New Item: Hexdrinker
o Long Sword + Long Sword + Null-Magic Mantle + 570 gold. Total cost is 1800 gold
o +35 Attack Damage
o +30 Magic Resistance
o UNIQUE Passive: If you would take Magic Damage which would leave you at less than 30% of your Maximum Health, you first gain a shield which absorbs 300 Magic Damage for 4 seconds. 45 second cooldown.
ok so now that thats here.
those people who are haters just play mages all the time, up to this point there was no item that benefitted physical damage and magic resist. i'd say yes the 45 seconds might be a little short but i would be fine with a minute.
also, there was news of this out a long time ago, i think there was also supposed to be an upgrade for it called the rune-gorger.

Hey anyone that cant find a way to get around that will QQ. Mage players will have to find a way around that. I mean this will kinda make Mpen more useful. I mean tanks will love this... I mean you put that on a tank with Randuin's Omen and you got some trouble. I mean this will be OP till people find a way to get around it

Are we talking about the theoretical runegorger item or the actual hexdrinker item?
I don't think the hexdrinker is that powerful. 300 magic damage shield would usually block maybe 75%-100% of a spell's damage at mid game, I imagine. And it doesn't stop CC effects so mages can still stun/slow and then blast through that shield and kill their target

To me it seems to be strong, efficient, cheap item early to mid game, but becomes a waste of an item slot at end game. The only thing that kind of annoys me about it is that the 45 sec CD is kind of short.
