Tomorrow, on Thursday May 7th, the 2015 Mid Season Invitational begins. Participating are the top teams from each league, including the wildcard winners.

Who do you think will win the MSI? MVP of the tournament? Biggest upset? Most contested pick/picks? Favorite groupstage match? Biggest X-Factor? Biggest disappointment? Which two teams won't make it past groups?

I favor SKT over EDG here, simply because EDG being more of a late game team, while SKT has superior dragon control and the stronger early game. And if it goes ultra late, never forget Easyhoon on Ziggs.

I don't know. Every player on SKT or EDG could possibly earn the MVP title, especially with how good every single one of them is.

I'm not sure. Maybe TSM not making top 4, or our beloved wildcard playing spoilers. Never forget Kabum.

Definitely Sejuani. She's been a top pick since 5.5, and will continue to be it here. Jinx, Sivir, Maokai are also up there among others.

I think any match with Beşiktaş will be great. Will it be chaos? Will they get styled on? Or will they once again ruin the dream of one of the teams?

AHQ is by far the biggest X-Factor. If they bring their A-Game they could more than likely beat anybody in a best of 1, even SKT if they run away with a lead.

I think Fnatic and TSM will disappoint. Both will showcase obvious flaws, especially if they make it past groups, considering the lack of challenge for TSM in NA and how close Fnatic got to losing twice in EU. Fnatic are more likely to disappoint, with their bland ad carry and lack of international experience.

Obviously Beşiktaş won't make it. If they do it would possibly be the biggest upset in League history. Fnatic I think won't make it either. Give them another split, now with Rekkles, and they might make a splash at Worlds.

This tournament could be really interesting, or it will be the same as always. The Korean and Chinese teams make it to the finals. At least this time it might be a full series. Anyone got thoughts of their own?

Going make a bold call....

1. SKT1
2. TSM
3. EDG

NA will finally do well in an international event but to bad tsm is mostly made up of eu and korea talent you have dyrus who is a consistent player but will never carry a game so its all on eu and korea players.

As for SKT1 vs TSM dont think tsm has a good chance but it might be possible for tsm to win i say 75% chance skt1 win but even 25% is alot better than tsm has ever had at winning.

If you look at the tsm vs skt1 match up there almost the same team besides skt1 having better players.

Both teams focus on mid lane but marin can also be a carry where dyrus cant he is just a tank player. On top of that you have skt1 having the best mid in the world faker how can tsm win with bjergsen in this case it works in na but its different when the enemy has the better mid laner. I think against easyhoon he might be able to carry but i think it would be close faker he would need the series of his carrier to carry tsm.

Marin vs Dyrus : Marin wins
Faker vs Bjergsen: Faker wins
Santorin vs Bengi. Bengi should win/ do better he is a vet player vs rookie
Wildturtle vs Bang: Bang wins he is actually similar to wild turtle his mid laner gets all focus so he can look really good in games as team's will ignore him and try to kill faker difference is he is better and does not do random flashes and getting caught out by the enemy team.
Wolf vs Lustboy: .... im actually going to say lustboy maybe im over hyped on lustbuy since hes in na and not the challenge or korea and the players there but i think he can carry and make more plays than wolf also wolf seems to get caught out alot.

So tsm has one winning match up so i dont see how they win this series if they are against skt1.

TSM could possibly take a game off EDG, but not more. I favor AHQ, and I feel like they can compete with the other Asian teams present, especially EDG in this case. EDG is again, like their 2014 lineup, more of a late game team, something they are godly at, but they need to improve their earlygame vastly or SKT might steamroll them and AHQ snag a win or two.

Ironically I've never been so not-hyped for a tournament before. Guess I really am starting to get old and salty.

Jokes aside, it's definitely going to be a good tournament and top-4 is going to be really close. Mostly looking forward to EDG vs SKT and TSM vs Fnatic. Overall I think Korea is a lot weaker than it used to be so I'll give EU/NA a decent chance to at least upset them once. I don't think either is going to win a best-of-5 against one of those teams though.

AHQ competing with EDG? What have you been smoking? I really need some of that.

AHQ can perhaps upset once or twice but by no means pull off a close best-of-5.

I think tsm will win vs EDG maybe ill look like an idiot soon but i think bjergsen vs pawn is 50/50 even match up and it will depend on team play.

Hehe. I only recently started following this whole competitive ****, so I'm pretty excited to see SKT match up against teams I've actually been paying some attention to.

Korea might be weaker, but I'm not forgetting how SKT sweeped Allstars last year even at their worst. Their roster is arguably stronger now than it was back then, so I'm half expecting, half hoping for SKT to keep up their dominance over the western teams. :3

Korea might be weaker but there still the strongest team...

The other teams has what a 5-10% chance of a win vs teams like skt1 and samsung white now i say its more 20-25% still ods on side of korea.

At that point Korea was still very far ahead of EU/NA in general. SKT was a mid-tier Korean team back then and EU was probably the weakest they ever were (and C9 played with a sub). In the meanwhile, Europe and NA (especially TSM) really showed up and improved their gameplay.

Purely looking at the gameplay, Korea one year ago was just so much better. SKT1 S (which was a mid-tier team last season) just 3-0'd the team that swept the spring split itself which IMO says a lot about how the power has shifted towards China and this gave the other regions some time to catch up. If I were to make a bet, I'd put my money on EDG for #1, SKT #2, TSM #3.

I see no reason to believe that Korea is still ahead. The #3 from Korea last year couldn't impress AT ALL and actually got beat massively by C9 and Alliance on some occasions. All the talent from #1/#2 in Korea went to China and now there's what, a mid tier Korean team with Faker? I'd much rather have EDG with Deft and Pawn.
