Stay in the bushes and try to get your 2 spells of then run back in. If someone is low, use your passive to get near them and kill them. I don't really play ARAM so that's all i got.

You can definitely make use of your passive, especially after major engagements and after a tower or two are down. Sneak up, burst down then back away giggling.
As for her range, wait for someone to engage, even if it's a soft one, burst and retreat. Just don't go in first, unless you're certain you'll kill everyone involved.
Always try to build some sort of sustain.

You can keep your distance and still burst people down, just time yourself right. Furthermore, she's pretty easy to suicide with once you got a good amount of gold.
Go for a build that gives you burst and one or two good survivability items. Examples would be Deathfire Grasp, Rabadon's Deathcap, Void Staff, Haunting Guise (and it's evolution) for burst and Zhonya's Hourglass, Rylai's Crystal Scepter and/or Abyssal Mask. Deathfire is a good option only if you have been able to reach squishy targets easily.
As for starting items, I usually go tome + life crystal + boots + pots.

I would honestly build her tanky because you have to be in melee range and if you get blown up.
I would honestly just go for Liandry's Torment and 1 magic pentration item if you want damage.
After those items i would go full tank because Evelynn is a squishy melee and if you build damage on her you will get blown up instantly and you won't get to be able to use any of that damage.

^ Evelynn has indeed a hard time in ARAM, especially because her stealth doen't work like Twitch's anymore. Also, i rock LB in ARAM, she has bad win rate bc people suck at her.
I am now a bit into triple Doran's Ring start for most APC's, and I did that with Evelynn as well. Mana Regen overkill, honestly. However, Haunting Guise into Zhonya's Hourglass or Abyssal Mask or even Rylai's Crystal Scepter is perfectly ok, imo. Just make sure you aren't the one engaging and go after whoever deals damage in the enemy team.

I don't even know how much gold you start with on ARAM like 1375?
You could buy
Amplifying Tomex2 and a Ruby Crystal for like roughly as much gold, get more stats out of it, and more components for future items.Mana regen is a waste on eve because of her passive stealth

And I recently got her in aram, built her squishy and did pretty good. You have to play her like you would in a normal game teamfight, you're not supposed to W into the team like a maniac and die, that's for dumb jax players.
There's enough space and enough half-dead backliners for you to have fun with. Of course if you're facing a really beefy team then sure, beef up, but I probs wouldn't even go ap eve versus those @one of the few who plays her AD bruiser now and then
