League of Legends (LoL) Question: Rylais on Azir

Rylais on Azir

Currently i build Athene/Nashor on Azir to get 40% cdr, mana regen and atk speed. Then i build Rylais because slowing people from behind the frontline is a great addition for the team. It wasts Azir Q slow but is obviously a better slow. So what do you guys think? Is it still a worth item on him or should i be happy enough with his Q and another item? Also which item would you suggest as a alternativ. Rushing Deathcab or going defensive with abysall/zhonya?

into has been a pretty popular build for a while. I wouldn't go Athene's on Azir.

's has a 25% slow, and since it's a multi-target spell (or summoned minion damage), you lose 's slow, not the Q slow. Aparently it's still bought because of soldier damage applying the slow.

If you're going Damage over Time (DoT) I guess Rylai's would be core. I wouldn't buy it if I went for a nuke build with lots of AP and no , though (iirc it was a thing some time ago).

Considering this is a guide site, why not check an azir guide out?

You can ask the guide maker, not sure if he'll respond though. He probably knows a lot about Azir.
