Champion Build Guide
Q: Your main tool in lane, you need to understand the movements of the enemies so you can hit your Q, Starcall self heal is really strong for laning phase so whenever you hit it you pretty much always win out on the trade
W: Astral Infusion is really garbage early on in the game, never start lvl 1 with her W cuz you heal pretty much the same amount of hp as you lose.
In lane, don't use it randomly on your adc if he has more than 60% hp, wait for your Q to hit so your W costs less health and you also apply the Rejuvenation healing of Soraka Q.
If you need to base and there is no thread nearby and your teammate wants to stay, just heal him up a bit before you base, don't need that health anyway.
E: Equinox used to be a strong poke spell, but you need to understand when to use it as poke, in laning phase it's fine to use it as poke but after that it's your tool to win fights, the silence is really powerful since people cant jump/flash away, cant use their spells to blow up someone, etc. Don't cast it because you can, think what the enemy is planing to do and react on that, or when a KhaZix or whatever jumps on your adc, place E underneath, When alistar looks like he is about to WQ, E under yourself so only his W goes off. It's the hardest mechanic to master of Soraka. Also, you can place your Equinox underneath your teammate in combat to proc Moonstone in case you cant reach the enemy/have no hp to heal, and place equinox underneath an enemy tp so you instantly root them and cant use the tp movementspeed, or E as zoning so the enemies cant flash/walk onto it or else they get rooted
R: Wish, aka the enemies on the other side of the map wish you cancer.
"Look at the minimap" is what a lot of people tell you, sure, you need to do that. But with soraka you're more interested in the healthbars you see near the minimap, whenever someone's healthbar is dropping you need to check what is going on their position and decide if/when you're going to ult. If it's possible ult on the last autoattack/spell before your teammate dies, or else just use it when they're below 40% hp (+50% healing). If you dont think your teammate can get a kill out of it or still dies with your ult, Do Not Use It. This is why you need to check what is going on at their lane and not just press R whenever your teammate is about to die. It makes sure that your R is useful and you dont waste a big cooldown for nothing.
The moonstone buff of 11.11 makes it almost always the best option for soraka, 30% healing increase is big for a champion that spams her W and has an AoE ult heal. Bananagirl loves heals.
Warmogs got changes, you now only need 1100 bonus health before it's active, with soraka you want to stand behind your team and hope to not get focussed. If you dont get hit, that means you can sustain your team without a real cost since you have +200% mana regen, manaflow and warmogs healing.
You get the 1100 bonus hp by: 800 warmogs, 200 Moonstone, 75 Shard of True Ice (1075) and 25+ of scaling hp in runes.
Wardstone upgrade is really strong now, it costs 1100 gold for 150hp, 10 haste and 12% bonus hp/ap/ad/ah. If we calculate this at minimum value (so Lvl 13, 20-30 minutes in game) the Gold Value of Soraka with this build is 1624gold, aka almost a 50% gold value bonus, supports don't gain **** after 20 minutes so gold efficient items are pretty good for them (and ofc in general).
With this build so far, and calculating Gathering Storm in the Gold Value of this build at lvl 13 with 2 stacks of Gathering Storm, The Gold Value of this build is 10870 and Gold cost is 7050 (+54,2% gold efficiency without passives) which is kinda nuts
