Sure, in the LoL Client go to your profile and then Champions. In the Primary Role bar, select Mage and voila :)

That doesn't super work since champions like
Elise are in there. And some popular midlaners like LeBlanc and Nidalee aren't.There's also no real AP Marksmen other than
Teemo, but he's not really a popular midlaner.

I was lazy first, I have a guide up with a nice list of all mages:
Ahri, Akali, Anivia, Annie, Brand, Cassiopeia, Diana, Fiddlesticks, Fizz, Gragas, Heimerdinger, Karthus, Kassadin, Katarina, Kennen, LeBlanc, Lissandra, Lux, Malzahar, Mordekaiser, Morgana, Orianna, Ryze, Sion, Swain, Syndra, Twisted Fate, Veigar, Vel'Koz, Viktor, Vladimir, Xerath, Ziggs, Zilean and Zyra.Not all of them are equally viable but they're all playable in mid lane as mage.

The strongest ranged mid lanes in the current META are:
LeBlanc who is an extremely mobile, bursty single target assassin.
Lissandra who has amazing lockdown and utility focus with less burst damage.
Orianna who is another utility mage with a game changing ultimate.
Syndra who in my opinion is one of the strongest mid-laners with high burst, poke, and crowd control.
Lux is less popular at high elo but is one of the safest mid-laners with a really long range.
Xerath has the longest range in the game as a mage with his kit.
Ziggs is a poke champ who pretty much bullies everyone out of lane with his range and constant poke.
As for adc:
Caitlyn has the longest base range without passives or skills. She is known as a very safe adc and lane bully who pokes and pokes and pokes.
Jinx is very popular and has amazing snowballing/high damage and outranges Caitlyn mid-game. She doesn't have an escape mechanism though so she's less safe.
Twitch is an amazingly strong adc with one of the best ults as an adc in the game. He does true damage and has amazing assassination potential as an adc with stealth.
Lucian has high damage and high mobility, overall strong adc.
Sivir has an abysmal range but is very safe with her ult and can block enemy spells/crowd control.
Vayne sucks in lane but is one of the scariest mobile adcs with insane late game damage.
Other honorable mentions are Ezreal, Graves, Varus, and Corki.
All adcs are viable really with maybe the exception of Quinn. Ashe is very shaky and relies heavily on her team comp.
