she will just slow you to death and you have zero mobility.
Caitlyn
You and Caitlyn have the same range at the start of the game because of Calibrum but her range threat is ever present while yours is with 50 out of 250 bullets. She isn't that hard to face though. Just never run at her in a straight line for her EQW combo which should be easy with Stormrazor rush.
Draven
The threat level comes from the fact that if you do decide to engage him. You will probably die. Just farm up until you have items and see opportunity. One thing I learned about Draven players is that if you sit back and do nothing, eventually they will grow tired and just run at you and probably die because they just wanna get their stacks cashed. If your support is inting and is trying to engage when you tell them not to, the best is to ask for a gank and pray. Just keep farming, you outscale.
Ezreal
Now this is an Avengers level threat. Ezreal is currently the best ADC right now as of patch 13.23 and will probably continue to be so. His mobility and damage are very strong once he gets just a couple components under his belt. The problem isn't him killing you, it's you killing him because If you dodge everything and manage to win a duel he will just flash away with his e, and if you chase he then has his actual flash at the ready! You outrange him until he gets enough CDR to never have to auto attack, then it's about even unless he misplays. He also becomes very healthy once he finishes his Triforce. If his E is down, you actually have a chance to kill him so take it.
Jhin
Very simple. Watch for his 4th shot and try to burst him. You outrange his auto's but be careful to finish the job because if you go even with this champion he will just run away and R you.
Jinx
Jinx is a strong hypercarry. She will always have more attack speed than you early but her range is very short until she hit's level 9. Make sure you're spacing well versus this champion because once she hits level 9 her Fishbones rockets will have 720.
Kai'Sa
You outrange this champion by a ton. She should be of no threat to you unless you've been CC'd. However be careful, because if she does get on top of you, she will do a lot of damage very quickly.
Kalista
Nobody plays this champ and only 70% of the time will the player actually know how to pilot this champ, but this champion is like going against Draven but except he can fly. Do not underestimate this champion. She will kill you early. You will super outscale and out range her late.
Kog'Maw
Bait out his W and engage. This champion literally does zero damage without W and is super squishy and immobile. W is base 17 sec cooldown.
Lucian
This champion is strong in the early game but you outscale a ton. Just farm up and poke him while avoiding his poke. Eventually you can kill him before you're bursted down.
Miss Fortune
I really don't like the Miss Fortune matchup. Mainly because she does a lot of poke damage (If poke is considered taking a shot to your skull) with her Q bounce off of minions and if you're against an engage support such as Blitzcrank, you have no choice but to stand behind the wave. Also since she is a lethality ADC she gets her items faster since they're cheaper and she chunks you at all point's of the game once she gets Youmuu's. The only reason she is considered an even threat is because you have range advantage over her. If you space well and play with your jungle and support you should be fine.
Nilah
This champion is strong but she doesn't see much play and she's melee. You can harass her so much in the early game with Calibrum and if she does not respect your level 2 you can just kill her.
Samira
Samira will play safe until you give her an opportunity to all in you so never fall for it and get baited. I think this champion is a skill matchup favored towards her. Her windwall is the only thing that makes her really strong versus you because your ultimate will immediately be negated by her W. Doesn't help that you do a big song and dance when you cast your ult so it's not hard to miss. You're forced to hold your ultimate until she uses her W. She has to eventually use it unless she's really fed.
Seraphine
Seraphine APC isn't played too much anymore but her wave clear and poke is just really annoying, especially when paired with a mage support. Does have only 4 HP and 6 Armor so very easy to burst.
Twitch
I just simply do not like this champion but he's not all that hard to face early. The problem comes from his scaling. Once he get's BotRK you need to keep track of him at all times. If you get careless he will just kill you off cooldown. Late game with his R he will just 3 shot you and your team from across the map so you need to shut him down early and try to end the game quickly.
Varus
Now if I had a dollar for every time I said I won lane versus a varus I would have like 10 dollars but considering how many games I've played that's not many. You're honestly hoping to go even with him which you can do by just farming it out and dodging his skills. If you have an engage support that can get on him, he's very easy to kill but if he spaces well and hits his skillshots, he is very oppressive. Especially when paired with a poke support.
Vayne
You beat this champion mega hard early. Be very careful to not put your back to a wall. Instant death. Once she hits 6 she will probably out duel you because of her stealth and your reliance on auto attacks. With a stacked Crescendum you can still fight her.
Xayah
This champion is really strong because of her W. It's a steroid that gives extra damage, movement speed and attack speed. You need to keep your distance and watch for her feathers. She will also be looking to R your R.
Zeri
Not many players can pilot this champion well and you outrange her by a ton. She has a lot of burst in her kit with her R and W so do not underestimate her and watch for her E across walls.
Alistar
You can not auto attack this champion, because if you can auto attack this champion, that means he's in range to full combo you. Doesn't help that any poke you deal to him or his ADC will be eventually healed because he has Soraka as a passive. If you get really ahead he's completely useless though.
Braum
Can block your R and destroy your mirror chakram.

Aphelios requires at the very least a second body in the lane with him. The glorified handbag is fine if you're smurfing though.

I love interaction with Calibrum and Nami E.
Zyra
Only strong because she herself is strong. She provides little peel to you.
Ashe
Ashe support is not strong anymore and provides no help to Aphelios. You will struggle in a lane with Ashe.
Miss Fortune
I don't know why people think this champion is a support.

Hello! I am Hill, a 1 million point Emerald 1 Aphelios Main. I started League in 2020 as an Akali main but I found Aphelios and thought his kit was so interesting, ever since then I have been steadily (or roughly) climbing every year. I have a knack for champions with tons of skill expression in their kit so that's why I fell in love with Aphelios. I then became addicted to the champion and learning him. This guide is a WORK IN PROGRESS!!
