Champion Build Guide

Ultimate Yasuo Mid/Top - Guide season 11

By VuKing
Pros and Cons

Pros

Huge team fight potential
Combo synergy with champions that have a knock up ability
Can burst damage to less durable enemies while having great sustain against tank champions.
Extremely maneuverable when using the E skill
Playing around the W-Wind Wall can allow him to completely dismantle ranged enemy matchups
He becomes extremely strong due to his Ultimate R-Last Breath crowd control as well the bonus armor penetration he gets upon using it. Combined with his item powerspikes, it makes him a force to be reckoned with, even if he is behind in lane.

Cons

Although a power house, he is very squishy and can easily be burst down if he happens to mis-step. This can happen quite a lot if he is pushing the sidelanes, and overextends.
Very weak early and susceptible to enemy junglers.
Crowd control will make him an easy target without mobility.
Attack damage mid laner, so your team will need an ability power jungler or top laner.
Improper usage of his W-Wind Wall can get him killed in the lane. This is especially true against ranged matchups. The alternative is to back off, which allows the enemy to just zone Yasuo off the wave.
Skill

PASSIVE ABILITY
WAY OF THE WANDERER
Yasuo doubles his total critical strike chance from all other sources, but his critical strikes deal reduced damage.
Yasuo also gains flow for moving around on the map. At 100 stacks of flow, and upon taking damage from enemy units, Yasuo consumes all the flow stacks to shield himself.

Q
STEEL TEMPEST
Thrusts his sword in the target direction, dealing physical damage to enemies hit. This ability can critically strike. If this ability hits an enemy, Yasuo gains a Gathering Storm stack for 6 seconds. On gaining two stacks of Gathering Storm, this ability consumes all the stack to unleash a whirlwind that travels in the target direction, which deals the same damage and knocks up all enemies hit for a second.

W
WIND WALL
Creates a wall of wind in the target direction which slowly drifts forward and blocks all hostile non-turret projectiles that attempt to pass through it.
Refrain from using your Windwall W - Wind Wall unless you need to use it. You never know when it will come in handy to protect you from incoming ganks or global R - Last Breath s.

E
SWEEPING BLADE
Dashes a fixed distance toward the target enemy unit, dealing magic damage to them. Yasuo cannot dash to the same target more than once every few seconds.
Weave through the minion wave with your E - Sweeping Blade while always leaving at least 1 minion untouched so you can get out after trading

R
LAST BREATH
Blinks to a knocked up enemy and holds them airborne while generating maximum flow and dealing physical damage. For the next 15 seconds, Yasuo's critical strikes gain 50% bonus armor penetration.
Wait for the optimal time to use your R - Last Breath. Don’t just engage whenever anyone gets knocked up as you might be going in 1v5.
Runes
+
+ 81,88% Pick rate
+ 47.90% Win rate

- Lethal Tempo is one of the strongest Runes of this preseason. The bonus attack speed and the removal of the attack speed limit will make tank champions cry
- Bone Plating provides the most early game survivability for Yasuo against all-ins and extended trades

+
+ 8,03% Pick rate
+ 46.20% Win rate

- Lethal Tempo is one of the strongest Runes of this preseason. The bonus attack speed and the removal of the attack speed limit will make tank champions cry
- Ravenous Hunter provides ability healing, a unique sustain option for Yasuo.
- Taste of Blood is a strong Yasuo rune because it offers valuable sustain, especially early on.

Summoner Spells

]

Summoner Spells
Always
Flash is a summoner spell in every match of Yasuo, will help you secure kills, escape, pull off combos, and a lot more
Favorite
Ignite you can have more of a kill pressure on lane, its cooldown is pretty low. It gives you a lot of advantage in 1v1 teamfights, giving you an advantage very early in the game
Situational
You can replace scorching with Exhaut, even when going with a Mage you should also leave this spell, because Steel Tempest - Q has a very fast cooldown, the enemy is slow 30% and reducing damage by 40% for 3s will help the enemy take a lot of damage
Cleanse against Cassiopeia, Zoe, Ahri, Lux , Morgana,... Cleanse gets even more valuable the more enemy champions have hard cc so look out for that when deciding if it's really worth to give up the damage Ignite gives you.
