TEAM
RUNES
Conqueror is the best choice for fighting especially early since he really only gets damage from his items
Fleet Footwork gives nice movement speed but you will really feel the lack of damage
Press the Attack is great for single target burst if you have someone like Blitzcrank against enchanter support

ITEMS
Aphelios gets huge spikes after every item completion so it is important not to **** up buying the right things
Kraken Slayer is my personal preference as first item every game
his dps is really too low as an adc to be building Stormrazor first
if you are confident that your team will carry Galeforce is a good option
otherwise you need Infinity Edge or you will feel weak permanently
Lord Dominik's Regards is almost required every game because Aphelios has built-in flat armor pen from his passive and will pop everyone with additional percent armor pen
Bloodthirster is not necessary but very handy if one does not bring Legend: Bloodline as he scales very well with overheal

THE GOOD SHIT
Aphelios has no e ability, unlocks q at level 2, and Moonlight Vigil at level 6
he has five (5) guns, of which he can use two at a time
whenever running out of ammo (50 for each gun) he switches to the next gun in the order, which starts the same every game
he always begins with Calibrum, the Sniper Rifle and Severum, the Scythe Pistol, followed by Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon, then Infernum, the Flamethrower, and lastly Crescendum, the Chakram
while personal preference is involved, the order in which Aphelios should manage his guns is generally a solved problem
Severum, the Scythe Pistol is always first to go, followed by Calibrum, the Sniper Rifle and then either Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon or Infernum, the Flamethrower, depending on whether you want to have a long range root or long range AoE capabilities
after cycling once the gun order should be
Calibrum, the Sniper Rifle -> Infernum, the Flamethrower -> Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon -> Severum, the Scythe Pistol -> Crescendum, the Chakram
and should stay that way for the rest of the game
Calibrum, the Sniper Rifle q shoots a long range skillshot that marks an enemy to be attack with the offhand weapon from far away
Severum, the Scythe Pistol q attacks the nearest target (prioritizing champions) many times, switching between his main and offhand weapon
Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon q roots all enemies recently attacked with the weapon
Infernum, the Flamethrower q shoots a damaging cone in front of you and then attacks each enemy hit with the offhand weapon
Crescendum, the Chakram q places a turret that shoots with the effect of the offhand weapon
each q ability use costs mana as well as 10 ammo of whichever ability was used
by maintaining 10 or fewer ammo on a gun and then using its ability, a skilled Aphelios can abuse the fact that each q ability has a separate cooldown
for example, the most common "3-gun combo" is having <=10 ammo on Severum, the Scythe Pistol, using q to mark an enemy, proccing the mark with your newly-acquired Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon offhand, using q to root that enemy, and following up on yourself with Calibrum, the Sniper Rifle q
this can be further extended if one has <=10 ammo on Calibrum, the Sniper Rifle as well, allowing one to walk up to auto and then Infernum, the Flamethrower q after the Calibrum, the Sniper Rifle q (this would be a "4-gun combo")
the same can be done with 10 or fewer ammo on both Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon and Infernum, the Flamethrower
starting with Infernum, the Flamethrower auto + q, follow with placing Crescendum, the Chakram q and then Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon auto + q for a root into Severum, the Scythe Pistol q for some mirror chakrams so that you can continue to melee enemy adc for some high dps

WHEN TO FIGHT
as you play more and more Aphelios you will realize Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon is by far the worst weapon
at any point post 30 minutes you really want to avoid a teamfight until you can get rid of it by using q on minions or camps
you will also realize that Infernum, the Flamethrower is overpowered as hell, notably because there is no attack speed penalty but a 110% ad scaling on its basic attacks and abilities
if you opt into a late game teamfight with Severum, the Scythe Pistol and Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon you are asking to lose
DON'T DO THAT AND INSTEAD TELL YOUR TEAM YOU CAN'T FIGHT YET
