How to Play
How to Play:
Lane Phase:
During the laning phase, you are relatively weak until you get your Q evolution. Only engage in small trades with the enemy if they walk up and First Strike is available. Your main objective in lane is to quickly obtain Manamune and Luden's Echo + 20 AP to evolve W. The most reliable way to achieve this is by securing every CS. If you are facing someone who can all-in you (e.g., Aatrox, Mordekaiser), you can either freeze the minions near your tower or prevent the enemy from freezing the minions at their tower to deny them CS.
Mid Game:
Once you have evolved your W, you should leave your lane and roam around mid, dragon, and bot lanes. Your goal is to hit enemies with W from outside their range whenever possible. The ideal targets are the jungler (if squishy), ADC, and support in that order. If you are not behind at this stage of the game, your W should deal approximately 1/3 of the enemy's health bar. An ideal play involves hitting two Ws in quick succession to apply your passive, followed by using your ultimate to engage with another W and finishing off the enemy with Q.
Late Mid Game:
By this stage, you should have 3 to 4 items, and your W will be able to deal significant damage, potentially 2-shotting squishy targets without magic resist. Your objective now is to either find picks or poke enemies down with W, enabling your team to secure objectives with a numerical or health advantage. It is crucial to avoid getting close to enemies unless absolutely necessary, as most champions will overpower you in close-range encounters. However, your W ability will be highly potent, allowing you to take down enemies quickly. If the enemy attempts to engage on you, a good play is to W them, then Q into your ultimate to create distance. By the time your W is available again, you can finish them off. Your focus should be around the objectives during this stage of the game.
Late Game:
At this point, you should have 5-6 items, and your W damage will be immense. Your main goal is to target squishy enemies with your W. Simply landing one W on the mid laner or ADC can force them to base and give up baron/dragon. If your team is on the losing side late game, they will likely be playing around objectives. This presents an opportunity for you to hit long-range Ws from fog of war, forcing the enemy to back off and allowing your team to push with a health advantage.
Sieging:
Kai'sa excels at sieging when she is taking down enemy towers. You can poke the enemy from long range without the threat of engagement since you are positioned far away. However, defending as Kai'sa can be challenging, especially when the enemy champions are hidden behind minions. It is ideal to have teammates with good wave clear to handle defending duties.
Pairing:
To maximize gold income as quickly as possible, it is advisable to play Kai'sa in the top lane. The ideal champions to have on your team are tanks or AD bruisers. Falling behind without a tank on your team often leads to unfavorable outcomes. Therefore, consider asking your mid laner to pick champions like Sion, Galio, or Pantheon.
