E: Talon vaults over any terrain or structure, up to a max distance. This ability has a low cooldown, but puts the used terrain on a long cooldown.
Assassin: Build lethality itens, early burst and snowball potential, stronger roams and very good against squishy comps. However, you will fall off hard and can be hard punished if enter in wrong fights, so this style is harder than bruiser. Bruiser: Build fighter itens, needs to farm more so roams and is very good at teamfights. However, roams and burst are quite late, at least you can get a nice scale.
3. Why play Talon?
PROS
- He is very strong at soloq because low comunication, so you can hard snowball with your amazing roams. You can help your teammates a lot.
- His all win lvl 2 is one of the strongests, you can use this to get a early lane prio.
- He can go Assassin/Bruiser and his kit isn't hard! Good for beginners.
- He is a strong MID/JG now. Also, low pick/ban rate CONS
- He falls of hard, so long games are hard for him (harder to one shot).
- The fact that some matchups can be hard for you and you don't have lanes to gank.
- You need to know when to roam or you will loose XP and turrets!
- He's a full AD champ, so pay attention on your team comp. BEST COMPS Your team:
- AP champs to balance damage
- Peel champs for more survavity (Ex.: Yuumi, Lulu, Karma...)
- Champs that can change terrain like Anivia or Azir (Talon can jump their ult) Enemy team:
- If enemies are squishy you can snowball hard
- Avoid picking Talon if enemies are tanky
- Talon can be boring if enemies can stop you easy (Qiyana's R when you're jumping wall, Lulu's W if enemy team can burst you after this...)
4. Talon Lanes
MID:
It's where most mages and assassin plays (squishy champs), so he can one shot them easy. Abuse your lvl 2 pressure to get first blood and wave prio. Always look for ganks due to your roam potencial.
JUNGLE:
After 12.2 nerfs, Talon isn't a tier S jungler anymore, but still playable. You can still snowball due to his E and Ignite + Smite for duels on jungle, but your clear is now slower. Remember that you will be like any other jungler assassin, so gank early a lot. For better roams+duels, start with Emberknife, and for better map control go Youmuu's and after ISW or Eclipse. You still can start with no leash (but will take time a lot of HP, so I think it's a bd idea) and invade camps well fter lvl 4(abuse this if enemy jungler is squishy and can't burst you back at that time like Evelynn, Kindred...). AFTER 12.10 PATCH = TANKY PATCH[R/b]: With Goredrinker and other bruiser items buffs this style is stronger now (lethality is playable,but weaker). Also, for me, Eclipse is a good mythic for Bruiser and Lethality! Easy shield proc and scaling armor pen are very useful. Conqueror still a nice rune, but if they're all squishy you can try Electrocute or Dark Harvest for hard snowball. Also, Phase Rush is interesting for dodging skillshots.
TOP:
Top is known for tanky champs that can fight and split well. Even if bruiser talon can stay a little bit more on fights than assassin, true top lane champs have better kit for this so he can suffer sometimes. Also, is harder to roam so he can fall off a lot.
