[LT / Fleet] Cleanse is a good take here. Because of Zeri's Q range being reduced to 500, Ashe now can easily abuse Zeri on laning phase. Ashe has a lot of tool to stop Zeri's kiting such as slow and a CC. You'll be looking to outscale her in the midgame and try to allin her if she's less than 40% HP. Try to stay as healthy as possible and do an all in if you and your support have at least 20-25ish% HP advantage to the enemy botlane.
Caitlyn
[Fleet / LT] High range, one of the highest AD scalings in the game, a lot of poke in lane, pressure. Caitlyn is just a pain in the *** to Zeri. The ONLY thing that you have that she doesn't is your high mobility, so try to play around that. If she's left behind, and with cautious play, you basically win the game.
Corki
[LT / FS] Corki isn't seen in botlane now, but if you happen to be against one, play around his cooldowns, don't take a lot of poke and trade when necessary. Corki has a pretty decent amount of damage early on, so be careful.
Draven
[Fleet / LT] Exhaust is a good take here. Draven's aggresive kind of playstyle gives Zeri a very, VERY hard time. You basically have one shot to play this lane, because if Draven gets a LITTLE ahead of you, you're basically useless through the entire game. Try to trade ONLY if Draven is going for a minion, and allin him with your support if he's 2v1. If Draven dies, he'll lose a lot of his passive charges and he'll be very behind, so play around that. Bone Plating is good into this matchup.
Ezreal
[LT] Ezreal isn't much of a thread by itself. Be careful of his Sheen item powerspike, as he can easily outdamage you if played well. You want to stay between minions to avoid Q poke. Stay healthy, farm and trade when necessary. His E has overall more range than your E (excluding walls), and his E has *less* cooldown than yours. Ezreal has a lot of itemization and rune setup right now, so be careful and play around this, because he can burst you if he has First Strike/PTA and Lethality build.
Jhin
[LT] Jhin into Zeri is an interesting matchup. You want to be REALLY careful about his 4th bullet, as it does a lot of damage and can easily get you out of lane. If Jhin plays well, his Q bounce can deal a lot of damage too. You do a lot more DPS overall later on, but be careful if he gets the lead.
Jinx
Kai'Sa
Kalista
Kog'Maw
Lucian
[Fleet] Lucian ABSOLUTELY ***** on you. He has EVERYTHING that Zeri doesn't want for laning and scaling: strong laning phase, strong mid game, good scaling and a dash. I personally don't see Lucian as much of a thread right now, but because of Nami's popularity rn Lucian is one of the (if not the hardest) hardest counters of Zeri.
Quinn
Samira
Senna
Sivir
Tristana
[LT / Fleet] Exhaust is a good take here. Tristana is a very particular ADC to deal with, because she basically can jump you in basically ANY time and you'll be obliterated by her. If she's taking Lethal Tempo, you'll have a little window in early game on which you can avoid the full E proc. If she's taking Hail of Blades, you'll be entirely depending on the support's capability of neutralizing her before she's able to proc HoB + E.
Farm, trade and pray for a good support. She can't all in you effectively if she's less than 50% HP, so take that into consideration and try to efficiently trade her as much as possible. This is a very hard matchup because of her all in potential, usually paired with a CC support such as Nautilus or Leona. A good champ to ban overall.
Xayah
[LT] Xayah is annoying to Zeri. She can easily shove the wave into your tower. After Zeri's changes, I don't see this matchup as bad as before because you start to do damage after 1 and a half items. Be careful about her R timing, because it can leave yourself with no R and lose the fight. It gets a lot harder when Xayah is paired with a support that synergizes pretty well with her (or Rakan). Careful about her feathers.
Hi! I'm Zugas, a diamond Zeri main. I wanted to do this guide because Zeri is one of my favorite champions because of it's kit and being an unconventional ADC.
This isn't intended to be a very in-depth guide about Zeri. I usually open Mobafire when I'm playing a champ I'm not very familiarized with, so my intention with this guide is to fulfill the expectations of a "Handbook" I have.
Hope it helps you to understand Zeri a little bit more, and to win more games!
