Welcome to my Guide for Lucian. I'm Benciak and I main of Botlane role, I especially like to play Lucian, who is my main. My peak elo is Platinum IV.I created this guide to make a huge guide for Lucian + Nami duo and for new players. I hope you will learn something about them. Please read the Notes in runes, items and champions threatens / synergies, because I explain there why you should sometimes pick those things over other. After i played like 20 games with 90% win ratio i tought that i have to write about it. This duo is specially broken on botlane and im gonna tell you everything you need to know to play it well.

Lucian and Nami

Do you think that Lucian as one of the most broken ADC's in current season can be even better?
Yes of course he can.
There Nami arrives. Lucian is characterised by his huge burst damage and passive that makes his next attack after skill becomes double-shot. These champions works perfect together because of their passives,skills and runes combos.
When you are playin as a Lucian you feel like you are using two runes pages insted of one. When you make simple combo like E + aa + Q + aa you proc Press the Attack and Electrocute because Nami uses her E Tidecaller's Blessing that gives you bonus dmg with slow on your attacks

In some situations Nami can buy Mikael's Blessing so lucian dont have to waste item space. When Lucian is playing without Cleanse its really important to have this item on Nami

Press the Attack is the best keystone on Lucian right now. It'll give you a nice bit of burst as well as increase your DPS and increase your teams damage as well it proc nicely with his pasive.

Triumph Its life saver in fights. Its really usefull because your build doesnt have healing at all.Most games as Lucian 20g per takedown is huge advantage for Lucian because of his early game huge burst dmg.

Legend: Bloodline I would recommend this rune because of Lucian lack of life steal in build. As you can see above, Lucian doesnt have items for healing at all. so this rune is needed if you want to stay alive longer and have better laning phase. It stacks up to 9% life steal which is really usefull.

Coup de Grace Because of Lucian Nami strong early game it gives lots of damage to enemies who have less than 40% health. Huge burst from Lucian + This rune, makes you one shot machine in early and mid game. This rune is most important because simply it does most damage in your average game

Taste of Blood same as Bloodline it gives you lots of healing (based on lvl) when you damage enemy champion.

Ravenous Hunter same as Bloodline It gives you 1.5% omnivamp per stack up to 7.5%. With all these runes you dont need life steal to stay alive in fights or in laning phase

Because we are playing with Nami your laning phase should be really agressive. Nami skills works perfect with Lucian.

Tidecaller's Blessing Empowers an allied champion for a short duration. The ally's basic attacks and spells deal bonus magic damage and slow the target. As we should know it works perfect with Lucian passive. After lucian slows with auto attack Nami can throw her bubble at enemy. if you didnt have enough damage you can use R when enemy is still in bubble. it equals free kill because he cant move

lightslineger Whenever Lucian uses an ability, his next attack becomes a double-shot. When Lucian is empowered by another Ally, his next 2 basic attacks will deal bonus magic damageas I said, lucian passive with nami E works together.

When you are playing agressive on lane dont forget to place deep vision in jungle. For most cases you gonna push lane after every ADC kill so enemy jungler gonna camp botlane more and more. From my experience i can tell you that you should save cleanse for ganks and if you play it well with yours and Nami cooldowns you can do easy triple kill after 6 lvl on botlane. Dont be scared to take risky actions vs champions without healing on support like Nautilus or Thresh. It equals that you gonna win every trade you take because of Nami heals. 2 bonus magic damages + Electrocute + Press the Attack makes this botlane broken. Lucian auto attacks proc Nami Electrocute and in same time you stack your Press the Attack so you gain bonus damage, and because you have Coup de Grace its really easy to end kills. In mid game its even more easy because of collector.

Lucian is really strong in mid game and late game. You shouldnt go anywhere without your support because enemies gonna try to focus you.

On your own theres big chance that you will get smacked. In teamfights when you see that enemies are going to engage, use your Ultimate to deal HUGE damage and delete enemy frontline from the fight. Then try to focus their main DPS and stay away from theirs crowd controls like stuns or roots. In many fights you should be a little bit late and stay behind. Let your enemies waste their skills and then you can go in for free kills. Or if you are playing with Cleanse you can try to engage by your own but you have to be really patient to dont make stupid mistake and loose teamfight. Dont use your Ultimate to early because its gonna be total waste. Remember that you can always cancel that so you can focus on the targets that are the most dangerous for you.

You should focus on farming to at least 3 items like Kraken Slayer The Collector and Essence Reaver. Then you can stay with team and hold your base.

Flash For me flash is the most important spell in the game, It can be used defensively or offensively. Without it you gonna be the easiest champion to catch in your team so enemies gonna gank you all the time and you will get focused in fights.

Heal is a life saver on your lane. It can save you and your support many times in fights 2v2 or 2v3. It helps you a lot on ganks and with movement speed it gives you can run away or close gaps between you and enemies lines.

When you start with Doran's Blade you can camp in bushes shows with red circles
In these bushes you can camp at first level so you will get free first blood. Enemy adc wont waste Flash to run away or its gonna be too late for him to run away.

Never do early dives it can mess up your laning phase. You can play really agressive but remember that enemy jungler will watch your bot all the time just to gank you. The biggest enemy on botlane is enemy tower. Remember that your passive can kill 2 minions in one auto attack.
