Sometimes there is a glitch in the augments. You can choose 1 gold or 2 silvers. Assuming the augments themselves are good, which is stronger? 1 gold or 2 silvers?

Depends. Golds are great, but you could find yourself landing on two high value silvers that mesh perfectly with the comp you're currently running. I'd always go gold.

You're welcome! It definitely is a bit overwhelming in terms of power spike. As per usual, it's in need of a few toned down elements. PBE was a bit wild. New hacking mechanic is cool.

I dont have a PBE account. At the end of the season I am generally in a race against the clock to finish the pass on my main account. I dont want to miss out on the free loot. I always feel like I am 3 points down already because i didnt play PBE. I generally go on a massive lose spree when the new set hits.

That's essentially how they keep you hooked on games. Fear of missing out. It does a lot of bad things to your mental health. Shouldn't push for it too hard. PBE is designed mostly for people to abuse bugs, before they get patched and launched onto the public release. You're not missing out on a whole lot, besides a head start really.

Well, I guess it is working. I dont really play ranked anyway, so I dont mind about not having a headstart. I generally catch up quite fast. That being said, this set the champions are quite difficult to recognise

A pretty common thing with shifts, but yeah, I get that. The units are more of a reprint of prior sets, in a good-ish way.

There are always bugs and balance issues at the start of a new set. But I love the new set so far!

There are numerous significant issues on the PBE that render it unplayable, particularly Pick of the Litter, which consistently gives you two units when purchased from the shop until the next augment choice. I don't particularly like this new set. It definitely feels poorer in quality than Remix.

Pick of the Litter, is an encounter that isn't working properly (Champion Encounter) it's suppose to be once, but continues until the augment choice. Which depending on randomization will be 1 or 10 or more fights. I don't find it to be that visually pleasing. A few units maybe, but the overall quality just feels re-used (Challenger Icon, Ricochet bounces, etc)

Well it is getting harder and harder to think of new things. Do you feel like there are more bugs for this new set than previous ones?

The game is completely non-functional, as it fails to properly execute essential functions such as carousel choices, camera angles, loot distribution, and item and unit duplication.

Additionally, players are able to reach level 10 within an unusually short time frame of 3-5 stages. The final release should undergo thorough polishing, as it now contains an exceptionally large number of bugs, surpassing any I have ever encountered before.

The fact that they're re-releasing previous sets demonstrates how out of ideas they are. The same champions appear with the same ultimate abilities from a few sets ago, but under a new trait or an old trait returning with a new style of effect behind it.

It's simply unfortunate because they expressly pulled out of Riot Forge and other development to reinvest all of their resources on League, TFT, and their future fighting game, where Riot Forge was doing excellent work!

Nice update for set 10, I love it!! What do you think of the new set so far?

In addition to the evident prevalence of meta-slaving and the existence of specific excessively dominant builds for tier 1 and 2 units making fast 8 less effective (I find), the current state of the game aligns precisely with my initial perception.

I am inclined to appreciate Heartsteel due to its Underground feel, which is one of my preferred teams from earlier sets. However, its ability to endure is severely lacking unless all of them are upgraded to level 2 right from the beginning, with the aid of PvE and the carousel, along with favorable items to ensure early survival and progression into the late game.

I don't tend to play HS unless it's a first opener with Hearthrobs now, can't really say I feel much of a difference :P

Personally, I believe it is simply too overwhelming, much like previous sets such as Zyra / Annie mage spam. Many people are spamming Urf and merely rolling for traits to acquire Noxius, Bilge, or Demacia builds, particularly sorcerer. It's almost worthless to try anything that isn't "meta".

Yeah the emblems are extremely strong, same as the previous set with Gwen sadly. I bet set 10 will be epic though!

It's possible, but it's also possible that they'll revert to Set 2 shenanigans or Zyra / Annie mechanics and just become a more unfun meta slave.

For the sake of not being disappointed when things really happen, I maintain my expectations at a fairly acceptable level of excitement. Permanent level 10 sounds amazing, and the lack of Legends makes it more controllable overall, but it's a little too RNG. Then there are compositions, any item changes. We can hope, but at the end of the day, problems will arise.

This entire set was controlled by Bilge Water, which was subsequently "nerfed" and significantly buffed again, making it incredibly controllable by taking Urf for an almost certain x9.

I am trying really hard to not get my hopes up too high. As you can see, I am failing miserably. I like the portals from this set. Legends was a good idea, but proved too hard to balance.

There is always going to be something that is really strong, but i dont like it when it is OP the entire set. It is more fun if you have to figure out new comps after every patch.

The first week or so is dedicated to finding the most OP strategies, and then others arise when those aren't as strong or when someone finds an exploit really :p

Sadly some sets, the same thing is OP the entire set though. Other comps come and go, but that one comp is strong, or even broken, the entire time. I dont like that

Yep. I miss Set 1. It wasn't really broken, every build had a counter. So it was mostly repositioning and using them to counter other comps.

Ooooh, I spammed the frozen comp. With olaf i think?? It was broken the entire set, but back then i didnt mind that yet, since i was still learning the basics.

Frozen Heart x2 on Pyke made it so units hit by it would be frozen with 0.1% attack speed :p

Great guide! Maybe remind people of the importance of slamming items. Waiting for BIS will often tank your HP. I personally find it a good guideline to try and never have more than 4 components on the bench.

TFT is an overly simple game to understand. The hard part is the RNG portion, which forces you to have to change up strategies when things aren't going the way you wanted them to.
