Understanding Zoe
Just a few tips for understanding Zoe and maximizing her damage output. The biggest thing that really helped me play Zoe was realizing that in order to land q you have to become the q I know that probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense but what I'm trying to say is you have to trust the missile. You have to walk into the enemy and for a little while it's going to be scary, but just get used to it. I personally use the audio cue to know when my q is max range, use this to know when to release it and maximize distance.

A good way to maximize dps is to try and use both procs of her passive on a single q. Q>auto>q>auto. This will usually only happen on stationary targets and in situations where your sleep target is right on top you of you. You're allowed to auto them one time with your passive before the target is slept and the next ability breaks the sleep. e>auto>q>q>auto

Zoe's W is a deceptively powerful move and imo is the ability that no one really understands, which is why you always get people complaining about how zoe killed them even though they missed everything. When Zoe activates an item or summoner she picked up OR her OWN summoners, she gets 3 missiles and a bonus to her move speed. A really good tip I advise for Zoe players, new or not, is to realize how much kill pressure your own summoners give you. Igniting someone overextended at 80% health can easily result in a kill if you utilize the bonus move speed and missiles correctly. Corrupting pot burn, correct rotation of passive autos, w missiles, ignite burn, aery, sleep damage, and then a good q. That's so much damage. There's been so many times i'll ignite someone full health just to use the bonus movespeed to run them down.

For good use of Zoe's E you need to make a habit of deep warding. Catching rotating players can result in them dying or going back to base. An out of position jungler can be some of the most free kills for Zoe. Burn abilities like ignite won't break the sleep either. Make sure to yell at teammates that wake up sleeping targets. Also make sure to use the full duration of the sleep and maximize walking distance between you and a slept target if they are especially dangerous before waking them. Sometimes it's better to continue running and not wake them at all.

Finally Zoe's ult. Zoe's ult can be used in more ways than just extending your q or e and some are outright hilarious. Giving vision over walls. Sleeping someone on top of you and using ult to buy you time to wait out the timer. I've had a lee flash kick me, only for me to ult while it happened so went all the way back to safety. Her ult also acts the same way as flash does when going inside terrain. If the majority of yourself is on the other half of the terrain, her ult will send her farther just like flashing would put you on the other side of the wall.

Good use of her ult is incredibly important. To maximize her range on q, send it backwards, walk forward, and as it's just about to reach you, ult forward for maximum range. Now a really important decision you're going to have be making a lot is to even use your ult or not. My advice is to not use your ult if you don't have to and opt to walk your q into them instead if you can (unless it's too dangerous, then yes use your ult) What happens is you'll end up in scenarios where if you have to use your ult to throw out an e, the target will be too far to follow up with a q since your ult is on cd. You'll usually have to either rely on a teammate to follow it up or use your own flash to close the distance for your q.

Become really good at movement. To play Zoe you HAVE to have good positioning and the ability to outmaneuver and dodge abilities. Walking q's will consistently put you in danger, so make sure you have your juke boots on and use that bonus movespeed from w.
