Hey! Is there any plan to update this for the upcoming item changes? I love this guide and i'd hate to see it die with next patch

Hi, glad you enjoyed the guide :) I am working on updating it in the coming weeks. Some builds are badly damaged, I need to check if they can be fixed.

Any changes to the main builds (first 3, On-Hit, Crit, and AP)?

I want to get back to ADC Bard :)
Celestial Artillerist still feels amazing, I replaced Wits End with Terminus. Crit build feels... off? Like I have less damage than before, but I cant put my finger on why...

There are changes for all builds. For Celestial Artillerist, Wits End is still good, but it will move up a few places in the build path because Terminus is effectively broken (it will replace BOTRK instead). The crit build needs to be reworked as the items that were strong last season are no longer the best on Bard, but it will provide a good amount of damage output.

In the next few days i will update all the builds and links to the downloadable builds. updating the text sections on the other hand will take a few weeks, hopefully not months but I'm working on my dissertation, be compensatory <3.

Hi Achromis! Thank you for the compliments. Unfortunately, I’ve stopped playing League. After 8 years, I found myself playing without enjoying it, so this guide is, sadly, no longer updated.

That said, it doesn't mean these builds are useless. Some are definitely still viable, but more importantly, take inspiration from the concepts behind them and make them your own. My favorite build is the Divine Vigilante because it came from my creativity and the desire to keep experimenting. Experiment, find a stat, rune, or item that can be enhanced and trigger other effects, and come up with your own creative build. Have fun!

Bro, all jokes aside, this is easily the best Bard guide ive ever followed. My favoirte is Timless Traveler so far. I thought this was just blah blah damage blah meeps. Thank you for this👏. Hardly used spellbook till now, for Bard its my go to support rune. Made this account just too thank you lol.

Can only hope but im sure the others are good as well just not used to soloing with bard but gonna try now.

I suggest you to start as botlane carry. Explosive Warden and Cosmic Wizard grants lots of output damage, focus on lasthitting properly, never feed and consider using tp to optimize recall timers (hard to manage due to Bard's low push ability in early game). Wait until you have enough items and meeps to deal damage

Lol yea realized that after my 1st mid bard against a Zed, suffice to say was not pleasant but just part of the learning curve😅. Ill be sure to keep this in mind. But worse case scenario ill just support until I fully understand what im capable of with bard 〰️😮📯🎶🪙

I planned to republish this guide with s13 adjustments within a month and a half, it should be available again by March

Lets go poggers, btw I would recommend a build with heartsteal it was supper op with grasp. AND you for sure need to make a W buid aka SOUP!

I have two new builds ready to add to the guide! For the heartsteal... you could add it to the tanky build (Gentle Giant), but I think that it's a bit useless on Bard, frozen heart works much better with your kit.

Just had my first match ever with Bard... It was so hard, but I am hopeful in time I will learn how to play him properly. I will keep following your guide :)

I'm still a little confused on why rush botrk instead of kraken, could you explain more on that? Like is this the standard for every game or are there games you should build kraken first?

It depends on where you’re playing and how the game’s going. If you are playing ADC, you should start 90% of the time with Kraken: you need Noonquiver to farm and get damage. If you are in a solo lane, I advise you to take BOTRK first item because it gives you lifesteal and a passive effect extremely useful to trade, Kraken gives you more damage but gives up the trading power. Basically it depends on your playstyle, if you want to fight your enemy head on, take BOTRK; if you want to farm for the lategame, take Kraken.

Actually, new items have weakened the troll builds on Bard; AP Bard is, in my opinion, the one that has lost the most, the AD one suffers a lot from the lack of Statikk. Thanks for your interest and let me know how it goes with the new build!

this is an extremely high elo guide -high elo player

It is not necessary to be high elo to play these builds; indeed, in lower elos players may tend to underestimate the power of these builds. What is actually required of high level is individual skill with Bard; one can rarely get results with the more difficult builds to execute without having a good knowledge of the champion
