Hey there,

You made an application in the guide review thread, so here it is!
Two notes before I start:
  • I am definitely not an off-meta expert
  • There is a danger in applying to multiple review shops/thingies at once as you’ll get multiple reviews telling you the same thing.

Click for review

I think the point of improvement of the guide is justifying the build. I think the post I linked at the start of the review can help a lot with that!

Looking at it, this review seems to be on the harsh side. In fact, I think it is. Please do not take it personal, but as something that can make your guide grow to become something beautiful!

One last remark I left for the end, to avoid spoiling the atmosphere at the start of the review:
  • It is kind of dirty to say that the guide has an in-depth tag when it doesn’t. I assume this is an oversight on your part, not a deliberate act. Make sure to read the requirements when you apply for reviews!

This concludes the review. I hope you can do something with the feedback, feel free to reply if you have any questions/remarks.

Anyways, good luck with updating & upgrading your guide and have a nice day!

Thank you so much for your review! I'm currently working on everything bluelunged mentioned and I will surely work on the things you've mentioned as well. I read the article you linked and I can tell there's definitely a lot of things I need to justify. Also I'm very sorry for saying that this guide was in depth when it didn't meet the criteria. I didn't fully read the criteria and I thought I had an in depth guide, but I clearly don't. Thank you once again.

I like the concept of the guide, and it clearly has effort behind it. The content is also very nice explained, and you clearly know the champion and how to use him.
That aside, this is by no means a complete guide, I feel like it is still missing a lot of pieces to become a full guide, and I will try to explain them:
First Section
  • Runes, items and champion abilities have the same problem, you use too much text in the notes. The objetive of this first section is to provide a summary of the build, the notes should be short and concise. Everything you need to explain or to go in-depth, you do it later on the long sections you create.
  • The 2 runepages you recommend are almost identical, it would be better to put only one, and then in the explained runes section add the variations you mention with Manaflow Band and Absolute Focus.
  • I like the start, early items and boots sections. The rest could be improved, maybe you could add offensive items, defensive, situational, etc. Final build should be an example of your final build, that means 6 items, not all the posibilities.
  • Threats and synergies section is super well done, you should add more matchups, there is never enough of them. Maybe explain some counterplay to some of them like Pyke or Swain.
Other sections
  • The elephant in the room, CODING. I know, it seems hard, we've all been there, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it's a lot easier than it seems. There are also a lot of guides on the site on how to code your guide, check them out! And don't be afraid to ask me any question you have about it. The better your guide looks, the easier it is for people to like it and read it, nobody likes walls of text.
  • The guide should have a logycal order, imagine you have no clue whatsoever on how does the champion work, how would you like the guide then?. The usual is introduction > Pros/cons/why play > champion explanation > runes/spells/items > how to play > extras.
  • You could split your "how to play" section into more like "laning phase", "mid game", "champion tips and tricks", "farming your passive", "warding" etc.
  • Add some images :D
  • I think you should give a more in-depth explanation on when to take Ignite and when to take Exhaust
  • There's no point in reading the items section if everything here is already in the notes at the start of the guide. As I said before, try to summarize the idea first, and then explain it down here.
  • Coding! You can cite items like Zhonya's Hourglass or Void Staff. Even that makes it more eye-friendly. Colors too
  • Same in runes
Content
  • Overall, Veigar is pretty straightforward, and you clearly know what you're talking about.
  • My only doubt is in the runes section, you could explain why you don't take Arcane Comet, and how do you capitalize on Dark Harvest. Same with items.
Others
  • Spelling! There are some mistakes here and there, like "they're" instead of "their". Always proof-read what you write. I usually write the code in word and then copy-paste it here.
  • Some grammar issues to, but no big deal.

Looking back, I may have been a little harsh on my review, but as I said, this guide is far from complete. That doesn't mean it is a bad guide, I'm pretty sure that if you make the effort to improve even a couple of the points I addressed, your guide will be top tier!
I'm looking forward to it <3
