Yeah I see what you mean. I will try out out the C4Ds and dabble a little in the Blending. I want to find my own style of doing these that looks good and can be identified as my work

wish someone told me this when i first started making sigs, you should consider yourself lucky this community is full of enthusiastic sig makers ^ ^
and what he said is quite true. and dont overkill the sig with color. dont make the text hard to read. and deviantart has a lot of cool tuts, might wanna check those out :P
