Hello! My name is JuvX I am a Season 9 Grandmasters and a Season 10 Masters Jungle Main. I have previously mained Lee Sin, Nidalee, Evelynn and now I am currently playing [Viego due to his high skill cap and overall fun. Before I start this guide I just want to be real with you.. Viego isn’t the easiest champion champion Riot Games has ever created. Although with time and effort I assure you he will be the strongest.. now we wait for pro play.. edit: finally

Early Game

Early game will always be his weakest point, early game duelling, and contesting will be semi difficult. Although if you're able to safely clear up until level 6, you will be incredibly strong.Depending on which build you're going, your power spikes are either Ironspike Whip Noonquiver.

Mid Game

Mid game is where he shines the brightest, with a phenomenal power spike. The main focus in mid-game is to utilize your ganking ability and your overall strength in duels to be able to get a lead for your team. In either focusing Rift Herald Dragon anything that will create a gold lead. If you decide to go Goredrinker do not be afraid for fights, your survivability will sky rocket thus allowing you to do MAX dps in teamfights.

Late Game

Late game, is one of the strongest in the games. With certain pros of, amazing wave clear, damage, self peel, objective taking. When it comes to late game you want to focus on using your Heartbreaker to do the maximum amount of DPS to the most people. Try on focusing and stealing the strongest enemies champion, for that will be crucial in winning a semi lost teamfight. By this time, Elder Dragon Baron Nashor should be crucial fighting points. A full build Viego can easily solo either of these buffs.

1.Understand that you will never be able to fight him.
2.Focus on counterganks / Understanding where he is on the map
3.Focus win-con and lanes that will be able to carry due to it being hard for you to win through snowballing off him.
4.Keep Buffs warded to know where he is

1.Understand where he started on the map and do not contest his level 3 skuttle crab . Horizontal jungle so you don't have to fight him early game. Because he is stronger than you early game.
2.Do not fight him when he is at Max E stacks (Increased armor).
3.Keep Jungle Camps warded because it is very easy for him to get ahead of you thru Counterjungling.
4.Always try to stay even farm with him or he will quickly outscale you.


1. Understand you will never be able to fight him 1 on 1 early.
2. Understand you don't win 1v1 at any point in the game (he's broken champ). Focus on counter-ganks and fighting with team. (Build Executioner's Calling
4. Focus on team's win instead of Jungle 1v1. Be there for counterganks, keep enemy jg warded to be able to ping team where he is.


1. Contest Skuttle Crab Level 3, if you have priority.
2. Do not be afraid to make risky invade/plays...(Always tell your team you're invading so they're able to shove and be there just incase). If you're able to get a lead it is quickly snowballable.
3. High risk & High reward, if Nidalee gets behind in this matchup game is over.


1.You are much stronger than her early game, do not be afraid to invade through the Snowball Pathing.
2. Ward her wraiths, if you're able to collapse on her with your mid laner and put her behind = big lead.
3. Fight at Level 3 Skuttle.
4. When engaging on her post 6, use your combo Harrowed Path Spectral Maw and Blade of the Ruined King. Keep fighting in your Harrowed Path because thats where your strongest.


1. FF or Dodge, champ is just broken
2. You're stronger mid-late game (Until he has literally 1 item). If you have the stronger mid lane do not be afraid to camp level 3 skuttle. For example you have a fizz and they have a veigar. (You guys win 2v2 Vs Zac).
3. Buy vision wards and place them in his jungle to know where he is.


1. You are stronger than him mid game, do not be afraid to fight him early game. Conqueror is NEEDED in this matchup.
2. Do not be afraid to contest early skuttle crab when you have prio on lanes.
3. Keep Wraiths warded, to understand where he is on minimap.


1. This is a skill matchup, if you're comfortable on your champion do not be afraid to contest early skuttle crabs becaue you are stronger.
2. Always remember at equal items, it is whoever gets the jump first wins. If he jumps on you when you're at 0 stacks and not near a bush you are going to die.
3. Keep Vision wards around key spots to know he is.
4. FF.

Conqueror

is very strong in games where you'll be struggling to One shot the enemy jungler/team. I prefer going Conqueror in which I know there will be long fights during skuttle/ 2v2's. Regardless Conqueror is the best runes for Viego.

Cheap Shot is also crucial for Jungle Viego due to it allowing for added damage, through the use of his Spectral Maw CC.

Inspiration as a second rune is also very strong because of Future's Market. It is very useful when you want an early power spike. If you're able to go Base and purchase a Ironspike Whip at 1050 gold instead of 1200, It is a drastic powerspike to your clear. Magical Footwear is beneficial because you're able to save money on boots which is NEEDED to fuel your powerspikes.

Mythics

Kraken Slayer

The new Kraken Slayer brings potential because it synergizes well with many items, along with your Q passive which scales with max health.

Blade of the Ruined King

Blade of the Ruined King provides great self peel, with its passive and amazing shred for tanks. It's also his MAIN ITEM. Allows for extra damage scaling with Q max health damage. It's also a great item that provides great lifesteal! A must buy on Viego

Goredrinker

Goredrinker provides great self peel, with its ability to heal Viego for X amount of damage. I enjoy going Goredrinker due to it allows me to go into the teamfight without worrying about being one shot, which then allows me to be able to utilize Heartbreaker to the fullest.

Pros

Incredible mid-late game
Can Hypercarry a game
Phenomonal duelist mid - late game
Great objective taker
Healthy Clear

Cons

If you get behind, you are really weak.
Can get counter jungled easily.
Slow first clear.

When all lanes aren't gankable and you're needed to just farm quickly for Ironspike Whip. The most optimal full clear path is starting bot side. Finishing Red buff, Krugs then Wraiths. Wolves Blue buff then Gromp
When all lanes are ungankable, feel free to full clear for early buy. Your very strong first buy after purchasing. Ironspike Whip. Another large tip is that, since you are mostly weak early & first clear. Try to Horizontal Jungle against enemy Jungler so you don't have to contest early skuttle crab.
