    Vel'koz jungle?

Would it be possible for Vel'koz to be a viable jungler?

Stonewall seems to think he's a pretty good jungler, with strong clears post-Spirit Stone and decent ganks, but I'm not Stonewall so I disagree. I want to try it though.

An interesting idea, while velkoz has great clears witht he actuall camps, he dsoent have the same gank potetional and speed that most other junglers have =P

    No. He's too slow.
I'm not saying he can't do it, I'm saying he'll never be able to do it as well as other junglers.

I'm making a guide for Vel'Koz jungle. And here it is how it goes. I'm using 2 Movement Speed Quints and I also add 1% from Utility. Which grants him 354 Movement Speed with a Tier 2 you have a movement speed of 400. I use Flat Magic Resist blues, AP reds, and one AP quint. And yellow armor. I spent 21/7/2 Obviously taking points on Butcher and Feast with along Tough Skin and Bladed Armor.

The items I get are Wraith, Sorcerer Boots (though thinking of getting Ionian Boots. Shen which later I'll turn into Lich Bane (for turrets and extra damage for split pushing), though for me these two items are a must to have early game: Rylai's Crystal Scepter (since it slows down your enemies which makes your R more effective) and Liandry's Torment (for that percent damage). Before Lich Bane I would build Rabadon's.

Vel'Koz has a low mana cost which helps you to clear the jungle pretty easy. At level 3 the jungle is easily cleared. With Lich Bane you get some extra speed.

Been testing this, it helps you to clear the jungle solo without the need of team mates, so I guess if they pull for you you can clear the jungle without a single proble. At level 12/13 you can solo the dragon without any help and really fast actually under a minute, so I bet if bot helps you out you can have the dragon early game and pretty fast as well.

For counter jungle, he is perfect since he just would clear the jungle too fast. Stun, slow and true damage would make a lot of people cry.

I still need to test a lot of things, but his ganks are pretty easy post level 3. Remember to go with W first (cause of your passive, you need this first and max it first), then Q (is more spamable) and then E (max it last, don't abuse it since this is also your escape skill). Once you have Rylai's you can use your ulti to finish enemies that are running away, lucky for you Rylai's will slow them down which a few more seconds stacks every 0.5 seconds of your passive.

He's pretty good, though you need Rylai's to stop being so squishie, then Liandri's lament. And you'll be dealing a lot of damage, for jungle here is your combo: EWQW. This will most likely clear a camp, except for buffs, you'll need Smite for the camp, but they will be down pretty fast. AP is not as important, remember what you really want is to abuse your true damage, so you must always land your skills. I suggest to use your Q first on your enemies and if you land it use your E since your E is pretty easy to dodge so your Q + Rylai's should do the trick, then land your E on then and use your W on them. If lucky you'll have landed a true damage and might have one stack left, which another W will land another true damage impact. With a help of a team mate you'll have a certain kill there.

Vel'koz does have an excellent clear time, and can be built with spell vamp to fix any sustain issues. However, I have personally found its mobility to be too lacking. Flash only gets you so far, and you sacrifice valuable time casting your slow or snare and trying to run away. Any champ with a gap closer will inevitably rip you to shred unless practicing very extreme caution.

Vel does have an exceptional steal ability, however. All of his abilities travel through walls, and have a decent range. I wouldn't be surprised to see an unwarded Baron become a Penta situation for the right Vel'koz.

Maybe Dragon/Baron/Buff steals, but since you are very easy to catch is kinda suicidal...

Every time I stole baron with VK I left the battle untouched... once I stole baron from blue side blue buff's position, so its not suicidal at all

Don't forget Explosive Cask. I've seen quite a few baron steals from that ult alone

because nidalee and varus aren't long range. those q's man... super long range for a spell like that
also i don't think gp does enough damage with his ult to make it happen unless there is a bad/no smite on the other team

The only one that is successful to steal them without dying are probably Nidalee, Xerath, Varus, Gangplank, Trynda, Kassadin. But Kassa, Nidalee, Varus, Trynda. They can also die, so it is suicidal too. Only those with long range like Ez, GP and Xerath.
