Views: 6139 Best Supports for Kalista?

Through MUCH (And I mean A LOT) of trial and Error. I think I found some of the best supports that go well w/Kalista. Since before Kalista even came out, I've been reading up on her. A pure ADC? Who can toss people and share Gold without a Relic Shield? People who read her, who bought her, have almost ALWAYS had a Leona with them. But I like to experiment.
Buddy of mine got her, and the very 1st Support I did? Nami. Needless to say that idea didn't work out very well. So, we went down the list. The best choices I've found? Alister, Braum, Volibear (I know, he's not a support but he has a nice slow), Maokai, and Leona. Granted I don't have ALL the Supports, but I have a majority and I've played w/other possible Champs who can fill the role. All the Supports I picked? Tanks.
The really good ones have a sustain in lane. Be it Life Steal, HP Regen, or Spell Vamp naturally built into them. ('Cept Leona and Braum, they're just REALLY good.) This is even before you buy any items for them. When you do tho, combined with Kalista's W (I've been told even without a Relic Shield both Sworns will get the Gold), it gets into a REALLY good lane. But does have some problems with Supports running out of Mana early in the game. Especially if you both are trying to be High Aggro.
Also Kalista, and depending on her Support, might have problems against a high Aggro lane. Vayne, Heim, (Sometimes Lucian) and Twitch. Also extremely pokey lanes like Ashe/Sona also hurt and will keep you hugging towers until Kalista gets ahead. With Kalista, always build into what you're laning against first, then after that, adjust to the enemy team. Also it's ALWAYS a good idea to build into a Randuin's Omen. It's active WILL save you and your ADC if her R isn't up. That and it's just a nice item to have.

Then there's this thing. When you know the enemy ADC has no flash, and you're playing Kalista + Janna, and they're at your tower; you ult Janna and she places herself behind the enemy ADC and you ult them into the tower. Should be any easy kill and most of the time nobody sees it coming. Can do something similar with Alistair and headbutt.
