League of Legends (LoL) Question: GLP or Protobelt on Annie?

    GLP or Protobelt on Annie?

Ive been finding quite a bit of success with Annie so far, and I have tried both of these items. In my opinion, GLP feels better, but I know the gap close on Protobelt is amazing on Annie.

So, I'm a bit torn. Is it a situational case, or should someone always go for one over the other?

I would probably build neither and just go Morellonomicon into Rylai's Crystal Scepter but to be fair I don't play much Annie. GLP sounds like a worse Rylai's. Protobelt seems okay I guess, but it's really awful for comboing into a stun because you're locked out of your abilities during the dash. You'll have a tough time catching people off guard with that.

    Hey Electro,
I really don't play Annie that often so keep my opinion as a grain of salt. I normally get Luden's if I need the movement/Rylai's for super Tibbers slows, but if you are going to get a hextech item, I really prefer Protobelt due to the extra damage, small 'flash', and cooldown reduction it gives. Plus, if you DO get ROA on Annie, getting GLP would waste the Eternity passive. However, GLP is still a good item! I think maybe if they have a bit of a more engage-y team, GLP is great because it can slow them down, but I would take Protobelt in other cases. Also, I think that Protobelt is normally better to rush, while GLP can be bought at mid game with no problem- it's also just 500 gold more expensive. I hope this helped!!
