Your Satchel Charge cancels his stars while knocked up. Minefields slow him as well. He has no real way of getting onto you.
Annie
She shouldn't be able to get onto you. You can force her under turret with your Q's and Mines.
Cassiopeia
She's pretty slow but her W cancels out your Satchel Charge. She is fairly easy to hit and her Q shouldn't be able to hit you.
Lux
Just dodge her abilities. Easy matchup, she has no mobility so you can minefield/satchel charge her and force her out of lane. Push her under turret so she has to use her abilities to clear.
Malzahar
Break his spellshield and poke him down. He has no mobility and he has to flash to ult you if you play properly.
Ryze
You outrange Ryze heavily. He has to use his spells to clear under turret, so he'll have to back frequently.
Sylas
As long as you dodge his E, it shouldn't be too bad. If he goes for a Q, punish him for it. If he uses his E, you can bait him into a minefield.
Akali
Not a bad matchup. Throw a minefield in her shroud and stay near it. If she tries to poke you, she'll take a lot of damage from the mines. You can also Satchel Charge her out of her shroud.
Zoe
Shouldn't be too bad as long as you dodge her sleep. If she uses her ult, you can place your Satchel Charge on her initial point to blast her towards you or minefield it so she is forced to take the damage.
Ahri
Ahri should play very aggressive in lane, otherwise you win very easily. Try to stay behind your minions to avoid charm, but not in your minion wave as she can Q the wave and hit you all at once.
Ekko
If he E's onto you, minefield and walk into it to get him to back off or take the damage.
Kassadin
Lane phase should be okay. If he doesn't get any kills early, you should be fine. He will one shot later once he gets 2-3 damage items. Try to stay away from his Q range.
Yasuo
He blocks pretty much everything you throw at him. While his windwall is down you have room for poke. Throw down your minefield if he goes in and Satchel Charge him away.
Fizz
Pre-6 it's not too bad. Post 6, if he hits you with his ult, your only hope is satchel charging out before he gets onto you. Zhonya's is a good item if he's ahead. Also his E counters your ult. And probably everything else.
Katarina
Very annoying matchup. Stay under turret, farm and poke. Position away from your daggers and if she E's onto you, minefield and/or Satchel Charge out.
LeBlanc
This champion is very annoying. Pre-6 it's not as bad as long as you stay out of W range and dodge her chain.
Talon
Farm safe under turret. Satchel Charge him away if he gets too close or throw out your minefield and force him off or to walk through. Zhonya's is a good item.
Xerath
This is a skill matchup. As both of you are artillery mages, both of you have the poke potential.
Zed
Farm under turret and poke. Try to get a gank early on. If he gets onto you, place down your mines and force him to walk through them or back. Zhonya's is recommended if he's ahead.
I'm ParkChnm. I'm a Xerath player and am bringing my skill from Xerath over to Ziggs as they are very similar.
Why Ziggs?
Ziggs is a pretty strong champion with a lot of utility. His range makes the laning phase a nightmare for enemies as he can poke them from afar, while having a few means of escapes. Ziggs is reliant on landing your skillshots and proper positioning to stay safe, while also being able to effectively poke.

How To Play
Early Game as Ziggs
Focus on farming while also zoning your opponent. Try to use Bouncing Bomb to hit your opponent and the minions to get the most out of your mana. Against assassins, hard shove and try to take turret. Easily achievable with Satchel Charge
Mid Game as Ziggs
Continue to farm and wave clear. Try to get the first tier turrets with your W. Pick off some kills and help your teammates with Mega Inferno Bomb
Late Game as Ziggs
Stay in the backline and poke down the enemies. Your wave clear is very strong, so you can keep your turrets safe very well. It's vital you don't get caught, as you should be doing the most damage for your team.
Summoner Spells
Summoner Spells
Flash is the summoner spell you take on almost all champions. Used to get out of danger or get in range for abilities to secure a kill.
Teleport is a very good spell for Ziggs since you can hard shove your wave and teleport back or you can try to shove in the wave, roam and take a turret with Satchel Charge and then teleport back to your lane.
Ignite is a good choice when having Unsealed Spellbook since you can switch off of it. Ignite won't come in handy as often since Ziggs is an artillery mage, so he shouldn't be in ignite range.
Runes
Runes Ziggs is viable with a lot of different rune sets and keystones at his disposal. However, these runes that I've chosen work well with Ziggs and are much better choices than others. Here I will explain why and how to effectively use the runes.
Absolute Focus is very strong on Ziggs since he can almost always be above 70% HP due to his range. Very strong rune.

GATHERING STORM
Scorch allows you to do a bit more damage while pokiing, which can make the laning phase a lot worse for your opponent when used alongside Absolute Focus
Gathering Storm is very strong as the game continues and allows Ziggs to scale even more, making him a nightmare mid/late game.
Unsealed Spellbook is a strong keystone to use on Ziggs when used properly as it can give you multiple summoner spells which are useful on Ziggs throughout the game
Perfect Timing is a very useful summoner spell because in most games you will want to buy Zhonya's Hourglass and having the stopwatch saves you the extra gold.
Minion Dematerializer allows Ziggs to wave clear even better late game. This also allows him to shove in the wave, giving him the chance to back without losing much.
Cosmic Insight gives Ziggs 5% more CDR at the start of the game, which is very effective for poking. This also allows him to use his summoner spells more frequently, as well as his Zhonya's Hourglass
