Hardest counter for wukong. Luckily he is not very often on top. He is beatable in early lvls all ins if u know the cooldowns(you have lower cooldown on E than his E so that's small window you can use) or if he has bad runes ( no phase rush), but the best strategy is to ask jungler for help. After 6 his disengage tools are just too big, u cannot all in really.
Malphite
Really Hard matchup.
The longer the game the stronger he is compared to you, one of my most common ban.
Try to trick him into 1 lvl fight and kill him or waste tp. For comet malphite doran shield is a must, he is slightly easier though than grasp, where you can fight him only after he misses E. Later on he is unkillable for you and even if he doesn't kill you lane is lost.
Mordekaiser
Really hard matchup.
My second ban option.
I found playing aggresive early and trying to miss his skills with clone pretty good for him so he is beatable, much stronger after 6 though. Your only chance is if he ults your W. If he has both shield and ulti then don't even try.
Maokai
Skill matchup in his favour.
On highest elo he is almost unbeatable for you but without as much pressure to deny your CS as extreme thread champs, In lower ones you can all in him lvls 1-3 and you should be fine after 6 if he doesn't stack too much armour or buy black cleaver (don't do it if no one else is tanky though). Avoid trades in lvls 4-5, his Q is too strong punishment.
Try to jump on him with E everytime he uses Q, otherwise he can use it to disengage(if he doesn't just melt him and it's free game), try to bait him away from bushes and do get yourself cheesed into them by his Q. Keep good vision because he set up ganks extremely good.
Buy executioner
Akali
Hard matchup.
She counter your W by her W, be cautious and buy doran shield because her poke is painfull. Havn't played much against her so i think she is rare matchup
Shen
Hard matchup.
He has stronger lvl 1 fight if he get's passive, otherwise you can try your luck. His power spike is at lvl 3.
Try to survive until lvl 6 without getting much grasp+q hits and you can try to beat him in all in, during his W don't even try to AA him, keep your ulti for the entire time.
Poppy
Skill matchup in her favor.
Her tools are literally counter to you but you can beat her if you make your all in unpredictable. If you wanna win this lane try to jump on her in random moments and pray she doesn't knockup you. Safer option is to play around it, she won't use it while u have your E ready to use. The best way to kill her is random all in under your turret after 6, don't forget to be careful if she is low, she get's tankier and can outplay you.
Cassiopeia
Skill matchup in her favour.
If she is good you lose the lane, otherwise just snowball and she is done. Avoid her slow because it makes your skill unable to use.
Vladimir

Take doran shield unless you feel confident.
He outscale you so i prefer to play aggresive, if your team win then just farm and don't take free poke. Fed late game vlad is frightening. Executioner works great.
Cho'Gath
Hard matchup.
Like any ap tank he counter you, and his sustain is great so try to rather all unless you can control wave after trade. play around his q and jump on him if he does one. Your are fine the later.
Camille
Coinflip, skill matchup.
Good camille can obliterate you but i found myself winning this matchup much often. I mostly take doran shield as she is very willing to short trades and poke with her W.
Keep your W for her E and try to avoid dmg+stun with it. If she doesn't play perfect your lvl 6 is always stronger. You can also cheese her lvl 1 by using E without any AA, she proc magic shield then and u can punish her with few autos.
Renekton
Skill matchup
Play around his passive, he gets stronger at lvl 2 and 6 but you should kill him in later lvls and you outscale him so even being behind in CS is fine if you doesn't die. U can play aggresive though.

Skill Matchup.
Buy executioner, if she doesn't stun you (and u can miss it with W) or slow you attack speed then you mostly win this matchup, just don't allow her to apply passive on you. If she kill you she will snowball hard, don't even try to fight her if she has lvl advantage, you can try random all in under turret if she tries to poke you too hard..
Jax
Skill matchup
Keep your clone for 0,5-1 second after he uses his E. He cannot punish you while you are invisible
Riven
Skill matchup in your favor
Your lvl 1 is stronger, if she doesn't kite you too hard you mostly win and you scale better, don't try to engage on her though, rather punish her mistakes and outfarm.
Volibear
Hard matchup FOR ME
I don't really get how to play against him yet, he may be around even but owned me hard sometimes. Wukong outscale him and mostly win after lvl 6 but earlier on you must mostly give up wave control. Don't try to fight him too long without executioner as he heals a lot, avoid fighting him while on barrier. If you keep these things in mind u can kill him easily after 6.
I like doran shield for this matchup but blade may work too.
Tryndamere
Skill matchup.
Volatile lane, you can lose even if ahead so does he. Fight him lvl 1 before he proc his fury, nice to buy tabi asap. Ignite works well for him.
Sett
Skill matchup.
I'm not sure how to really win against him, it mostly depends on him, just play around W and don't get hit by it(you can miss true dmg with clone). Care about him after he get's BOTRK and never stay between him and his turret.
Sion
If he goes AD he is easy as fuck,otherwise even matchup.
Just jump on him and W behind so you miss his Q or get much lower dmg without CC. Don't get cheese by him in the bushes. Your are stronger in all ins.
Aatrox
Skill matchup.
Good aatrox can own you but most of them are bad and your kits works pretty nice on them. If he waste his E and doesn't CC you can punish him by your E. You can also use both your clone or E to avoid his spells.
Darius
EASY AS FUCK
You are probably as big counter for him as Vayne or Cassiopeia. I always have a fun when they "counter" my pick with him because it's almost certain win(got 94% winrate against Darius). You can even fight him while his all passive stacks are on you, just don't get kited. Just remember these things below and it's guaranteed win.
Take ignite, as he mostly get's ghost and it makes your win secured
Always buy doran blade
try to trap him in the bushes lvl 1, aa+e when he comes, if he contest the fight he may end up dead, otherwise lose half hp.
Don't use E and W(he can heal from it) until he uses Q, almost always(not if he has wave advantage) punish him when he does it so you deny his dmg and heal and force all in or bad trade for him. Later on you get's ranged Q so just poke him and all in with ult. He may kill you if you are not paying attention but it's rare, just don't get caught without ult.

Hello, i'm Miedzic, mostly low diamond elo player who returned to this game after Wukong rework.
I had a lot of troubles finding good wukong guide here, every one of them were completely trash or with very unconventional and unomptimal builds like Sanguine/Lethality build. Most of them were just outdated, even if updated they were designed to old wukong without any consideration of new wukong possibilities.
I tried every one of these builds and my conclusions are obvious. There is no better build than the one I gives here(i'll expand this topic soon).
When I finally hit the jackpot I managed to increase my elo from hardstuck d4 close to demote with 48% winrate as Wukong into D1 with 56,2% (and +- 75% high elo winrate in last month)by just changing build and increasing my macro skills. I hope this guide will make an ultimate tutorial to how op Wukong can be and will help you get's your's dreamed division .
