3 tips:
Make a 1px border on every sig. It just looks better = )
When you make a sig look at it and let your eyes wander. You'll notice there's always a spot on the sig that attracts your attention, that's the focus point. Make sure it is where you want it, and not on the background.
The text should always be easy to read.
And there's no need to wait for requests. Just make random sigs and give them to whoever wants them. Some may go unused but you'll get to practise.
