[12.6] NA MASTERS || FIORA OTP || IG: MorgottTheKing

By MorgottTheKing
Put these foolish ambitions to rest....
Hey my IG is MorgottTheKing (main) and MargitTheFell (2nd account whenever I have to dodge on my main). I played Fiora for 3 seasons and just recently reached Masters on both of my accounts (my peak LP is 216 on my 2nd account). Therefore, I play versus the best top laners in NA (not Challenger/GM level but soon :D) and will confidently show you how to play against every top lane champ. I'll also show you Fiora's champ mechanics/combos, as well as general lane mechanics. Most importantly, I'll show you how to AVOID JG GANKS.
PLEASE NOTE WIP
This guide is a work in progress. I have already published my build, runes, and general guidelines to every toplane matchup. I will continue to expand the guide to include more stuff, so come back to see my newest updates. This guide should be done by first week of April 2022.
This Guide.....
Unlike other guides on this website, I will NOT go over the usual stuff like pros/cons , all possible runes/items, etc, and general info on abilities. I am assuming you are already familiar with Fiora and want to expand on your knowledge on build order, lane matchups, and macro/mid-game gameplay. I'll show you the runes/builds I always pick according to the matchup, and will not elaborate on other items that aren't in my builds so you don't have to waste time reading long paragraphs like this one. I'll try to be brief and concise for the rest of the guide. I hope you learn a thing or too out of this :D
Skill order
>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>
I recommend leveling W max 2nd over E max 2nd since you lower its cd by a lot more (increments of 2 sec) and more ap damage, which is noticeable midgame. Leveling E max second only affects its crit damage and attack speed by increments of 10%, so I would level this last. The more you can parry in a drawn out fight, the higher the chance that you can win it.
Itemization

Duelist
This is what I think is Fiora's best item path. Your playstyle is to poke vitals with divine, which nets you insane healing. Combination of divine + Botrk allows you to 1v1 every champ in the game. Rush DD or wits as 3rd item depending on enemy team comp. Applies to boots as well.

Standard
Standard/most popular build for Fiora. What advantage this has over the above build is that it gives more ad for two items (125 AD vs 80 AD), gives you ability to proc vitals faster, and more ability haste. However, I'd rather go with divine+botrk sinze it fits my playstyle (poke poke poke then all-in). Feel free to try both build paths and see what you lean towards.

Split
If you want to split all game and never group, get these! Hullbreaker for tower smashing, divine for dueling, ravenous for wave clear, and the other items for defence.

Never Back, Powerfarm
A build that I'm limit testing in masters but seems to work out fine. Ravenous + essence reaver allows you to waveclear and farm as much as you want WITHOUT EVER HAVING TO RECALL. You get to split and clear enemy jg (krugs, raptors, wolves, and buffs occasionally) to build up a massive gold lead. Dueling potential is fine, but downside is that you don't have a lot of hp until you build gore 3rd.
Runes
Conqueror Runes
Conqueror The AD stacking allow you to continue to prolong trades, and is essential for all-inning someone
Triumph The % missing health healing determines whether you live or die after you got a kill
Legend: Tenacity Get this if enemy team has cc. If they don't, get Legend: Alacrity
Coup de Grace allows you to finish them off faster
Bone Plating lets you net more positive trades. I would not get Second Wind since the healing is not noticeable. I rather block some damage than get some wimpy healing. But feel free to get Second Wind versus dot champs
Overgrowth best resolve rune in the game. Note that that there is no CAP for hp stacking. Treat it like sion's w passive. Should net an average of 200 additional hp per game.

Grasp runes
Grasp of the Undying your playstyle is to q-poke asap whenever you have this up. You don't have to q for vitals but its a plus if they're facing you. You won't have a chance to stack this mid/late game, so go ham early. Should net an average of 40 procs (200 additional hp) per game
Demolish good for early plates
Bone Plating see above
Overgrowth see above
Triumph see above
Legend: Tenacity see above

Shards
Attack Speed
Adaptive Force
Shield or Tenacity and Slow Resist choose depending on your matchup
Trading Combos
Lunge -> AA
Standard way to poke. You use q on the enemy at the MAX RANGE of your auto attack range, then immediately auto then back off. Don't do this if your enemy is Darius or Sett as they will pull you in

Lunge -> AA -> Bladework1 -> Bladework2
Standard trade for a chunk of their hp. You have to let Fiora auto before you activate E or else you'll lose out on a free auto.

Lunge -> AA -> Bladework1 -> Riposte -> Bladework2
Use this if the enemy is holding a cc ability. After your first E, parry immediately, since this is usually the moment they cc you. Will not work all the time since players tend to cc you immediately or hold it indefinitely. Either way, you will still chunk their health.

Note that these combos are only for TRADES, and not ALL-INS. If you want to all-in, you have to weave in some spacing that positions you to hit the vitals on the enemy, using each ability to proc them if possible. For all-ins, see next section
All-In Combos
1 second burst
Grand Challenge -> Riposte -> AA -> Flash + Bladework1 -> Lunge -> Bladework2
Late game, you will kill 100-0 anyone if you do it right.
I'll upload a video of this combo

If you have gore/stride
Grand Challenge -> Riposte -> AA -> Flash + Bladework1 -> Lunge -> Goredrinker -> Bladework2
This is faster than the first combo because you can activate gore faster than you can land your Bladework2. Use practice tool and test this combo on a dummy. Note: its difficult to pull this off since (1) you need all of your abilities to be off cd and (2) you have to get close to the enemy WITHOUT using q to close the gap. Therefore, you can safely do this combo if you hide in a bush and wait for them to enter.
How to initiate a vital chain
Vital chain means that without your ult, you consecutively proc your vitals by maneuvaring around the enemy champ. Vitals are pseudo-random, but there are four spawn points similar to cardinal directions: North, South, West, East.

GENERAL RULE: there are two main sides you want to account for: North-East (NE) and South-West (SW). If you hit a vital on the NE side, the next vital will spawn either S or W, so you need to move SW of the enemy champ. Vice-versa: if you hit a vital on the SW side, you move to the NE side of the enemy then move to where the vital is to proc it.

Being familiar with this rule will allow you to consistenly proc your vitals in a chain during an extended trade. Do not try this if the enemy champ can (1) out-trade you or (2) if near enemy tower. You have to get more familiar with your match-ups to determine whether you can safely initate a vital chain. I'll upload a vid of how this works and update the guide to further elaborate on lane matchups.

Note: you can proc your vitals before the full-animation of them popping up on the enemy champ can finish. This requires deliberate timing, since you might auto the specific side with the vital appearing but fail to proc the vital.
