[25.06] BASIC DARIUS JUNGLE GUIDE!

By Justkb

Hi, My name is Just1kb. I've been a league player since the end of Season 2 and have experienced a lot during my time. I've peaked at 725LP in season 14 and am now currently sat at 180LP Master this Season. I stream daily at 5pm UK time!

Welcome to the guide on Darius Jungle, brought to you by Just1kb! While Darius isn’t your typical jungle champion, he has the potential to be an absolute powerhouse when played right. Known for his devastating dueling power, high burst damage, and the ability to execute low-health enemies with his ultimate, Noxian Guillotine, Darius is a unique and strong pick for the jungle role.

Darius Jungle’s effectiveness is heavily reliant on his ability to close gaps, escape sticky situations, and maintain map presence—all of which are greatly enhanced by his movement speed. His Q grants him a brief speed boost when hitting enemies with the outer edge, allowing for rapid repositioning whether he’s clearing jungle camps or chasing down enemies. Additionally, W not only slows enemies but also boosts Darius’s own movement speed for a short duration, letting him chase down fleeing targets or escape from dangerous situations.

Darius’s E, while primarily used for pulling enemies into range, also plays a key role in quickly engaging or disengaging from skirmishes, and when combined with his Q and W, allows him to maintain relentless pressure on his opponents. R can clean up fights, resetting his momentum and enabling him to continue his pursuit of low-health targets with ease.

In the jungle, movement speed items are essential for maximizing Darius’s roaming potential and quick clear times. Items like Turbo Chemtank grant substantial movement speed boosts, enabling Darius to engage with explosive speed and maintain control over objectives, while Stridebreaker allows him to close gaps and deal additional damage during skirmishes. Dead Man’s Plate further complements his kit by providing movement speed while moving, helping him stick to enemies in extended fights.

When combined, all these factors create a mobile, aggressive jungler who can apply constant pressure, react to threats swiftly, and provide a strong presence on the map. By mastering his movement speed, Darius Jungle can become a terrifying force capable of outmaneuvering enemies, controlling objectives, and dominating skirmishes.
Jungle Pathing
1. Start at Red Buff
Red Buff is the best starting point for Darius because the extra burn damage and slower auto-attacks help with both clearing camps and sustaining through early fights.
Use Q to hit both the small and large Red Buff minions, and follow up with W for faster clear time.
2. Krugs
Move to Krugs next. Darius’s Q can hit multiple Krugs, and W helps bring down the large Krug faster.
Smite the large Krug if you need to speed up your clear and heal more effectively.
3. Raptors
Head to Raptors. Use Q to hit as many Raptors as possible, and use W on the large Raptor to kill it quickly.
This camp is easy for Darius, especially with the sustain from Red Buff.
4. Wolves
After Raptors, move to Wolves. Use Q for the AoE damage and W on the large Wolf. Darius clears this quickly, especially with the sustain.
5. Blue Buff / Gank Potential
Head to Blue Buff next for mana sustain. After clearing Blue Buff, look for any gank opportunities on mid or bot lane. Darius is strong at 1v1 duels, so if enemies are overextended, use E to pull them in and follow up with Q and W for the kill.
6. Gank Opportunity (After Clearing Blue Buff)
If a gank is possible, use E to pull the enemy, then follow up with Q and W. Finish with R if needed. If no gank is available, clear Scuttle Crab or go for Dragon.
7. Continue Clearing and Objectives
Continue clearing the jungle while looking for objectives like Dragon or Rift Herald. Darius can solo these objectives with ease, thanks to his sustain and damage. Keep farming and control the objectives with your team.
8. Repeat and Adapt
After your first clear, look to invade the enemy jungle, take camps, or apply pressure with ganks. Focus on securing objectives like Dragon and Rift Herald to help your team.
Clear Combo's
Clear Combo 1. -
Q,AA,W,E,Q. This allows you to gain a small heal at the start of combat and a larger one at the end if the large camp is still alive.

Clear Combo 2. -
AA,W,E,Q. This is if you want to purely focus the large monster in the camp. e.g Large Raptor. The combo allows you to get a large heal once the monster is almost dead.

Main gank combo. -
W if you are close or E if they are out of range. Weaved in autos depended on scenario. E.g W,AA,E. OR E,AA,W. Into Basic Darius combo. Post 6 secure with Ult or you can use R as a small gap closer if they are out of range of E in order to W and secure a kill for your laner. His R counts as a small dash/leap which can be used as a Gap close, not the most efficient scenario but can help out if necessary.
KEY TIPS!!!!
1. Maximize Q for Clear Speed
Q is Darius's primary tool for clearing camps, and it’s crucial to use it efficiently. Thi allows you to deal both single-target damage and AoE damage, meaning it can hit multiple enemies at once.
When clearing camps like Red Buff, Krugs, and Raptors, try to position yourself so that the outer edge of your Q hits as many targets as possible. This will allow you to clear camps much faster and stay healthy throughout the process.
During ganks or team fights make sure to land the outer edge of Q on enemies for the speed boost and maximum damage. The speed boost is crucial for closing gaps or escaping after taking down a target.
2. Use W for Both Damage and Mobility
W is a fantastic tool for clearing and engaging.
When ganking, W is an essential tool to keep enemies within your range. Use it to slow them down and help you stick to them, making it harder for them to escape. It can also be used to reposition quickly if a fight isn’t going as planned.
3. Early Ganks Are Key for Darius
Darius excels in early 1v1 duels, and his ganking potential is one of his biggest strengths in the jungle. With his high base damage, Red Buff’s burn for added sustain, and W’s slow, he can easily outplay squishier laners.
Look for overextended enemies, especially in mid-lane or bot-lane, who may be vulnerable to a gank. When you see an opportunity, use E to pull the enemy towards you, then immediately follow up with Q and W to either slow them or deal burst damage.
Don’t hesitate to use R if the enemy is low enough. It can reset and let you continue your gank, making it a great tool for executing enemies and snowballing your lead.
4. Smite Wisely for Efficient Clearing and Sustain
Smite is your jungle sustain tool, and when used correctly, it can make a significant difference in the early game. Use Smite on big-value camps like Red Buff, Krugs, and Scuttle Crab to heal up and maintain your health for future clears and ganks.
On Red Buff, Smite is great for sustain, as it gives you health regeneration in the early game, helping you clear and maintain a strong position in the jungle.
Use Smite on objectives like Dragon or Rift Herald to secure them quickly and heal, ensuring you stay healthy and ready for the next phase of your jungle pathing or gank.
5. Prioritize Objectives with Darius’s Strengths
Darius is great at soloing objectives due to his sustain and high single-target damage. Once you have a clear, look for opportunities to secure Dragon and Rift Herald, especially since Darius’s kit allows him to tank these objectives easily.
Use your Q to clear any small minions or neutral monsters that might be in the area. Then, focus on Dragon or Rift Herald with your high damage and smite to secure them for your team.
Control vision around key objectives like Dragon and Rift Herald. If you're ahead, make sure you invade the enemy jungle, steal camps, and apply pressure on objectives to keep control of the map.
6. Adapt Your Build and Pathing Based on the Game
Darius is incredibly versatile in the jungle, so you can adapt your pathing and itemization based on how the game is going. If you need more tankiness or survivability, items like Dead Man’s Plate or Turbo Chemtank are excellent choices to help you engage fights more effectively.
On the other hand, if you’re ahead and want to deal more damage, building Stridebreaker or Black Cleaver can enhance your damage output and mobility in skirmishes.
Adapt your jungle path to either be aggressive (invading the enemy jungle or going for frequent ganks) or farm-focused (focusing on clearing and scaling for late-game fights).
7. Positioning and Timing with R
R is a game-changer in Darius’s kit. It resets on kills, so if you’re involved in a team fight or skirmish, make sure to time it well and secure kills with your ultimate. This can lead to multiple executions, letting you wipe out enemies and continue your rampage.
In a gank, don’t be afraid to use R once the enemy is low enough, but keep in mind that it does not need to be used immediately. You can use it at the perfect moment for maximum impact.
Many Thanks.
Darius Jungle is a unique and powerful champion who thrives on his ability to dominate through movement speed and relentless aggression. While he may not be the most conventional jungler, his combination of strong dueling power, mobility, and burst damage makes him a formidable force when played effectively. With his Q speed boost, W movement increase, and the right itemization, Darius can quickly engage or escape from fights, outmaneuver opponents, and exert constant pressure on the map.

Mastering his jungle pathing and understanding how to leverage his speed will allow you to control objectives, dominate skirmishes, and catch enemies off-guard. Whether you're looking for a fun, aggressive jungler or aiming to add a little unpredictability to your gameplay, Darius Jungle can be an incredibly rewarding and powerful pick.

Many thanks KB.
