Skill matchup. You can all-in lvl1 looking for vitals. Rush lvl 2 and level W. If Aatrox 1st q does not seem to hit you, it means he will e to close the gap. This is the perfect time to parry, and will always hit.
Akali
Lvl 1 make safe trades by poking, try to hit vitals if possible. Q so that it hits akali but doesnt put you in her auto range, so that she can't get her passive autos on you. Only use your ult when she already used her shroud. Otherwise, you will not be able to proc all 4 in the time window. Use parry for either her q+auto or her second e.
Akshan
Buy dorans shield. Let him push to your tower and get as much cs as you can without losing too much hp. You can trade by q+ auto then retreating to a bush. You can parry his q+double auto or his e IF he e's towards you. Also note that you can parry all five of his ult shots if you time it right. Pls note that if he ults you if you're by the second tower while the first tower is still alive, the shots will PASS through.
Camille
The most fun matchup for a fiora. Lvl 1, camille will level W first. ONLY use q towards HER when her W animation starts, so you can avoid bonus damage and make a good trade. You can use q+aa+e on her before she autos you to get the shield. Never make a trade while her shield is up. ALWAYS save your parry for her e, and never use it when she is on the wall. Only parry IF (1) she E2 AND (2) goes towards you. You can master this by simply playing elden ring.
Cassiopeia
Cancer. Play safe and dont try to make short trades or else she will wittle you down with q+e spam. BACK AWAY when she uses her W miasma, and only engage when its down. You can either turn your back towards her when she starts her R animation, or you can simply time the parry. Look for jg help if possible.
Cho'Gath
lmao
Darius
What separates a bad fiora and a good fiora is whether they mastered the darius matchup. you HAVE the damage to fully kill darius lvl 2/3 if you follow these steps: (1) rush lvl 2, (2) once he uses decimate, q in (3) parry his aa+w combo. Bait out his e by making it look like you're in his e range, but you back off immediately. This requires good spacing. Lvl 6, always save your parry for his ult. The only time he can ult you definitely is if he uses his E+R combo, since you are locked out of parry usage during this combo.
Dr. Mundo
Be good at dodging his cleavers. You can also hide behind minions. Otherwise, this is an easy matchup. Note: if you take a bunch of cleaver poke, YOU WILL LOSE TRADEs. Just dodge.
Gangplank
GP is a lane bully. DO NOT let him freely poke you with q. Hide in the bush if you can to prevent this. Keep in mind that he has limited barrels and a long barrel refill cd. The most optimal way to win this matchup is to destroy his barrels before he can destroy his. If you do this, you (1) prevent him from refreshing true damage dot (2) prevent barrel damage (3) force him to back off. Seek jg help if you can.
Garen
Do not understimate garen's damage. ALWAYS try to parry his q AND back off. Every garen will try to q first then E you. Even if you parried his q, BACK OFF to avoid his spin damage. After his e ends, RUSH BACK IN to burst him down. Easy peasy lane if you time your all-ins right.
Gnar
Just because he is range, don't be afraid to all-in. Use your q+a+e combo and use your parry to block his 3rd w damage. His mega-gnar W is very telegraphed, so you can W or q+w to stun him. If it looks like mega-gnar can pull off a good R-stun on you, USE YOUR PARRY before he can do so.
Graves
Ranged cancer matchup. Dorans shield + ignite and let him push the wave. CS much as you can and hide behind minions to avoid his autos. Since you can safely dodge his q and tank his w, use your parry for his autos. If you miss, your done
Gwen
Rush lvl 2, dont all in her lvl 1. She will win lvl 1 since her E attack speed steroid is better than your q+vital procs in a long trade. Once your lvl 2, you win every trade as long as you can parry her q.
Heimerdinger
Dorans shield. Let him push; you will NEVER outpush a heimerdinger. cs as much as possible while avoiding poke damage. You can try to parry his w or e damage. Try to make a bunch of random movements like moving side to side; this will make it harder for heimer to land his e. You can ONLY kill him with your jungler.
Illaoi
If you play aggresive and parry/dodge his spirit pull, the lane is EASY. It takes a long time for his tentacles to spawn from his passive, so make sure to kill them before you engage. If he manages to land an e, GO IN ON HIM. Parry him when tentacles land on the spirit to avoid damage. Damaging him will lower the duration of his e, so you will suffer less damage. Thats why her e is called "Test of Spirit"
Irelia
You HAVE to play aggressive or else you LOSE. You have to go all-in on her every time to dissuade her form stacking up passive stacks. Parry her e to stun her. I personally believe it's smart to flash to the side to avoid her ult, as this prevents both damage from her ult and q resets for Irelia. Again, you HAVE TO BE AGGRESSIVE OR ELSE YOU LOSE. Always go ignite for this matchup.
Jax
A skill matchup, where Jax has the upper hand. Between a full build Jax and a full build Fiora, Jax will always win. Therefore, you need to beat him in lane and win the game before he gets 4-5 items.
Jax's E duration is 2 seconds, and takes 1 second for it to active. Fiora's parry lasts 0.75 seconds. Therefore, it is EXTREMELY difficult to parry this. You have to wait at least 1.25 seconds for the E duration to play out: hold your W until 1.25 seconds pass, then get close to him and aim your W at this character model. If you don't think you can parry, you can simply q out. Always use your parry when Jax jumps on you to avoid his q+aa+w damage. It is better to parry this than his E since the former does way more damage.
Jayce
You may think you win lvl1-2 but you don't. Jayce is a lane bully, so treat him like one. Take Dorans Shield and try to cs. Sidestep as much as possible to avoid his ranged q. When he turns melee, parry when he jumps on you. It is hard to predict his e, so just parry his q jump damage. If you wish to parry his knockback, I recommend bursting as much as possible to force him to e, as good Jayces will want to hold their e as long as possible until you waste your parry.
Kayle
You will never beat lvl 16 kayle, so do your very best to shut her down early. Be aggressive and look for a vital chain trade level 1 if she gets close to you. When she q's, use q+w to avoid the slow, close the gap, and slow her down, then force a trade. Lvl 6, ult her and proc as many vitals as you can, then parry her ult at the same time as her ult hits you. When she becomes ranged, you need to either force a long trade or backoff until you can find an opening. Never look for a short trade (like a q+auto then backing off) or else she will chase you down with her ranged autos.
Kennen
A ranged bully. Dorans shield and try to cs. A good kennen will abuse his autos and force you to back off. Use the bush to your advantage. Lvl 2 take parry and try to force a good trade by parrying his aa+q combo. You have to be aggressive lvl2-3 or else he will bully you for the rest of lane. Lvl 6, just parry him when he ults. Note: when you have 2 stacks on you, use q+w to tank a shuriken and stun him. This will catch many kennen players by surprise.
Kled
You can use parry his q to stun him but good Kleds will use their e to go behind you to dodge the stun. Therefore, I recommend just using your q to dodge his q, and save the parry for his W autos, as they are the bulk of his damage. Don't try to all-in him as he dismounts, as he will easily remount with his extended trades. Instead, do not look to engage him when he dismounts, as this forces him to be a sitting duck. Avoid his buckshot so he doesn't build up his courage bar.
Lee Sin
Hide behind minions to avoid q and USE parry to block his E damage. Lee sin tops will level tempest, as it is the most noticeable part of his damage output. If you want to parry his ult, try to burst him down by hitting as many vitals as possible in short duration. This will force Lee to ult you, when in turn, you can time your parry to stun him during this moment.
Malphite
I always permaban this rock. Therefore I don't know how to play against malph. I advise you permaban him too, as you will NEVER win against him in lane nor in teamfights
Mordekaiser
Very easy matchup. Take Dorans blade. You can parry his e AND ult. If he reaches lvl 6, save your parry for his ult: you can simply q or sidestep out of his e. The only way you would lose this matchup is if you take consecutive hits from his q. To prevent this, use proper spacing by sidestepping his q: for example moving straight right THEN straight left as this will make Mord Q in the direction of your movement.
Nasus
Be hyper aggressive lvl 1 by looking for a vital chain trade. DONT EVER LET HIM STACK HIS Q. If you look for an all-in, q at him then time your parry to avoid his wither. Then he ults, simply back off, as you can wait out the duration. Note: you suffer a huge armor reduction if you stand in his e. You need to step out so you don't take huge damage from his qs.
Ornn
You can parry every ability of his, even his q. His q generates a pillar that knocks back any surrounding units once it pops up. You can stand near this and parry to stun Ornn, but only if he is in range. You can parry his E and his ult. A good Ornn will hold his W auto knockback on you, so just simply force a short trade then parry. (Being aggressive in a short trade will force Ornn to W auto you, even when they choose to hold it)
Pantheon
Stand outside of his leap range so you have time to read his jumping animation and parry his stun as soon as it hits. When he shields, simply go behind him with you're q. Once he reaches lvl 6, spam ping your team when he is missing. Dodge his q when he holds it, and try to sidestep his q when he taps it.
Poppy
A huge counter to fiora, but your usage of your parry will turn the tides of the lane in your favor. DO NOT stand in his q, as it does a lot of damage. When he has his passive ranged auto up, back off and wait for him to use it on a minion. Do not q towards him, as he can simply W you and put your q on a huge cooldown. Instead, simply walk around him and look for vitals, and wait for his W to end. You can bait his e by standing in front of a wall, then time your parry to stun him. This is hard to parry; therefore you have to be able to read his dash animation in a split second. Poppy will towerdive you when your half hp, so pray that you can parry his e.
Quinn
Like jayce, Quinn is a ranged bully, so take Dorans shield and cs much as possible before lvl 3. Once you're lvl 3, you have to be aggressive or you will lose lane. Quinn will either e you randomly if your in range OR will hold e until after you use your parry. I recommend to hold your parry when Quinn jumps on you, but you need to read her movements in order to hit this exact frame window. Spam ping your team once Quinn is lvl 6 and MIA. Push to her tower asap as it will force her to stop roaming.
Renekton
Lane bully, Dorans blade. Rush lvl 2 before him, or he wins lane priority. Once ur lvl 2, q in and immediately parry, as renekton will always try to stun you at this point. Afterwards, just look for a vital chain and force him out of lane. If he reaches lvl 2 first, simply back off since you don't win trades at this point. Simply cs as much as possible; you outscale him at 2 items.
Rengar
You dont win against him lvl1 if you go up on him in his bushes: his q gives him as steroids which wins him the trade. Simply stand outside of his bush leap range and freeze the wave near your tower. Once your lvl 3, all-in him and parry his empowered q. Rush grievous so he can't heal from your trades.
Riven
Rush in for a trade once riven either uses her 3rd q or her shield. Riven players will immediately W once your up in her face, so you can simply q+w in her direction. Once your both lvl 6, you can simply all in her after getting her down to 50% hp using short trades. Time your parry for either her 3rd q, w, or ult and you will win the fight.
Rumble
Obnoxious ranged bully. Take Dorans shield and try to cs as much as possible once your lvl 3. Dont try to parry his q since it outlasts your W duration. Instead use your parry for his e and his overheat autos: you should net a positive trade. Be aggressive lvl 3: Rumble should not have enough damage to kill you if you at least 80% HP. Use proper spacing to sidestep his e and avoid his ult.
Ryze
You can't hide behind minions since Ryze's e+q combo will reach you. Take dorans shield. You can actually aggro him lvl 1 since he cannot combo you at this point, but you have to get close to him. Hide in a bush or flank him from the side to accomplish this. You can try to parry his rune prison if he e's you, but this is hard to parry since it's instantaneous.
Sett
Rush lvl 2, but try to avoid his e by using proper spacing. You do this by making it look like you're walking in his e range, then you immediately backstep out. You win lvl 2; simply all in him and parry his autos. Don't use your q when you all in: simply walk to him and auto his vitals. When he shields, use your q to go behind him to avoid the damage. You should be able to kill him with ignite.
Shen
Don't trade when he has his shield up. You can try to predict his dash by all-inning him and w in the direction of his tower: this should hit shen. You can also save parry for his empowered q autos. Save your e when he uses his dodge circle: simply kite around him when he activates it.
Singed
Don't stand in his q and try to predict his e. Singed players will vary when they use their fling, so you just have to get used to their timings. If singed has ignite + ghost/flash: back off until lvl 2. If singed is proxy (tele/ghost), push as much as possible. Recommend rushing hydra or hullbreaker to counter his splitpush.
Sion
Sions will tend to hide in the bush and cheese you with their fully charged qs. Simply walk towards the bush but back off immediately to waste his q. Then q in and punish. Once sion raises his axe above his head, you can safely parry him to stun. BACK OFF when he has his shield up: it is extremely risky to take down his shield since he can just reactivate it to damage you. If you think sion will use the inting strat with lethality build or hullbreaker, take tele and rush hydra/hullbreaker. You need to prevent him from taking tower plates and towers in order to shut his strat down.
Sylas
His chain grab is extremely telegraphed. Use your parry in his direction ONLY if his chains are in your direction: sylas players may purposefully miss their chains in order to bait your parry. Your smart, so dont fall for their trick. Buy grievous since his w healing tricks you into thinking he is in kill range. Hug the wall if sylas copies your ult and uses it: this is a cheap tactic that many top laners use against fiora, so you can use it as well vs sylas. You can't beat sylas 1v1 if he is fed; his AP ratios are insane, so expect considerable damage if he has stacks on his dark seal.
Tahm Kench
A bane of top lane melee champs, but he is not popular top as of 12.6 since they nerfed his grey health. Let him push and avoid taking his tongue damage. Parry immediately when he applies the 3rd glutton stack on you: this cancels their devour and stuns them. His W is extremely telegraphed, simply parry and walk behind minions. Do not look for extended trades with Tahm if possible.
Vayne
Dorans shield. Cs as much as possible. Vayne players this patch will always go lethal, so avoid harass as much as possible (use bushes to avoid aas). Once you reach lvl 2, you can q+w the moment she autos to harass her. Good Vayne players will tend to auto you then q away from YOUR q, putting your dash on full cd. You can do this by simply walking up and not dashing, forcing vayne to walk back to you to auto you. When she does this, q+w her and force a vital chain trade.
Vladimir
Dorans blade. Be aggressive early. Vlad is not much of a threat early, and his autos are not as threatening as say a kennen/jayce. Back off when he has empowered q, but rush in the moment he loses it. Parry his q or e and force a trade with q+a+e1+e2+w, then back away since vlad will pool. You can kill him lvl 6, but save your parry for his ult. Grievous is a must.
Volibear
Let him push; you win lvl1 but not lvl 2 and 3. Good Volibears will q towards you but will not auto you since they want to bait your parry. The primary combo they use to burst you down is q stun + W (they cast W animation before they q stun). To prevent this, simply hold your parry for at least 1-2 seconds when they reach you. It is ultimately a mind game of whether you can hit the parry in time with his q stun. If you are low hp and Voli has ult, BACK AWAY. He will dive you and kill you by shutting down your tower with his ult. Make a short trade with him when you can, then back away. Wait for his E mark on you to go away, otherwise he will deal bonus damage AND HEAL if he gets a second one off.
Teemo
Go tenacity (mercs + tenacious rune) to have ~50 tenacity: meaning his q lasts half as long. What determines whether you win or lose a trade is whether you are able to parry his blind WHILE hitting him with the as slow + w magic damage. I would advise to rush in with q+a+e1, parry, then e2. This will force Teemo to use his blind, so this would be the perfect time to parry. Buy sweepers once he reaches 6. Note: Riot fixed a bug a few patches ago where you couldn't use q to damage his shrooms, but now you can! Use q+aa to kill a shroom, but don't q INTO the shroom or else it detonates
Trundle
Avoid fighting him (1) in his ice terrain and (2) when he has ulted you. You can try to parry his ice pillar, since it can stun him (works the same as Ornn pillar). If you are not confident doing this, parry his chomp (this prevents loss of AD AND wins you the trade). If Trundle goes lethal tempo (which they always do), only go for short trades.
Urgot
Buy dorans shield and rush lvl 2. Avoid bushes on your way to lane since Urgot might cheese you with his E grab. In lane, if you see the shield pop up on his hp bar, SIDESTEP with q. This implies that you should save your q when he does this (only use aas to cs and don't try to poke lvl 1). Once your lvl 2, all-in him with vital chain trade. You can parry his ult, but not when he does the e+ult combo since you are stun-locked during this combo. He has Jax level of scaling, so try to play safe early. (Note: good urgots will purposefully miss e to bait your parry. To prevent this, only parry if urgot is facing YOU. This requires you to have a good read on his character model at all times during laning)
Warwick
Rush grievous. Parry his q and back off when he activates e. You can parry his e stun as well, but its better to parry his bite if you want to make positive trades. DONT UNDERESTIMATE HIM WHEN HES LOW HP AS HE CAN QUICKLY HEAL IT BACK UP. Rush grievous and pray that you can kill him fast. QSS is viable to cheese his ult, if you so wish. Or you can parry his ult if you read him well.
Wukong
Monkey. Rush lvl 2 before he does. If you reach lvl 2 first, level W and ALL IN HIM (you win the trade). If he reaches lvl 2 first, back off (his q + e attack speed steroid overpowers your dueling potential). The best time to use parry is when he e's you then q's you. Wu will back off with his clone after you parry. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HIM LVL 6. He can easily all-in you and kill you even if you have ~80% hp. You have to parry whenever he jumps you to avoid this.
Yasuo
A good yasuo will always beat a fiora. They can outplay your parry either by using windwall to block it (yes it can be blocked) or dashing away to a nearby minion to avoid it. You have the damage to kill him, but you need to sidestep a lot to avoid his q poke. This matchup is a great test on how well you can space around yasuo. ALWAYs parry if he tornados you or E+Q you; you don't want to get ulted by him. After this, burst him down with your ult, as Yasuo needs to get 2 more q's in to get his tornado in order to ult.
Yone
A bit more manageable than his sibling since he can't dash like crazy. You can parry his 3rd q, but good Yone's will use their E to sidestep your parry. Don't be afraid to extend trades, as you can outdamage him if you hit all your vitals correctly. When he ults you, parry BEHIND YOU (this is where yone will appear). If he E's from a distance and tries to trade with you, you HAVE to trade back WHILE walking towards his red spirit. You can kill him more consistently than a Yasuo, but do not underestimate both of them.
Yorick
Sidestep or use q to dodge his E (you can parry this to, but not advisable). You would want to parry his q damage. Force an extended trade with Yorick once you parried his q or dodge his e. Once he reaches lvl 6, back away. You need to kill the Maiden before you can engage on Yorick. The only time when you can engage Yorick when he has maiden up is IF he just recently missed his E (this prevents his ghouls from aggroing you)
Yuumi
honestly, who cares about synergies. You only came here for fiora's lane matchups, not whether she can synergize with other champs.

Hey my IG is MorgottTheKing (main) and MargitTheFell (2nd account whenever I have to dodge on my main). I played Fiora for 3 seasons and just recently reached Masters on both of my accounts (my peak LP is 216 on my 2nd account). Therefore, I play versus the best top laners in NA (not Challenger/GM level but soon :D) and will confidently show you how to play against every top lane champ. I'll also show you Fiora's champ mechanics/combos, as well as general lane mechanics. Most importantly, I'll show you how to AVOID JG GANKS.
PLEASE NOTE WIP
This guide is a work in progress. I have already published my build, runes, and general guidelines to every toplane matchup. I will continue to expand the guide to include more stuff, so come back to see my newest updates. This guide should be done by first week of April 2022.
This Guide.....
Unlike other guides on this website, I will NOT go over the usual stuff like pros/cons , all possible runes/items, etc, and general info on abilities. I am assuming you are already familiar with Fiora and want to expand on your knowledge on build order, lane matchups, and macro/mid-game gameplay. I'll show you the runes/builds I always pick according to the matchup, and will not elaborate on other items that aren't in my builds so you don't have to waste time reading long paragraphs like this one. I'll try to be brief and concise for the rest of the guide. I hope you learn a thing or too out of this :D
Skill order
>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>
I recommend leveling W max 2nd over E max 2nd since you lower its cd by a lot more (increments of 2 sec) and more ap damage, which is noticeable midgame. Leveling E max second only affects its crit damage and attack speed by increments of 10%, so I would level this last. The more you can parry in a drawn out fight, the higher the chance that you can win it.
Itemization
> > > >
Duelist
This is what I think is Fiora's best item path. Your playstyle is to poke vitals with divine, which nets you insane healing. Combination of divine + Botrk allows you to 1v1 every champ in the game. Rush DD or wits as 3rd item depending on enemy team comp. Applies to boots as well.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
> > > >
Standard
Standard/most popular build for Fiora. What advantage this has over the above build is that it gives more ad for two items (125 AD vs 80 AD), gives you ability to proc vitals faster, and more ability haste. However, I'd rather go with divine+botrk sinze it fits my playstyle (poke poke poke then all-in). Feel free to try both build paths and see what you lean towards.
Split
If you want to split all game and never group, get these! Hullbreaker for tower smashing, divine for dueling, ravenous for wave clear, and the other items for defence.
Never Back, Powerfarm
A build that I'm limit testing in masters but seems to work out fine. Ravenous + essence reaver allows you to waveclear and farm as much as you want WITHOUT EVER HAVING TO RECALL. You get to split and clear enemy jg (krugs, raptors, wolves, and buffs occasionally) to build up a massive gold lead. Dueling potential is fine, but downside is that you don't have a lot of hp until you build gore 3rd.
Runes
Conqueror Runes Conqueror The AD stacking allow you to continue to prolong trades, and is essential for all-inning someone Triumph The % missing health healing determines whether you live or die after you got a kill Legend: Tenacity Get this if enemy team has cc. If they don't, get Legend: Alacrity Coup de Grace allows you to finish them off faster Bone Plating lets you net more positive trades. I would not get Second Wind since the healing is not noticeable. I rather block some damage than get some wimpy healing. But feel free to get Second Wind versus dot champs Overgrowth best resolve rune in the game. Note that that there is no CAP for hp stacking. Treat it like sion's w passive. Should net an average of 200 additional hp per game.
Grasp runes Grasp of the Undying your playstyle is to q-poke asap whenever you have this up. You don't have to q for vitals but its a plus if they're facing you. You won't have a chance to stack this mid/late game, so go ham early. Should net an average of 40 procs (200 additional hp) per game Demolish good for early plates Bone Plating see above Overgrowth see above Triumph see above Legend: Tenacity see above
Lunge -> AA
Standard way to poke. You use q on the enemy at the MAX RANGE of your auto attack range, then immediately auto then back off. Don't do this if your enemy is Darius or Sett as they will pull you in
Lunge -> AA -> Bladework1 -> Bladework2
Standard trade for a chunk of their hp. You have to let Fiora auto before you activate E or else you'll lose out on a free auto.
Lunge -> AA -> Bladework1 -> Riposte -> Bladework2
Use this if the enemy is holding a cc ability. After your first E, parry immediately, since this is usually the moment they cc you. Will not work all the time since players tend to cc you immediately or hold it indefinitely. Either way, you will still chunk their health.
Note that these combos are only for TRADES, and not ALL-INS. If you want to all-in, you have to weave in some spacing that positions you to hit the vitals on the enemy, using each ability to proc them if possible. For all-ins, see next section
If you have gore/stride Grand Challenge -> Riposte -> AA -> Flash + Bladework1 -> Lunge -> Goredrinker -> Bladework2
This is faster than the first combo because you can activate gore faster than you can land your Bladework2. Use practice tool and test this combo on a dummy. Note: its difficult to pull this off since (1) you need all of your abilities to be off cd and (2) you have to get close to the enemy WITHOUT using q to close the gap. Therefore, you can safely do this combo if you hide in a bush and wait for them to enter.
How to initiate a vital chain
Vital chain means that without your ult, you consecutively proc your vitals by maneuvaring around the enemy champ. Vitals are pseudo-random, but there are four spawn points similar to cardinal directions: North, South, West, East.
GENERAL RULE: there are two main sides you want to account for: North-East (NE) and South-West (SW). If you hit a vital on the NE side, the next vital will spawn either S or W, so you need to move SW of the enemy champ. Vice-versa: if you hit a vital on the SW side, you move to the NE side of the enemy then move to where the vital is to proc it.
Being familiar with this rule will allow you to consistenly proc your vitals in a chain during an extended trade. Do not try this if the enemy champ can (1) out-trade you or (2) if near enemy tower. You have to get more familiar with your match-ups to determine whether you can safely initate a vital chain. I'll upload a vid of how this works and update the guide to further elaborate on lane matchups.
Note: you can proc your vitals before the full-animation of them popping up on the enemy champ can finish. This requires deliberate timing, since you might auto the specific side with the vital appearing but fail to proc the vital.
