Champion Build Guide

Introduction

Hello, A Literal Piece of Wood here and welcome to my guide on Brand, The Burning Vengeance! I have been playing the game since season 9 and I've played Brand since the last season. I have played over 200 hundred games with Brand so while I'm not the best Brand player, I am familiar enough with him to know his strengths, weaknesses, combos, and some threats to him. With the introduction of his re-work and season 11, the meta has definitely changed in both the role of Support, as well as Midlane. While I know he was originally a Midlaner and it seems like he may make a return to that role, I still see his potential as a damage dealing support and would like to share my guide on how you could play him in the botlane.

Brand's Basics

Brand is a burst mage who specializes in not only taking out single targets with his immense damage, but also plays a role in shaking things up in a teamfight with his persistent damage over time.

Main Advantages:

+ He can deal a lot of damage to his foes in all laning phases
+ His range is great for poking down enemies and dealing damage with low trading as long as you position him correctly
+ Has a great choice of items depending on the match up
+ Can shred tanks relatively well
+ Has good defensive spells like his first ability, Sear (Q) and his ultimate, Pyroclasm (R).

Main Disadvantages:

- He is squishy (low defense)
- Is slow so positioning is crucial
- Relies on his allies to be on the frontline
- Can get easily outranged by artillery champions
- Has to predict and anticipate the enemy's moves to land his spells

Runes

(Currently at the moment its unknown which runes will still be good on Brand as their effects could change as the season goes on. For now I would recommend you stick to his Season 10 runes).

Domination

Dark Harvest is still a pretty solid rune for Brand as it can activate from your passive and other DoTs as it can also deal a lot of damage.
