Hi there! I've been playing Miss Fortune recreationally ever since her first Support appearance at Season 6 Worlds Semi Finals! This guide is just a very general guideline of how to play Support Miss Fortune, with runes and itemization. If you'd like to ask more questions, drop a comment or drop by my stream! Why Support Miss Fortune? Pros/Cons
PROS:
- Pairs well with other big AoE cc ults, such as
Amumu
Curse of the Sad Mummy or
Kennen
Slicing Maelstrom
- Lots of early roaming potential with
Strut
- You get to build
Umbral Glaive and supports hate dealing with this item.
- Punishes most immobile champions.
- Pairs decently with a good amount of control mages.
CONS:
- Really squishy
- If you can't find good opportunities to use
Bullet Time you end up being pretty useless
- Cannot deal with flanks or assassins.
- Doesn't pair too well with most ADCs
- Limited itemization.
- Limited rune choices.

Itemization
TLDR: If you can ward safely,
Umbral Glaive, if not, become a poke bot
Bloodsong
- Extra damage for when you're ahead
Celestial Opposition
- Good to fall back on so you can still channel your ult a little bit longer
Zaz'Zak's Realmspike
- Only to be taken with
First Strike to maximize that gold income.
-
Ionian Boots of Lucidity is basically your only option. It gives all the stats you want and everything else is expensive. If anyone manages to get on you, most of the time, no other shoes is gonna save you.
Umbral Glaive
- While having
Strut you have a ton of movement speed to clear out wards very quickly. Just be careful not to get too carried away, and scout ahead with
Make it Rain.
- You can combo this with
Zombie Ward if you intend to rush
Umbral Glaive
Serpent's Fang
- This works off any damage you do, so
Make it Rain or
Bullet Time will proc the shield cutting effect.
- This doesn't provide any ability haste and isn't too cheap for it's effect. I'd look to get this earliest 3rd item.
Serylda's Grudge
- This item makes
Bullet Time an absolute monstrosity. If it doing a lot of damage wasn't enough, this makes your ultimate 3x better.
- Gives all the desirable stats you want. Ability Haste, Attack Damage, and Armor Penetation.
Black Cleaver
- Help shred armor for your team to do more damage.
Liandry's Torment
- Since your team is all AD, get a bit of magic damage in there along with
Make it Rain
Blackfire Torch
- Actually pretty solid if bought first item, but only if you're ahead, since it's flat damage and doesn't scale.
- Can pivot this into
Malignance if things suddenly take a bad turn, and turn
Fated Ashes into
Liandry's Torment instead, which still does good damage.

How to use your abilities

- Make sure you "reset" the love tap by attacking a minion if you've attacked a champion, so in the case you attack the same champion again in a few moments, you won't miss the bonus damage from

- When you want to push a wave to recall or to try and roam, make sure you keep switching targets between minions to maximize your pushing power.

- This will be maxed last, and it is mostly just an additional poke tool in lane.
- You're most likely going to target a ranged minion using this due to the positioning of minions and the common proximity of where enemies stand.

- This will help maximize your travel distance for

- If you have any DoTs (damage over time) on you, make sure you press W AFTER it ends, OR, using

- This kind of ends up being like

- To push a wave quickly, make sure to constantly switch targets when auto-attacking to keep maximizing

- This is your primary poke tool. Try to hold it until

- Use this to scout brush ahead of you if you are uncertain enemies are ahead.

- This is your main setup for

- Aim for narrow areas in jungle to reduce your enemie's options of escaping, and maximizing your damage potential.
- Try to match the timing of

Runes
TLDR: You mostly have 1 rune set, and not much else is going to help you. Poke and
Bullet Time uptime good.
Arcane Comet
-
Make it Rain pretty much makes this guaranteed to land.
First Strike
- If you always can hit them first before they hit you, then this will be a weaker laning phase rune, but a much better keystone as the game goes on.
- Proc this at every opportunity that you can.
Sorcery
Manaflow Band
- Easy to stack. Just make sure it's not on cooldown when you use
Make it Rain so you stack it efficiently.
Transcendence
- Ability Haste is good. You want more
Bullet Time and
Make it Rain uptime.
Scorch
-
Arcane Comet tends to go with this to maximize poking power for lane phase.
Domination
Ultimate Hunter
- Having more
Bullet Time uptime is good, which is one of the main reasons you're playing
Miss Fortune to begin with.
Zombie Ward
- Much more appealing if you're looking to rush
Umbral Glaive
Cheap Shot
- If you're not rushing
Umbral Glaive then get this instead.
Inspiration
Cash Back
- Most of your items are expensive, but if you can get a lead, this rune will do wonders. But if you're behind, this pretty much does nothing.
Magical Footwear
- If you're not sure if you can win lane easily, this is a safe back-up option.
- Since you get free movement speed from
Strut you can get away with not buying boots for a bit.
Biscuit Delivery
- Helps get a bit more poke in since
Make it Rain costs a lot of mana early game.

Early/Mid/Late game
TLDR:
Bullet Time and poke. Don't die.
- With
Make it Rain, try to line up the use with either
First Strike or
Arcane Comet and
Manaflow Band to maximize efficiency with each cast.
- Bad match-ups generally include engage/hook champs. Just look to poke with
Make it Rain and
Double Up.
- Good match-ups generally include other immobile ranged champions like enchanters, that you can poke out, and eventually use
Bullet Time on. Look for more opportunities to auto attack.
- With
Strut and
Oracle Lens you can also roam after your first
recall to mid or top lane to get some stacks of
Ultimate Hunter or your gold quest item completion.
- By now, you should have
Bullet Time. Look for opportunities to just kill some squishies with
Make it Rain and
Bullet Time combo, on people who have no
Flash or mobility.
- Aim to have
Bullet Time for major map objectives, to constantly be of threat to your enemies.
- Always keep in mind who is a threat to you, and if you're going to die anyways, at least use
Bullet Time and put out as much damage as you can so maybe your team can clean up.

HOW TO WARD IN SEASON 14 PART ONE!
HOW TO WARD IN SEASON 14 PART TWO!
SEASON 14 SUPPORT ITEM CHANGES
14.8 Tier List
Grading Explanation below the lists! Check the RANK too!
- Miss Fortune support is definitely extremely niche, you're pretty much just playing as a giant AoE ult threat with E-R combos against very immobile enemies. This is definitely more for fun than anything else.

Tier List Grading Points
- Winrates
- Champion Difficulty (more relevant in Emerald and below)
- Counter-play (more relevant in Emerald and below)
- Flex pick for draft (more relevant in diamond+)
- Early game (more relevant in diamond+)
- Late game/scaling (more relevant in Emerald and below)
- Anything in the (_Letter_+) row, means it's better the higher in elo you go. Anything in (_Letter_-) row, means it's better the lower in elo you go.
Overall Points:
- Games last longer the lower in elo you go. Therefore, mage supports tend to do much better since you can buy your items, and you basically become another carry threat. This leads to enchanters/engage being weaker in lower level play since you would rely on your teammtes more often.
- Champions that are fundamentally easier to execute on will have higher win rates. Since it is more unlikely players are pilot-ing their champion runes/builds/kit efficiently, the easier the champion, the more likely to maximize their kits. This is especially apparent in Platinum and below.
- I would recommend playing any of the champs in S+, S, or A. However you can climb on almost anything, provided you always look to maximize your champion kit, mechanics, and impact on the game. Winning is the result of improving.
