Is it okay to swap out manaflow band for nimbus cloak? imo it feels and does better than manaflow

Ori is very mana hungry because of low cooldown abilities so I wouldn't recommend it personally

Awesome guide! Just a few things little outdated for the current patch: Sorcs + Ludens + Morello isn't usually combined anymore for a power-spike. Would Archangel's Staff be better instead of Morellos as second item?

Do you mean the morellonomicon item description? It says to only buy that against heavy healing champs. If possible you want lucidity boots every game where you don't need the tenacity and magic resistance from mercs, or the flat pen from sorc shoes. Flat magic pen is only good against squishy champions

This is a really great guide! I finally got the guts to play Orianna from it. Is there any trick you use to keep track of where the ball is or is it kind of a second instinct when you play her a lot? Also, what do you think of Ori support?

It's something that comes from actively focusing on it at the start, until you just get used to it. You have to keep track of 2 different things when playing Orianna, so it will be a bit difficult in the start, especially during teamfights. Even experienced Ori players sometimes lose track of the ball in chaotic fights.

Orianna support is decent and playable but there are of course much better alternatives. She performs the best as a mid laner :)

This was an amazing guide! I played for the first time and did very well against ! Everything was very informative and helped so much! But when would you use inspiration secondary? Also .

Nice! You can use inspiration secondary and against melee champions since you will be starting with the anyway. Gives you a stronger laning phase so you can play more aggressive.

Personally i'm using on most mages but is for more utility. You will be able to start with and still adapt to the enemy team with different summoners, so it's more versatile. It can be used in any game no matter what teamcomp, but again i always prefer over because it covers her weakness.

I have a question regarding the secondary runes: why is Ultimate Hunter not an interesting pick? At 5 stacks (fairly easy to reach with Ori), that is a 25% reduction to ultimate, from 80 to 60 seconds (not counting any other CDR). Is the sustain really that much more important?
Same question for Eyeball collection, which at full stack is 30AP (a value of almost 850 gold).

It's a decent rune, BUT.. Orianna's ultimate isn't something you use on cooldown. You always wait for the right moment before you pop the ult, so even if you get a % reduction, it's never a guarantee that you can make fully use of it. If you don't need the mid-lategame sustain at all, then ultimate hunter is good yeah.

Let's say you get poked down to 20% hp before baron spawns. With ravenous hunter you can go to a jungle camp or minion wave and heal up, so you're not forced to recall and potentially give away objectives

each guide i read just advances in aesthetics and composition ;o;
sooo much information! im trying my best to learn every little detail about ori until i take her into ranked. her buff this patch especially really takes her to a whole new level.

Yeah she got a pretty good buff to her signature ability. I hope you find everything you need, and good luck with her! She's always a good pick midlane no matter which meta you're in :)
