Easy Match up. Amumu has no mobility and doesn't have the damage to kill daisy, so just let her loose on him and watch him suffer. Care not to get caught by his Q/R combo in a team fight.
Ekko
Ekko is annoying but he shouldnt have the damage to kill you, and with your shields it will be difficult for him to assassinate anyone. Care not to get caught by his w.
Elise
Hard for her to burst your team due to your shields, and you never have to face check a brush due to your W and Daisy. Relatively easy match up.
Hecarim
This match up is pretty solid for Ivern. You hard outscale him in teamfights later on, just be careful of him using his ult to misposition you. Survive to late and he won't be able to kill your carries.
Udyr
Udyr is annoying but thanks to Daisy and your E slows you can kite him relatively easily.
Kha'Zix
This match up can be very scary for Ivern. Play cautious if you aren't sure where Kha is as he can chase you down relatively easily.
Kayn
This match up depends on the form, but isn't terrible either way. Kayn pauses slightly after his Q and that is a good time for you to land your Qs.
Lee Sin
This match up can be hard if the Lee Sin is good and has a lead. If he doesn't get ahead though, you will destroy him and hard out scale in team fights.
Viego
If he gets a reset on his ult you will probably want to run for the hills. Protect your carries.
Shaco
This can be a tough match up as Shaco can easily get on top of you and assassinate. Be very cautious. Most shacos gank the red side lane after 3 camp clearing, so warn you laner. Consider invading with a sweeper lvl 1 to destroy his boxes.
Lillia
Relatively easy match up. Be careful not to get hit by her E's. If she lands an ult on you it can be dangerous. Daisy slow's mess her up.
Nunu & Willump
This match up can be a little bit annoying as Nunu can Q + Smite your Daisy and pretty much instantly kill her, making your team fighting much worse. However with your shields and roots you can look him down pretty easy after his phase rush is down and protect your carries. You can also use Daisy to block his snowballs (W).
Fiddlesticks
Probably your worst match up. He has TONS of AoE damage making your single target shield much less valuable, and he can get on top of your fairly easy with his ult. Consider banning this.
Nidalee
Don't face check into spears and make sure to ward your blue early in case she invades.
Dr. Mundo
Easy match up. Easily kitable and can't dive your carries with your shields/healing.
Evelynn
If she starts red you can invade her at her blue before scuttle spawns, almost every Evelynn will full clear and they get low by the end. Make sure to buy lots of control wards.
Karthus
Daisy can 1v1 Karthus at level 6. Make sure to dodge his Qs.
Rengar
One of your hardest match ups. NEVER use your W in fights, or you give him free bushes to jump off of. Try to track him early game and don't let him snowball.
Jarvan IV
This match up can be hard, as he can get on top of you fairly easily and trap your with his ult. Be very careful if you don't have your flash up.
Master Yi
Be careful with your positioning and make sure to only use your Q on him if Alpha Strike is down. If he gets resets on your team it will be difficult to stop him.
Nocturne
If he gets ahead he can ult onto you for free kills at pretty much any time. When he ults it can be hard to see and shield your team mates. Don't shoot your Q unless its pointblank range or his spell shield is down.
Rek'Sai
A good rek'sai can make this match up a nightmare. Try to track her early and don't let her snowball. If she has prowlers claw she can 1 shot you at pretty much any time.
Skarner
Watch your positioning so you don't get caught by his ult and this match up is easy. Skarner is too easily kited.
Olaf
You can't really threaten to kill him but you can protect your team from his dives which makes him useless in teamfights later on unless he gets too far ahead.
Rammus
VERY easy match up. You kite him for days.
Vi
Ivern is good at keeping her ult target alive, just make sure that you aren't the target by positioning well.
Kindred
Beware his early ganking power and try to track. Shoot your Q just before the end of her ult to lock her down and kill.
Zac
This is a harder match up because Zac can easily get ontop of you and ruin your positioning. You also don't have the damage to kill him yourself. Be careful not to get caught out by his E and consider invading his blue before first scuttle.
Shyvana
Easily kited.
Warwick
Easily kited. Make sure not to get caught of position with his ults and this match up is free.
Sejuani
Don't get caught out by her ult and the match up is easy. She doesn't have the damage to threaten you by herself.
Xin Zhao
After his rework this match up is a little scary. If you get hit by his W you might be in trouble so try to avoid that and beware his early aggression/invade potential.
Volibear
If you interrupt his Q with yours it will just come back up so beware that. If he dives your carries he shouldnt be able to kill them through your shields, just make sure he isn't diving onto you.
Bel'Veth
I don't have any personal data for this match up, but the stats seem to suggest that it's even. watch out for her w cc!

Ivern likes to play with bruisers who go in and can make the most of his shield. You keep them alive for longer and they can jump to key targets with your Q. I know its a good Ivern game if I have a solid bruiser on my team.

Abilities
[Q] Rootcaller
Fire a slow moving projectile that roots the target. Once rooted you can press Q again or auto attack the target and you'll be pulled towards them. Be careful of this, as it might not always be want you want.
If you can, land your E slow or auto attack with red buff before trying to land the Q. If you're playing in an elo where people dodge skill shots, shoot this slightly behind the target as that is how most people try to dodge.
[W] Brushmaker
Create a bush that will briefly give you vision of the target area. Use this to avoid ever face checking. You can also use this to protect a ward from being spotted by a control ward (this is particularly useful in baron or dragon pit).
While in a brush your autos also do increased damage. Make sure to take advantage of this, as it is actually a lot of damage. Especially in the early game.
[E] Triggerseed
Shield a target ally or Daisy for 2 seconds. At the end of the shield deal magic damage and slow nearby enemies.
This is your bread and butter ability. Make sure you are shielding your carries more or less off cooldown in team fights. Consider setting a hotkey to self cast this ability. I personally use "T".
[R] Daisy!
Summon Daisy.
When daisy is summoned she gains a burst of movement speed. Use this to lead with her in ganks and shield her to slow your targets.
You can also use daisy to check bushes and baron/dragon. She has a very low CD which starts going down the moment she is summoned. In the late game she has effectively a 5 second cool down if she survives the full duration.
The Perfect Clear
There are technically a few clears you can do on Ivern, but there is one that stands above all the others and I recommend doing it every game.
Mark Murk Wolves > Mark Blue > Mark Gromp > Smite Red > Mark Raptors > Take Blue Side Camps > Take Raptors > Smite Scuttle
When you are picking up your blue side camps you can look to gank if it looks free, but you might lose your raptors.
If you have lane priority you can invade some junglers at their blue while you wait for scuttle crab to spawn.
Teamfighting on Ivern is simple in concept but can be difficult in execution.
Position as if you are the most important player on your team. You should be the last to die.
Use daisy to peel your carries, this might require a little bit of micro to make sure she is on the right target.
Shield your carries on CD when they are in danger.
Try to weave in W empowered autos, but not at the cost of putting you in a dangerous position if you can help it.
Putting all of this together takes a little bit of practice, but when mastered Ivern is a fantastic team fighter that offers value to just about any team comp.
The End
If you've read this far into the guide you should have everything you need to get started on your Ivern journey. However, I'm a firm believer that education is a life long pursuit.
