Samira
She has an ability that can block everything in your kit and she deals a bunch of damage in a short amount of time which is really annoying. (P.S. this match up would be really good with Exhaust).
Thresh
He's really good at allowing Aphelios to do his job at dealing damage at a long range especially with how much peel Thresh has. This can go for Naut, Leona, Alitsar, Taric, Braum, Renata, any tank/heavy CC support.

Champion Build Guide
I tried to make it as simple as possible without overcomplicating everything but I'm not really that good at English so pardon me for my poor English skills.
Strong late game and when ahead
Has multiple playstyles
Had a lot of utility
Good teamfighter
Great range
Good against dive comps
Good waveclear and AOE damage as well as range
Quite useful in any comp
Cons:
Very weak early game
No mobility
Requires a lot of attention within the game
Large learning curve
Punishable champion very easily if not knowing what you're doing
Can be very useless the whole game
Calibrum, the Sniper Rifle, Passive>Ability>Ulti:
Passive: A long ranged Sniper Rifle just like the range of Caitlyn's autos. Really good to use when need to poke or CS long range. When the target is marked by the gun's ability, you get an extended auto range to AA that targeted enemy which reveals them for about 4 seconds and will release a shot of your second weapon without using its ammo and deals bonus physical damage to the main target for each mark consumed.
Abtility (Moonshot): Aphelios shoots a bolt in the direction of where your cursor is and when landed, it marks whatever it hits.
Ultimate: Aphelios shoots a lunar spotlight in the direction of where your cursor is and when landed with your primary gun (In this case: Calibrum), it applies an empowered mark that deals bonus physical damage each mark consumed.
Severum, the Scythe Pistol, Passive>Ability>Ulti:
Passive: Severum is the only non-projectile weapon in Aphelios' kit that has built in lifesteal for each auto you do. The healing scales off how much damage you do. It also can give a shield just like the rune, Overheal which stacks on it which only happens after you reach your max health.
Ability (Onslaught): Aphelios enters an onslaught phase for about 2 seconds gaining extra movespeed within the onslaught phase. When enter'd in the onslaught phase, he uses both Severum and his secondary weapon to deal damage and applies onhit and crit within the range that is shown to you when casted.
Ulimate: Aphelios shoots a lunar spotlight in the direction of where your cursor is and when landed with your primary gun (In this case: Severum), Aphelios get's flat healing of 250 / 350 / 450 if at least one champion has been hit by it.
Gravitum, the Gravity Cannon, Passive>Ability>Ulti:
Passive: Gravitum slows anyone that is hit by it's auto for 30% for 2 seconds then decays within a second.
Ability (Binding Eclipse): Any unit/champion that is slowed by Gravitum takes damage and is rooted them for about a second.
Ultimate: Aphelios shoots a lunar spotlight in the direction of where your cursor is and when landed with your primary gun (In this case: Gravitum), slows the enemy that is hit for 99% and can be rooted by the ability (Binding Eclipse) for about 1 second.
Infernum, the Flamethrower, Passive>Ability>Ulti:
Passive: Aphelios auto's with a bolt and once landed, it does 110% of Aphelios' AD to the primary target and when landed, it splits into a cone of 4 bolts. Any secondary part hit by the travel of Infernum or the aftermath takes less damage but can be hit by crit.
Abitliy (Duskwave): Aphelios releases a wave/cone in the direction the summoner's cursor is and any unit or champion that is hit within the wave/cone get's targeted by Aphelios' secondary weapon (in which when the target is locked on by the secondary, it is not limited to a range), applying any on-hit affect and crit.
Ultimate: Aphelios shoots a lunar spotlight in the direction of where your cursor is and when landed with your primary gun (In this case: Infernum), anyone hit by it will take AOE damage and those around take the aftermath damage from the enemies that are hit from the initial ulti.
Crescendum, the Chakram, Passive>Ability>Ulti:
Passive: Aphelios throws a boomerang (Called a Crescendum). The closer you are from the target, the faster your Crescendum/boomerang will comeback to you and the further away you are from the target, the longer it takes for you to auto and Aphelios cannot switch guns to auto within that time. Whenever Aphelios casts an ability that requires him to shoot his Crescendum/boomerang, instead he will shoot a Chakram at the target and returns to him in the same way as his Crescendum/boomerang but can auto within that time. It can stack up to 20 which lasts for 5 seconds but timer can be reseted after casting an ability or auto'ing a champion. Chakrams can crit.
Ability (Sentry): Aphelios can deploy a mini turret/sentry that is a replica of his secondary weapon that lasts up to 20 seconds if not proc'd and not targetable. When enemy walks into the range of the turret/sentry, it will fire the replica of his secondary weapon that doesn't use the secondary weapon's ammo and will apply it's ability-passive onto whatever it targets. The Sentry prioitizes champions over minions if both are in range.
Ultimate: Aphelios shoots a lunar spotlight in the direction of where your cursor is and when landed with your primary gun (In this case: Crescendum), it will create 5 Chakrams that returns to Aphelios from the first target. Addtionally, it will create 1 more for each champion hit.
Moonlight Vigil
I've listed every verstion of this Ultimate but to explain the ulti itself a little more, Alune smites the area centered on the illuminated target which grants vision of the target(s) for 2 seconds and will apply the weapon to the target(s) with whatever your primary weapon is and has 100% effectiveness to anyone targeted within the ulti. The attacks can crit and no limit to the target(s) that were hit.
You start your rotation as Calibrum, Severum, Gravitum, Infernum, and Crescendum.
You drop Severum first, then Calibrum, then Gravitum, then Infernum, then Crescendum, and then you drop Severum. After that, you should have a gun cycle of Crescendum, Calibrum, Gravitum, Infernum, and Severum.
This cycle is the normal cycle that is used the most amongst Aphelios mains. This is really good late game but sort of weak early game. You run Green Purple which is really good to catch far enemies off guard and can help your jungler or whoever is chasing, in need to kill them. Your strongest gun combo in my opinion is Blue (Infernum) and Red(Severum) because of Blue does 110% AD and when pairing that with Red, it boosts the damage by 100% and the healing of Red scales off of how much damage you do.
Cycle 2:
You start your rotation as Calibrum, Severum, Gravitum, Infernum, and Crescendum.
You drop Severum first, then Calibrum, then Infernum, then Gravitum, then Crescendum, and then you drop Severum. After that, you should have a gun cycle of Crescendum, Calibrum, Infernum Gravitum, and Severum.
This gun Cycle is really good early game which can help your early game damage to be better. Instead of the first cycle where you run Green Purple, you are now running Green Blue which does more damage especially long range but you run the risk of having Red Purple. Red Purple isn't bad but it just prevent Purple from being able to stun multiple people or long ranged champions as well as Red cannot heal as much as if you were running Red Blue. But Green Blue is really good because of how much damage you can do long range and in a short amount of time.
You start your rotation as Calibrum, Severum, Gravitum, Infernum, and Crescendum.
Aphelios is really weak early game but can be strong depending on how you play and how you can deal damage without being punished so much.
Aphelios' ammo for each gun will show under your health and mana bar so if you leashed, most of the time, people will understand and know that you leash.
Lane Phase 1, Level 1 - 6
You wanna avoid fights as much as possible but poke with Calibrum and CS with Severum. But you wanna manage yourself so you can get ride of Severum first over Calibrum. If you manage to get level 2 first, you and your support can punish them and deny them some cs (IF CAN) or make them low because Aphelios has quite the range.
Lane Phase 2, Level 6 - 9
Usually this time you have your gun cycle in a good place or at least about to. In this case, you can look for openings or fights. You are still weak but you should be able to dish out really good damage, assuming you have something like Boots and Noonquiver.
You should already by then figure out your gun cycle and be done with focusing on rotating and should be focusing on not messing it up while being able to deal great damage.
Aphelios by then needs a lot of CS and EXP (But this goes for all ADC's) with good item management.
This is also usually the time where you have won botlane or mid has won and both you and your support trade lanes with your mid to allow yourself to be safer because of Tier 1 turret.
If you're Even:
Focus on CS'ing and not being out of position. Being even is either the worst or best position depending on the match up.
If you're Ahead:
Then you should be okay. Just be sure that you are watching your positioning and watching the map. Aphelios can easy get caught out for how immobile he is so positioning near Tier 1 and not allowing yourself to be so vulnerable will be great especially when ahead.
If you're Behind:
Focusing on CS'ing and getting any amount of gold and EXP when behind can easily allow Aphelios to come back into the game as a champion. Otherwise, he's really useless but that kind of goes for every ADC champ as well.
He can be mechanically hard physically in game but he's not too hard once you start to understand his kit. He's very repetitive in games so you should get the hang of him quite easily.
Although some tips though are that I would advise not using Severum as a turret when you have Crescendum. One, cause when you place it down, you can lose a lot of the ammo you could use when you stack more Chakrams as well as those Ammo's can also go to Calibrum which can allow you to place more Sentry's down.
Tip number 2: When learning him and getting used to rotate his guns around, you don't have to use that one gun specifically for such a long time until it runs out. Usually it's best to switch here and there like example would be is when you're trying to get rid of Red and then Green. I would just CS with red specifically and then when I can, I switch to Green and stay on it for a bit as I poke and get some CS with it.
Tip number 3: He can be easily punished in many situations because of how immobile he is and how weak he is. Continue to always look forward in the game and try to stay positive and play the game to the best of your abilities. He's really strong when played without getting mentally boomed.
I feel like I'm experienced enough to talk about how Aphelios works and all that so hopefully you all can learn something from this guide!
I will update this when I can and I hope to create a little more guides for champions I love playing and that I understand quite well (or so I think so).
Again, I tried to make it as simple as possible without overcomplicating everything but I'm not really that good at English so pardon me for my poor English skills.
Anywho,
Thank You!
